I had the worst experience with Peoples Jewellers Online. I ordered a package expecting home delivery, but instead, it was misdirected to a random UPS Access Point without my consent. When I went to the store (Dollar 'N' Plus, ******* 64 Ave, Surrey, BC V3W 1Z1), they had no idea about my package!
Customer service provided misleading information, wasted my time, and offered no real solution. My package is now lost, and I have received zero accountability from Peoples Jewellers. This is completely unacceptable for a company handling valuable items.

I went to buy some jewellery for my wife as a wedding anniversary gift in #December2023 and one of their salesperson told me about that deal of 0% interest for #2years,i got that deal and buy more than $2500 jewellery for my wife but in january 2025 i got email from #flexiti (to whom they have contract for financing) that due to no payment you charged with interest of $ 1000
I was shocked 😲 and when i contact them they said you have 1 year contract instead of 2years,might be some typing mistake of salesperson so contact #PeoplesJewellers they will help you,i go to the #Peoplesjewellers store and they said contact with customer service,i call them and the lady listen my whole story and said we will help you it might be salesperson typing mistake,but after about half an hour of talking the customer service lady shut her mouth and didn't even listen to me neither end the call,so i call again #flexiti and they said only #PeoplesJewellers can help you as its their error,if they correct this mistake then you will pay at the promised date not before.so am like a hamster in a wheel.they didn't help me at all.
So save yourself and your hard earned money from #peoplesjewellers scam.

She helped me taking the correct choice of gift based on my relative's personality, age group, and character. Thalia is a very professional person who can definitely answer all your questions and fulfill your request. I highly recommend her.
Purchased a bracelet today, paid on visa, transaction was confirmed but the printer didn't work.
The manager then said it didn't go through even after the sales person verified it as well as myself showing the statement.
They told me to come back in a few days and it may show on their system. Missed anniversary dinner, dealing with this now for awhile.
Never go back, they are unorganized, unhelpful, will ruin your experience.
My husband bought me a family ring several years ago. One of the stones fell out and so the ring was catching on everything. I brought it in to get it repaired. It would cost me over $600! Apparently, the claws & stones are not covered under this warranty…like, really! I have told my husband to never purchase anything from Peoples Jewelers again. The warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. So I took my ring to a local gold smith in town, they will replace the emerald & fix the ring for $40. Granted it's not a real emerald, but I highly doubt that the original was a real emerald either. Especially since the ring was only $235 to start with. Shame on you people's, I will be sure to tell everyone I k ow not to deal with you
I am disappointed and will not be buying jewelry from this point forward from People's. Poor customer service with children's earrings. They charge 50$ for a replacement backing and do not fix broken jewelry unless you have purchased a warranty. The receipt and date of purchase should be considered especially when the items are purchased for young children.
Got a diamond engagement ring with some type of warranty for diamond.
Two diamonds fall out. I take it in and they tell because I did nor bring it for its yearly check not covered. So I pay to get diamonds replaced Ring sitting in my jewelry box for a year and two more diamonds are out.
Last service I had claws were inspected?

Sales agent says for 1500 purchase there is a equal payment for 24 months,after I finish choosing,it turn out only 12 months equal payments and they don't even accept the 50.00 coupon code and 100.00 code as well on using flexiti so this both company are partners in ripping off people please go somewhere else as long as not on this 2 company People Jewellers and flexiti card.

People's Jewellers Georgian mall, Barrie. Terrible service, left waiting, people being served who just got there when others were waiting. Staff wasn't interested in me when she found out my price range. She didn't stop to think about whether I would be a return customer later. I won't be. Went to Charmed diamond and the service was 100% better. Will definitely return to Charm. Peoples made me feel like they didn't want to wait on me. Not a problem they won't have to.
Went to People's Bramalea City Centre and wanted to buy a watch. Found it. At checkout I was asked for my phone number. I replied I do not give it out. The clerk replied - then I cannot sell you the watch! I said good bye then and left very upset! I called customer service and all the girl said was - we collect information on those who purchase!
I am totally never ever going to Peoples again!

People's advertised that they have affordable repair's. I brought a ring in that had a life time warranty which was voided because I didn't bring it in every 6 months I understood. So I asked to have it repaired anyways. After 2 weeks the estimate came back at $3100.00 + txs. I purchased the ring 20 years ago for $350.00 so I declined. I just brought it elsewhere will get it back in 4 days for $40.00.
Today was the first time I used their website for purchases. I found their site easy to navigate and they had a large amount of stock to pick from. It was great that I could enter what I was looking for in the search bar and it narrowed it down to exactly the type of jewelry I was looking for. They had fantastic photos and details and I was able to find just want I wanted very quickly. It was even on sale. Even check out was easy. No hidden cost. Everything was easy peasy! I will definitely go back to their site for more orders.
I was given a necklace for Christmas present. Only wearing it for 3 to 4 times the clasp broke. I have to pay 57.00 to get it repair because I don't have their insurance. I had jewelry repaired no matter when I bought it or if I don't have insurance. After going into the store in Metrotown Alex was no HELP. I WAS TOLD TO CALL 1 800 number which I was put on hold for hour and half. To find out they will do nothing. Hour and half that I will never get back. I will never purchase anything from People or People related companies. Worst ever. I just looked at other reviews and majority are bad to worst. I wish I had known than I could have saved my time and headache on hold. Do yourself a favor avoid People and their related companies. If I could I would not even put one star but there no choice.
I sent my wedding ring to be engraved and my engagement ring to be cleaned 5 weeks before my wedding. I was told it would take 3 weeks. After 3 weeks it still hadn't left their workshop so the store put a rush on it. It was shipped 3 days after my first call to the store. I called again on the 5 days later to see where it was and I was told it had been shipped and they would call me. I contacted them again 2 days after that and complained and finally they realized the shipment from their repair shop has been lost by UPS!
So 3 days out from my wedding and I don't have a ring. I will never get my engagement ring back and although they are rushing to replace the ring, I have not received any other form of compensation for the loss of such a special piece of jewelry. I was just fobbed off with a weak uncaring sorry.
I have learnt my lesson, I will never shop at Peoples Jewellers again and I recommend you don't either.
I ordered two rings for each of my daughter's with real ruby and garnet gemstones with diamonds in between. It took a very long time to arrive and they came separately about a month apart. My daughter then ordered me a matching ring with genuine stones. The stones were very differently coloured than the rings I ordered. Much paler.
4 months after receiving her ring, my daughter noticed the two diamonds were missing from her ring. I contacted People's and they refuse to fix it because they do not provide any type of warranty in this case. They said I would have to pay for any repairs myself.
The ring is obviously poorly made and the gem quality is questionable. The zero undisclosed warranty is a great disappointment and would normally have been an indicator of something not quite right.
I put in a man's necklace for repair, a very heavy weight gold that was purchased 41 years ago. The repair was shoddy workmanship, I was not happy and returned to be fixed. Now People's Jewellers trying to give me a light weight necklace that is same style but weight of Gold is less. This is fraudulent and they say because I do not have original paperwork showing weight that they can do nothing. How can a jewellery store get away with this. We have purchased many items over the past 41 years from People's but we will not again. I asked customer service to have their management look into but they are doing nothing to investigate. Beware and insist your Gold is weighed before you hand it over to this company.
People's Jewellers in Guelph are a pathetic organization which has absolutely no concern for its reputation. When you read the reviews on this site, it is easy to understand why. My partner's earrings fell apart after 3 months of light usage and the store's response was — too bad. They apparently have no capacity to make repairs in Ontario as the earrings were sent to BC. A very minor repair on 1 hoop cost $150. Aside from the cost, they failed to contact us twice and told my wife to wait until they contacted her. She insisted that they check to see if they were back from repair and finally agreed to look. Guess what — they were there. This is a dysfunctional business — stay away. Please!
This watch was a Christmas gift, bought because it's advertised as a diamond watch. Went to 2 different Peoples and both stores said they are not diamonds, testing as sapphires! I called head office, spoke to customer service, said a specialist would call me. Been nearly 2 weeks and after chatting to inquire another time, still no response. This is terrible service and for a retailer who prides themselves on superior quality and integrity and perhaps false advertising... be cautious.
I love their jewelry but... 99% of the time when I shop there the service is honestly dreadful. The people working there are always super pushy (I get that they work commission but they're often rude and far from being polite). I've never gone in and felt like the staff were nice or that I had a great experience with them. Really a shame because I would rather spend my time and money elsewhere with staff who are kind and respectful to their customers.
Made a purchase online, they didn't send a confirmation email after but they charged my visa immediately and it was not a "pending charge" it posted immediate, trying to follow up with them is a nightmare they have know acknowledgment of the order being placed but somehow charged my visa. The process for reversing this with them is ridiculous, I feel sorry for anyone who has to go down this road to get your money back from them specially at Christmas.
Answer: It's safe as in a legit retailer but trying to get your money back out of them after they charge your card without consent is a nightmare.
