Plenty of Fish

Received suggestion for POF Account upgrade, upgraded and been locked out since, my username and password longer works, POF states that my email address is not registered to an account (when I am 100% certain it is) and there is some other dude using my scree-name. Tried contacting Customer Service, but there is none, have sent emails and received only automated responses which were useless. This is so unfortunate because I am actually a paying continued customer of more than 1 year.

I had posted some risque photos on my profile (not of me and not X-Rated). PoF removed them. Fine. Then soon after they removed all of my (perfectly presentable and clothed face shots) photos. I have not been able to upload any photos since (about two weeks ago). I paid for a three-month membership ($51) and essentially have been ripped off since the site is basically useless to me unless women can see my face photos.

I sent several emails to their "Help" department with no reply whatsoever. Now I am posting as many negative reviews as possible and taking this up with the suitable consumer fraud government agencies.

STAY AWAY FROM PLENTY OF FISH!

Of all the dating sites online, this one takes the cake for being hands down WORST. First, the site does not allow you to date within the criteria you choose. They are going to dictate to you which women at which age group you are going to date. You have -0- say. Run as fast as you can. So if i am 57, why are they sending me women that are 77 and OLDER? Because they don't give a $#*!. They only want your money. This is the lowest quality site out there, don't waste your money, go buy a pizza instead.

The women are the ugliest. Compare them to tinder and bumble and hinge, 100x better. Not sure why, but that's how it rolls. Don't waste your time and money on this $#*!ty site.

I wasn't expecting POF to be at the same level as Match or eHarmony -- you get what you pay for. But I do not like the fact that a lot of the recommended matches are people who haven't logged in to POF for months or in one case almost a year. Had I known this, I wouldn't have paid for it. This is deceptive and fraudulent.

I am a Veteran widow. I was harassed and stalked by scammers on this site and then I was blocked from the site by POF. I am insulted and disgusted by the way I have been treated. Not only by all the scammers but by the way I was treated by whoever manages this site.

After I've been moving to a new city I joined bunch of online dating sites to meet new people. POF seems to be one of the largest dating sites and I've found many members from my new home town so in my opinion it is really worth joining. However, I did not meet anyone using POF. In the meantime, I've met several people using Mingle2day and eHarmony so compared to those two dating sites I'd give POF 3 out 5 stars. But as mentioned it seems to be large so it is always worth a try.

I created a profile on POF one week ago after it was recommended by a friend. Today I opened the app and was surprised to see that I needed to login. I was even more surprised to find that I was unable to login because I was told that my email address wasn't "real" I tried the helps but I have to login to to get help! This has been a circle of frustration! The site is closed to me and with no way of addressing the problem I can either create an entirely new profile or delete the site altogether. I deleted the app! Too much trouble!

Every single "meet me" invite and private message was a HIDEOUS women. I mean 50+ lbs on me and just not very pretty at all. Very few profiles take the time and effort to fill out the fields (which admittedly is not pof.com's problem). I am not too shallow but I tend to pull 8-9's in real life but ONLY get messages from 3-5's on POF. I am so pissed off that I have am seeking out review websites to complain about POF. Good set up, great ideas and such but just HORRIBLE results.

Any decent woman shouldn't need to be on a dating site & from what I've seen there's very few decent woman on POF
There's something wrong with them all. Either the job rules their life, they're fat, they're rude, they're unpleasant, they're unintelligent, they have kids, they have poor jobs, they have no class, no morals & extremely picky. They're all looking for Mr Right but Mr Right wouldn't look twice at this loss

How can you be 38 years old and longest relationship be under 1 year long? It's full of this kind of females and this tells you there's something wrong with them if they can't keep a man?

Its bad enough you have very low quality women on the site but what makes it worse is they all believe they are a hot commodity and are a 10/10 catch when they are more likely a 2/10/. Its full of deluded women and is pointless even signing up for

Most are too dumb/lazy to fill their bio out but if they do its full of silly demands and how they love tattoos and going out. IF on the off chance you do find someone okay you will find they have tons of kids they expect you to tolerate

Lets be honest you wont find a decent woman on here, why would they stay on here when they are being constantly bombarded with perv requests or simp men? All you have is a website full of women that nobody wants

And not a legit profile. Whenever I do a search on Google image I find the pic is that of a porn star or a model or an ad for clothing or some other product. IMHO, nearly every attractive picture is a fake pic and fake profile. Big waste of time.

I had never previously used a dating service but upon seeing a commercial for POF decieded to give it a try. I went on a few dates with some very nice men however there was no real sparks for the first few months however in my third month of using the site I was lucky enough to meet my perfect match. I cant begin to express my graditute to POF for providing this free service and allowing me the opportunity to meet such a wonderful man. I definitely recommend this site.

In the review I wrote a few months ago, I said that at least 5O% of profiles on POF are fake. I stand corrected: easily 80% are fake, many of which are scammers POF uses for marketing purposes.

As for the remaining 20% of profiles, good gawd. Downright depressing. POF search results are like a study of the drastic decline in the physical, mental, social, and economic well-being of men (and probably women) in the last 25 years or so. It's pretty bleak.

A tip for those on here complaining about profiles that have messaging deactivated: in all likelihood, those profiles are fake.

Can't send messages half the time it comes up with, "Error" and tells you to resend. Have to pay to use properly. Get free but all you can do is messages. That doesn't work half the time. Sometimes they won't even let you message. Says this person is looking for something else. Would not recommend to anyone. It used to be a good dating app about twenty years ago. Now got too big with no customer service. Can't even speak with an agent if you have a problem. Other reviews on here said someone spoke with someone from India. Long way from Canada. That person wasn't no help. Always read tge terms, I'm been on a couple of apps that actually say these are not really people and you'll never meet them. For entertainment purposes only. That's why I came to POF, there are real people but app sucks.

I highly recommend people that if you are looking to sign up to a dating website, don't sign up to pof. I invested a lot of time and effort in writing a decent profile out finding decent upto date pictures of myself, but it led to nothing. I'm not the best looking guy in the world but I'm certainly not the worst. I am a normal decent guy with a s dddent career who is looking for a genuine relationship. Surely that's what most girls want?
You send a detailed message to a girl, she reads and doesn't respond. I can go days without a profile review. A lot of profiles seems to be fake and if they aren't, they just want attention. I thought this might be due to the fact I haven't payed to upgrade. I decided I was going to pay the money to do the upgrade but before, checked the reviews to see if it was worth it. Too my surprise, or shall I say 'no surprise' everyone has said it's not worth paying for the upgrade.

A waste of time and effort!
