I would never recommend this site to anyone. I ordered a steam account on this page. Even bought an additional insurance, so that I will get refunded or another account will be given to me, but I still got scammed from the seller.

I opened a dispute telling them very kind, that I got scammed and the details don't work. I asked for a refund. For no reason and without any proofs they closed the dispute. I even asked if I could claim the insurance that I bought. No answers, just closed dispute.
After that I even opened a paypal dispute and also that got dropped.

The support is a joke, not even a word from them regard this.

72$ blow in the wind, scammed by a seller, supported by PlayerAuctions selling bs insurances.

Hello Jannik,

I'm very sorry that the dispute had to be closed promptly. The reason for this is because you were unable to send incriminating evidence for your case. We require users to validate their claims in order to make the dispute process fair to the other user, otherwise it would be easy for anyone to make an unwarranted claim. We have a short explanation about this on our disclaimer when buying an insurance package: https://i.imgur.com/xuvAhYo.png

We are truly sorry if you found the dispute to be difficult. In case you have further questions about this or other concerns related to our platform, please email support@playerauctions.com anytime.

Best regards,
Richard

The site was prompt but it took a lot to get my ability to buy set up, first of all my previous account which was from the early days of the site would not work, had to make a second account. Then the payment verification system required a trip that cost $15 to verify a charge amount effectively making my $10 into a $25 purchase. I hope this is only a 1 time thing or I will be unable to use the site in the future.

Hello there, Gabe,

I have checked with the team, and there was no excess of $15 on your purchase. The total amount is just $10.56. Could you please check again? The excess on top of the $10.56 could be a from a different payment or order which is outside of PlayerAuctions. I checked and this is your first order, and you have no other orders as of the moment, so it's impossible to have an additional cost like that.

Please let us know about your findings soon. Hope you have a good day, Gabe.

Richard

Registration to the PlayerAuctions website are terrible, also customer service questions, that customers have send their selfies, selfies with documents and bill statement pictures to the customer services. If registration to the website failing, customer service like "punish" the new users asking many-many IRL pictures proving that they are right people and they are really exist. If registration are so difficult, its site and developers fault, not customers. But still inside website services are really fast and great! :)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about our registration and verification process. We're very sorry if you found it to be difficult, but the reason we go through that is for us to fully establish your identity. I bought an account with insurance. It didn't serve any purpose, they don't defend the consumer, one of the previous owners of the account still had possession of the account and when I tried to communicate with the seller he barely could speak english and we didn't reached an agreement. I disputed and obviously, PlayerAuctions didn't refund. So, just stay away from this site.

Hello Rogerio,

Sorry to hear about this, it must have been confusing to communicate with a seller who couldn't understand the discussion. Regarding your case, before we issue a refund we still have to ask buyers to provide compelling evidence. This is a must for our cases, since we need to establish that the buyer's claim is valid to make the process fair for the sellers. We would have treated it the same if the seller also made a claim.

If there is anything else that we can help you with or if you have any questions, please let us know anytime by emailing support@playerauctions.com.

Hello Riccardo,

I'm sorry for how your order has turned out. Please note that we never close cases without any good basis, and the reason yours was closed is because our team did not receive any compelling evidence to support that the ban happened --- and that it was caused by your seller. I can also see that you weren't able to purchase any insurance, and though we provide after sale support, I'm very sorry but we cannot issue a refund for non-insured orders.

If you have further questions, please let us know anytime, Riccardo.

Scammer helper site
April 29, 2018

I had over 20 purchases on this site. All previous purchases were successful.
OK before that everything was fine.

Then a week ago

Bought 2 lol accounts.
Received wrong login information.
Started dispute for account 1
Bought another (didn't notice it was the same seller)
Received wrong login information again
Started dispute for account 2
Seller said in resolution center that pointed I was trying to scam for two of his 5 dollars accounts. (for both case)
Playerauction asked me to provide proof.
The account information was wrong at beginning. How can I proof that?
THEY DONT EVEN VERIFY THE ACCOUNT BEFORE SEND IT TO YOU
Seller escalated two cases. Playerauction issued transaction to seller right after.
They will stand to the scammer side if you both not providing strong evidence.
Case ended up with paypal refunded me with no cost to seller.
Then it does not allow me to make payment with paypal anymore.
No one can tell if a seller a scammer. If you purchased from scammer, that was you responsibility.
But when you got scammed and the platform always stand by the scammer's side while you and the scammer are providing same amount of evidence.
Then the site is totally piece of $#*!.

Hello Zhan,

Thank you for sharing your side of the ordeal. I'm very sorry to hear that there were problems with your two orders, and as per checking I can see that you have already disputed the orders. I know it might have been difficult for you, but we require buyers to prove their claim by submitting compelling evidence. This is to validate a user's claim and to also make the process fair to the seller --- otherwise, anyone on our website can claim anything. We have a disclaimer for that when purchasing an insurance package, and you might have missed it: https://i.imgur.com/xuvAhYo.png

Second, we'd like to tell you that we are NEVER preferential when it comes to users. This is what our mediation is about, and we actually process a lot of refunds on a daily basis. But like any process, we do have to follow protocols and this comes in the form of accepting valid and compelling evidence. As for sellers being scammers, unfortunately this is beyond and outside our control and this is why transactions will always entail some form of risk. This is what the insurance system is for, to mitigate the mishaps but a necessary component of that is as I've said earlier --- compelling evidence.

Sincere apologies for the hassle, Zhan. If there's anything else I can help you with, I'd be happy to oblige.

Best regards,
Richard

Went through a very irritating process of talking to one of the sellers on the site, who sold me a stolen account. But i went through the process and playerauctions helped and did the right thing. I cannot speak for any of the actual sellers on here but the site is good. Just dont like that i wasted 2 months on a stolen WoW account that got taken back.

Even emailed their support to show them this guys is scamming more people. They did nothing even with fair warning, so they are complicit in fraud.

Playerauctions is really only good for one thing... Buying gold. IF you're looking to buy an account, please don't do it here unless you're buying from someone with 50,000+ rating.

Bought an account and the insurance with it. Everything was great for a couple months. The account was then recovered by the owner. I took several screenshots of the recovery attempt proving that the recover email was changed and that the account information was changed.

Here's where it gets good... The seller didn't even respond to the dispute. And player auctions decided that his "evidence" was enough to win the case.

It's an absolute sham. If the screenshots I provided were "not enough evidence" then there is literally no possible way to have enough evidence to win a case with this support system.

Also after contacting them about how they could side with someone who didn't even respond to the case they told me. "Sorry the case has already been closed and we can't reopen it." Which just goes to show the only reason they're not siding with me is that they would actually have to pay out for their own insurance.

Please please please heed my warning. You can buy gold from this site. BUT DO NOT buy their insurance. Because if the seller recovers, your insurance literally doesn't matter.

Also judging by the other reviews... I'm sure they're going to respond saying "I didn't provide compelling evidence"... They will say this no matter what evidence you provide... Because other than finding the scammer in real life, dragging him to their headquarters and having him confessed. I provided all the evidence that someone being scammed can...

Hello there, Brendan.

Thank you so much for sharing a very detailed account of your experience with our services. At the same time, I'd like to apologize for all the inconveniences that you went through with this order. I'd like to offer some explanations and hopefully it doesn't mirror the expectations you stated in your post.

First off, the way sellers prove that they were able to deliver the account is through the automatic delivery system or manual delivery. The second proof is once they are able to change the email address of the game account to the buyer's preferred email address. Once that's done, buyers are given 72 hours to secure the account by acquiring the recovery information and changing it. I'm very sorry but PlayerAuctions is neutral in this process and doesn't have a hand in acquiring and changing the info --- it's up to the buyer to do those during the 72 hours phase. This is why they are rarely required to submit anything, unless the account received by the buyer is not described as is.

Second, buying insurance still requires buyers to prove their claim. This is in place to make the process also fair to the seller, since we cannot wrongfully take away the seller's payment and thus it has to be validated. We have a disclaimer for that and you might have missed it: https://i.imgur.com/xuvAhYo.png

Our team states what kind of evidences are required, and these are as follow:

- Any correspondence from the game publisher regarding the status of the account in which game publisher states the account was given back to original owner, hacked, banned, or permanently suspended.
- Any conversations with the seller about your account being reclaimed.
- Any additional supporting documentation that can help us determine whether the account was lost due to the seller’s actions.

An example of a compelling evidence from the game publisher looks something like this: https://i.imgur.com/0YZRhOv.png (actual screenshot that won the buyer his case).

It is deemed compelling for the following reasons: (1) it comes from the game publisher, (2) it states what account is affected and what happened with it, and (3) it also states who recovered it, and by original owner it means the seller. There is an argument that sellers could have re-sold the account and that he is a 2nd degree owner. However, we disregard this part and just conclude that any reclamation from previous owners will have the seller accountable for it.

I hope this answers some of your questions, Brendan. Let me know if you have other concerns about this, and I would be happy to answer them.

Best regards,
Richard

I wanted to get back into Runescape after not playing for years, so I paid $220 for an old school Runescape account along with playerauctions insurance and the seller stole the account a week later and changed it to his email. I contacted the seller and he completely ignored me, so I disputed the case, provided multiple claims and screenshots of evidence, meanwhile the seller did not even respond to the dispute. Not only did not provide any claims or evidence to argue the dispute, but he didnt say anything at all. And guess what? He got disbursed my $220 while I received nothing. What did my insurance do other than give playerauctions some money? Now I have no account and lost my $220 and Playerauctions took the side of the scammer.

Hello Jeremy,

I'm sorry to hear about what happened with your account. As per checking with our team, I found out that you were unable to submit compelling evidence for your claim. You might have missed the disclaimer when buying an insurance package --- that even if an insurance package is bought, buyers would still need to submit proof if the account was reclaimed. It is shown here: https://i.imgur.com/xuvAhYo.png

As for the seller, he was able to prove that he submitted the account as per the transaction proceedings, since the log shows that you successfully logged into the account and you have confirmed receiving it.

My apologies for the hassle, Jeremy. If you have further questions about it, please email us at support@playerauctions.com anytime.

Avoid this website
April 7, 2018

This website is actually the worst trading site ever. If you aren't willing to pay double the price of your purchase, you will most likely lose out on whatever you buy when it is banned, recovered, or confiscated. That huge payment that protects your product is also non-refundable, so you're out the same amount of money anyway. What a god damn waste. Has happened 5/5 times for me now and you cannot dispute the seller on paypal because the website is the middleman.

Hello there, Sawyer,

I'm very sorry to hear that this has happened to you for five times already. However, we cannot account for reclamations specially if the buyer is unable to secure the account. We provide 72 hours before the order is closed and this a good opportunity for buyers to request for the recovery information from the seller. Having these info will enable users to fully secure the account and prevent any reclamation. We cannot guarantee that all trades are free from risks, that's why we offer insurance packages for orders which mitigates instances like this. As per checking, I'm afraid this order was placed without insurance so we cannot issue a refund. I am very sorry for that.

If you have further concerns and/or questions about this, please do not hesitate to drop us a line at support@playerauctions.com.

Don't ever buy from a person known as "Chinanumba1" because he scams you of all your money + reclaims back accounts. He also will accuse you of being the crazy one and playerauctions doesn't care and will unfairly judge. I lost my account + money and playerauctions took his side. Never buy from this seller!

Hello there, Mihyeon,

I'm terribly sorry about what happened with your order, but as per checking, you failed to submit compelling evidence. This process is in place in order to be fair to the seller as well. Please note that even if you buy insurance, you would still be required to submit evidence to prove your claim as shown here: https://i.imgur.com/xuvAhYo.png

I'm sorry but the case is already closed and we can no longer re-open it. If you have further questions, please send an email to support@playerauctions.com. Thank you and good day, Mihyeon.

I bought a maxed (all 99s) account that was recovered HOURs after the system auto processed the feedback for the seller. I had authenticator set up, changed the email address and password etc. The seller initially provided the wrong information for the account, and it took hours to get it logged in.

They asked me to get verification from the Jagex team that the initial owner took the account back, so I submitted a ticket just to get an auto-generated response. There is no way to do this, so they are trying to just keep the money. I purchased insurance on the account, which apparently meant nothing. I'll be requesting a paypal chargeback if this is not resolved soon.

Hello there, Kama,

I'm so sorry to hear about what happened with your order. We give all buyers 72 hours after account transfer to fully secure the account, and this is where you have an opportunity to ask for the recovery info of the account so you could fully secure it. If there any doubts, you could have cancelled the order or raised a dispute that the account is incomplete.

As for asking the game publisher for a correspondence, let me assure you that it's very possible. We've had successful refunds just this week and the buyers all went through Jagex's email support. You can also get them from their Twitter support. Please note that buying insurance still requires submitting compelling evidence for your case; the disclaimer is on the site when buying an insurance package for your order:
https://i.imgur.com/xuvAhYo.png

I'm very sorry we can no longer reopen this case, Kama. I will be sending you a PM so you can write back to us if you have any questions.

Best regards,
Richard
