Called to cancel Monthy membership. Was told yes they can cancel at the renewal date of April 2024 and would have to continue to pay monthly until then despite due to bidenomics and other financial restrictions, was unable to continue payment... After telling them I would be.getting an attorney, calling the BBB,going to every social media outlet I could think of as well.as local news... they finally canceled my Membership. They are more concerned with $$$ not the customer.

I lost my horse this week and had a prescription en route from Petco. I contacted them to see if I could cancel the order and altho I was not able to return it they still offered a refund. In an age where every company is after every penny they can get here's Petco doing the right thing because it's the right thing to do. What a refreshing change! In the past I have always had great service and fast shipping and the website is easy to navigate and order from as well. As a comparison... Chewy would not do the same for the bottle of Pergolide I had just recieved. They wanted it back but we had already donated it to a local rescue. I am a shopper, with a horse that needed alot of management I had to be price savvy so I can assure you Petco had the best price on the med I was ordering. Petco will always be the first place I shop. Thank you for helping my nightmare week just a little better Petco.

Their dog training is no better than you can do yourself. Spend the money and get a real dog trainer in the end it will be cheaper and less stressful for you.
I ordered something from Petco here in the town I live in. I don't drive so I figured have them ship it it shouldn't take long. Well it now shows shipping label created and I ordered it 5 days ago. Ups is saying Thursday is when I should get it. 9 days seems ridiculous when it is ordered from same town. It isn't even a very big town. Next time I will order from Amazon they are much faster.

Petco has ads all over the internet searches selling Renew Gold for horses at 24.04 and yet when you click on it to try to make the purchase Petco charges 36.99 instead. Even if you call customer service they tell you they can't sell it for 24.04 and they challenge you on where you saw their ad price, when told them I saved a screen shot of it and can send it to them then they tell you if you create an account with them you will get a discount equal to giving you the ad price. I created that account and the price still showed the higher price and the customer service person said there is nothing they can do except charge me the higher price and later send me a discount in a partial refund. I'm not stupid. No way are they getting me to click Buy Now at that price and trust them to adjust the price later.
Petco is one of my favorite stores that offer things for pets. I usually buy supplies such as beds and bowls there. I also got a few toys and they were fine. Last time i bough harness and collar - it was on sale, buy 2, get 30% off. My dog looks super cute in them so good purchase. Shipping was super fast!
I started with an email from them saying I could get 40% off for a repeat order. On their website that became 35% off. In check out it became 5% off! I then got on a chat with them and after 20 minutes of back-and-forth they said they'd give me my 35% off as a one time thing. But when I went to check out, it actually had me making a donation to them as well! This is very disappointing to me because it's easy for me to get my dog food from Petco and now I feel in order to show them that this is not acceptable, I need to change the store I buy from. I decided not to be party to this scam! Be wary of the actual percent off that you get!
Beware of ordering online for this place and check your payment method after you receive your shipment. Part of my order was missing, and they double-billed me for the same order. I never received any message that there were items I had ordered that were not going to ship. You don't find that out till you receive your package. When contacting them about being doubled bill I'm told they will look into it and get to me. Never heard from them again. I'm done with Petco this was my first order and it is going to be my last I'll never place an order with them again.
I attempted to order something from Petco on line. The order was never placed. I was charged for the order. I attempted to get a refund. They not only refused to give me my money back, they stated that I came into the store and made a purchase. Unbelievable. Won't use their on line again. Use at your own risk, they are not helpful.
I have had a repeat delivery for at least a year now and in my latest shipment totaling $45, there was an item of cat grass that cost $6.64. This did not germinate and so I expected an easy experience getting that small amount back of all the hundreds of dollars I've spent on Petco's Repeat Delivery. WRONG!
First I was asked to submit a photo of the grass not growing. WITAF? Then when I refused this ridiculous request, Customer Service wanted to escalate my request for a refund to another team. Way WAY TOO MUCH WORK for a small amount requested.
I have never NEVER had this experience with Amazon the few times I have had to return something and Amazon's customer service went above and beyond at least once to help me out. With Petco, you are SOL, apparently.

So I ordered my pet's arthritis medication through Petco.com because the price is half the price of the vet HOWEVER with my pets first refill not only was I charged TWICE but I was told that they had to confirm the prescription with the vet. I argued because even the bottle showed 3 refills. Why would they need another order from the vet?! Even the vet called me asking why this company was requesting a refill when they gave refills on the original prescription. I was told that even though there were refills they still needed to verify the refills with the vet. This to me means that refills don't mean a thing to Petco. As far as the double charge, Petco said they only charged me once so I had to dispute the second charge for the prescription. Now here it is 2 months later and I saw that Petco is refilling my pets anti-inflammatory medication without the headache of requesting a refill from the vet. As I mentioned they already approved refills. Anyway, again I am double charged for 1 prescription. Apparently they charge when they begin the refill process and AGAIN when they mail the medication. This time Petco took down my information so hopefully I won't need to dispute through PayPal but honestly I don't have much faith. I'm definitely going to keep track and get my money back. This whole process has wasted so much of my time I had to review it with the world. Personally I'd rather pay more than work with Petco prescriptions in the future. I can't wait until I'm out of refills! Buyer beware!
I have enjoyed both saltwater n freshwater fish for years, since the 90's. 125 gallon tank. I have purchased 4 guppies, 2 Cory cats, n 1 dwarf light blue gourami. Purchased them 2/11/23. Day by day 5 have died suddenly. I will never purchase anything from this company in the furture. The help at the Kettering Ohio location is poor! It's sad for the fish n totally heartbreaking to put ur trust n faith in a company's live fish to turn around n put them in the trash hours to days after spending ur hard earned money. They also have a lot dead fish in several freshwater tanks. That puts the ammonia through the roof, which makes it very hard for the fish to get oxygen to properly breathe. I know how to properly care for my fish. I take pride n caring for them a the goal is to enjoy for years to come. I do a 25% water weekly! If u try to replace ur fish they always say it the customers quality of water so, the 30 day return policy is garbage! A company may burn me once, that's it! I will look for a pet store that takes pride, integrity and applies a touch of love sprinkled with a friendly hospitality to their customers that is their bread n butter. We purchased an aquarium as a Christmas present for my son, upon opening on Christmas we found it was damaged. The purchase date was in longer that 30 days ago, therefore they would not exchange it. There only solution was to purchase another, great sales pitch. Don't support these stores
I made an appt for my dog to just get a bath only. I get there they are trying to for add ins. I say no politely 5 times. The intake guy then goes to get her manager, she then tries to force add ons. I finally get pissed off. She is telling me that she can't bath my dog without the add on. I tell her to show me that in writing. She then walks it back & took my dog in. These are shady unlawful tactics to get extra money out of customers. I not the one. I'm going to corporate.
Booked the grooming appointment over the phone with no pet health questions asked. Upon arrival we were turned away because of health concerns. This is not the first time I have had to take my dog back home without service because the questions weren't asked at the time the appointment was booked. It is a poorly run operation and I do not recommend using their pet grooming services.
