I was told I had to have certain documents at time of pick up. I took time off for the tow truck, when they arrived I was informed I didnt have the correct documents. I was Missing the original business letter that had been emailed to them. I was Never told I had To have this. I went and picked up the business letter, drove down to the KCKS pick n pull location. I was Then informed that they couldn't take it bc there was a lien on the title and I didnt Have that document. Why was I not previously Asked or informed about this? I have Spent countless phone hours, time off of work, and mileage in dealing with these people, just for them to tell me they cannot pick up now. I am beyond disgusted with their lack of communication and their complete disregard of treatment with their customers.

Waste of time!
August 29, 2018

My son called them twice to come get his truck. Both times they scheduled a time to come out. They never showed up and when he called them they would not return his call.

Rip Off Pricing
July 29, 2018

Pick n Pull is ripping off all of its customers and it must stop.

Firstly, They charge customers a core charge to buy parts and they openly advertise that will not return cash to customers!

Secondly, They only offer yard vouchers for you to buy more junk parts!

Thirdly, ALL SALES ARE FINAL and they will not return your money for any reason.

I have always recommended Pick N Pull to all of my car re builder buddies but no longer. If you want to deal with a reputable parts seller, try Rock Auto. They are always a pleasure to deal with.

Horrible experience
July 25, 2018

So first I got my quote online and I call the 1-800# posted on the quote that you can print out. I asked her what the process was and she said that they have block times that they come to pick up the cars and I would have to be home during the whole block which would have been 12-4 which I can't afford to take off half a work day to wait around for someone to come pick the car up so I asked her what my other options were and she said I could bring the title and my drivers license in to the Truman location. I told her I work from 8-5 but can sometimes get off around 4:30 and she said that was fine and that I could take my title and drivers license up to the Truman location before 6pm mon-sat. So I go up a couple days later and I got there around 5:30 because I work all the way in overland park and this place is all the way downtown. And my husband and I are just standing in line waiting and at first I didn't mind until my husband pointed out one of the cashiers wasn't doing anything but just standing there talking. So finally after about 10 minutes she decides to come up and address us and asked us what we needed so we told her we were there to sell a car. And she said that office closed at 4:30 and I told her we were told we could come up before 6 with the title and my drivers license to sell the car. So she said we could go wait at the desk. So we go wait for another 5 minutes or so and the employee that worked at that desk walked in and immediately was like we closed at 4:30 and I was like I understand but when we called the number printed on the quote we were told we could come before 6 with the information and she was like they are in California they don't know anything then she turns around points at the sign and says "this says 4:30pm" so I was like "okay let me find the number we called" then she was like you're selling a car? And we were like yes so she just walks away starts cleaning up her area and continues to ignore us. Then one of the other employees literally makes my husband move so he could mop the area and I didn't notice at first until he started hitting my feet with the mop! So I moved away and about 10 minutes go by as were waiting for the girl to come back. When she does she takes my title and ID and I told her my new drivers license has my married name on it but I brought my old one that has the same picture, drivers license number, and maiden name which is printed on the title and she says that we now have to bring our marriage certificate up. It was downright a horrible experience and I would definitely recommend just using Craigslist. It was definitely not worth wasting our time for $145.00. We are just going to post on Craigslist instead of going back.

Wow, fake reviews.
June 10, 2018

Once when i went here, there was a guy pulling his pud in a datsun 280zx. When i went and told management, they didnt give a single F*CK. Tried charging me like $200 for the plastic cover on a mustang bumper that went for $150 new. I told them forget it and they gave it to me for $50 because it wouldve obviously gone to the dumpster. Trashy people and $#*! prices. My review is for the Lynnwood, WA location (where a guy died because of how they leave the cars suspended on steel rims). Dont even bother with them unless you have an emergency. Btw, nice fake reviews. The only five star reviews have the exact same wording, great website opportunity and prices! Give me a break. That is just sad that you have to buy your reviews for your terrible company. Gross.

Been to pick and rip a thousand times, but now im done. Tired of their horrible service, and way to costly parts. Almost all parts are more at pick n pull used, then new on line, or at the auto parts store. Then their fake environmental fees. Door fees... please. 20$ plus buck for a used late 80' headlight at pick n rip... auto parts store, 7$ bucks. Honestly, garbage prices, and rude service. Buy on line, its cheaper and better quality.

Bad bad service
February 28, 2017

I went to pick n pull to buy an engine of a 02 ford ranger 4.0. When I got there and started working on taking out the engine after 3 hrs a guy came in and said that engine was his. I told him no because u had been working on it since early in the morning and I had it off the car already and was ready to pay for it. Then he went to the office and got a girl name Maria. She said she was the manager. She then told me that the engine was his. I told her I was working on it for about 3 hrs she still insisted that the engine was that one guys. Then she call another guy and he came and told me that engine was not mine. So I told him to pay me the 3 hrs I had been working on that engine if he wanted because I had it out the car already. Then he call corporation. I guess they told him how stuff work at pick n pull. Who every takes it out and has it they get it. I ended up getting it and buying it. None of them could help me out until. This happened at picknpull in Kansas city no on 12st just so you guys know to fight for your stuff if they try to take them away from you after you been working hard on them.

Arlington, Wa location..
January 11, 2015

Arlington, Wa location.
They are way over priced, on top of made up fees and OMG! Core charges!, at a junk yard, The worst part is they nickel and dime you for extras as they call it. I bought a center console, and they wanted to charge me extra for the cigarette lighter and ash tray,
A few months prior I bought a moon visor that had five lights on it and they charged me extra for each light,,, so pissed. That's like going to the store and getting a fountain drink, and u get charged extra for the lid and straw and then getting a ice recycling fee

WTF I am sure that 80% of customers leave feeling ripped off or pissed

They may say they have the car year and model you are looking for but they will not guarantee they have the part you need. Most of the cars are damaged and/or partially stripped. Over an hour drive to the location and guy wouldn't look to see if they had the part I was looking for. When I got there, no luck parts all smashed. Plus they charged me just to enter the yard and look! What a rip-off. I found new parts on-line that were cheaper than what they put you through. Don't waste your time!

Pick n pull is a great website business as well as local opportunity to get used auto parts for very cheap. You just pay two dollars for the entrance fee and enter with your auto tool set. Needed a toyota car rear mirror and an auto retract antenna. Both fixed for under $50. Obviously much less than buying it direct from toyota.

Just make sure you bring your own tools, gloves and check the website before heading down to one of their locations.
