I paid for the first month (March 2019), then canceled their service (April 2019). Three months after I closed my account, July 2019, Pigeonly started drafting money ($7.99) from my bank account 14 different transactions! When I realized it, I called them and they apologized and refunded my bank for 5 of those transactions. I've been calling them since November 2019 about the remainder of the money they owe me. It's now April 2020, and I've been given every excuse in the world as to why they haven't refunded the total amount yet. After asking for my new bank account info bc I had to change cards so they couldn't steal more money from my account, they say... since it's been more than 90 days, they can't refund it to my bank (not sure why the whole amount wasn't refunded in the beginning). Then they said they'll mail a check & I should get it in 30 days (February 7) I call back to see where the check is, then they say I have to fill out a form, and billing will email a form to me. They have 2 emails on file. I've never received a form or anything from them. I've asked them to email it while on the phone with me, but they say they cannot do that, only billing can and they'll do it within 24 hours, but never do. I've also been in contact with 2 different customer service ppl via email, same lies and run around. I've never experienced a company stealing money from my bank account several after their service had been discontinued. I don't understand why they won't give the money back they stole from me. I've called them NO LESS than 75 times regarding this. I made a claim with the BBB - Pigeonly replied several times stating they'd call me, but never have.
I suggest NOT to use their service! If you do, check your bank statements daily, and order a brand new bank card after you cancel your service with them to keep them from stealing your money later on. Google Pigeonly claims, I'm not the only one! They're definitely known for stealing people's money from their bank account.
I paid a $5 a month subscription for letters not 1 letter went out! I also paid $13 for them to save me money on phone calls I made a deposit of $26.06 I was charged. 70 a minute the jail charges. 50 a minute. Pigeonly is a SCAM!

I signed up for the free 3 day trial and ordered about 10 pictures. I purchased the 9.98 subscription for greeting cards and pictures to be charged monthly. My order continues to say processing and never went through. In the past 3 days I've gotten 20 dollars worth of unauthorized charges to my credit card. Very aggravating! You have to be a special kind of $#*! to take advantage of families trying to take care of their loved ones! Canceled my subscription and replaced my credit card with a gift card so these charges better stop. If not I will have to cancel my credit card!

I have disputed with pigeonly about services not received as advertised and was granted a refund, but since then pigeonly has been sneaking in charges to my account which I have disputed and again granted refunds. My credit information has been removed from their sight, but somehow again yesterday I noticed that pigeonly has been starting up their sneaky thieving act of charging me again.

This place is so unorganized and inept. They have taken another $90 out of my account unauthorized by me, they have taken money from my account so many times now I can't count. All up approx $180 has been taken and I'm still waiting to get it back. They abuse there position knowing I can do nothing from New Zealand to get a refund. I was told I would be getting a refund for all my orders because of the time it has taken them to process my orders and get them mailed out. The lady I spoke to on the phone lied to me and said that all my orders had been mailed out but the system just hadn't been updated yet. That was over a week ago and today I received a email from pigeonly saying one of my letters had been mailed out. She also told me my subscription would be canceled and refunded. Obviously that hasn't been done yet either. The inmate is not even in jail anymore. He didn't get ONE LETTER I sent through pigeonly even though it has been over 2 weeks since I wrote my first letter! That is unacceptable! What a rip-off! There is no clear answer how much it costs, they just keep telling you what a good deal you are getting and TAKING YOUR MONEY. The problem is, if you want to talk to your family in jail, you have no choice except to choose between all the companies like this one that can charge you whatever they want. Its the same with trying to get food to your inmate so they don't starve in there, you have the pay their price for ramen noodles. And it costs a lot more than walmart. But their sappy emails are TOO MUCH. Yuck. Never again will they get my money.

Pigeonly is terrible. Twice with 3weeks $19.99 has been taken out of my account. I only have phone service through them and it's nowhere near $19.99 a mth! The first refund was a breeze to get my money returned. This second round, I'm still fighting for my $ to be returned. It's been over a month. Supervisor Katy is a joke and a liar. The phone #'s barely work on the weekends. It always technical issues for a service that's being paid for that you can't use! I'm furious! As soon as I get my $ back and find another company for inmate calls, I'm done with them! I'm contacting the BETTER BUSINESS BUSINESS BUREAU as well. They need to be aware of this so called company!

I don't even know where to start. It seems like Pigeonly doesn't care about you being in contact with your loved one. They just want your money. I was stupid enough to prepay knowing the date my husband was coming home. My husband kept on having issues after issues using the number they provided. I called multiple times to complain because what's the point of having their number where my husband is calling my direct out of state number and paying 21 cents a minute? They kept on telling me that the number is working and they don't see why he is having issues. After 2 weeks of having the issues where occasionally he was able to use the number and 90% of the time he could not I had had enough. I told them to refind my money and cancel the account or fix the issues. The lady on the phone told me I will get someone to look into the problem and see what can be done. One week later - no call. I received an email today that my account was closed. What?! Where is my money? I called again and talked to Angel who promised to take care of the issue and see what can be done. She did tell me that the company has been doing some work on the system for the last few weeks and that's why my husband has been having issues. NOBODY TOLD ME THAT! After 45 mins on the phone she asked if she can call back and still promised to fix the issue. We agreed on the time she will call back - nothing. No call. What kind of company is this?

I finally caught onto how many times they've been charging my card since owning the service. Dating back one year they charged my card for $19.99 (11) times, $14.99 (4) times, $7.99 (58) times, and $2.99 (15) times. None of that includes the cost of the service. Almost $800 has been stolen from me by these guys.

Cathy, you are correct if you look into him you will see he was a former convict but you will also find out the difficulty of starting a business as a former convict is. It is ironic that because he was in prison he best understands the target market, however being in prison meant banks and other investors viewed him and his business negatively. Regardless he built a business out of providing prison local phone numbers for families out of state to use. That saves inmates so much money in long-distance calls. If the lawyers decide we have a valid case, they will draft the complaint and file with the appropriate court. The judge must approve the class action before it can go any further; the lawyers will reach out to injured parties, and/or post the suit/settlement on classaction.org, newspapers, etc. If you aren't contacted, please make the effort to join this class action once it's posted. It doesn't require an appearance in any court, nor much of your time. These people are lining their pockets at the expense of so many of us already forced to deal with unfortunate situations.
