Terrible Experience! On 12th October 2025.
Candidate ID: a9WRf*******fnMAA First on this is not a way to treat salesforce professional that are working hard to stay relevant in the industry by spending time and investing money to pass certification exam! I have logged 30 minutes before today's exam. I have done all the checking requirements.
1- Selfie
2- Photo of ID (back and forth)
3- Photo of my desk space (right, left, behind, in front) in which I will take my exam -> Then a first call from an agent (a lady) came asking me to "remove all my items on the desk (a cup, some salesforce goodies) »
After that he asked me to go a second time through the verification phase with all the photos (right, left, behind, in front) of my desk to confirm I had made the cleaning. After I did, nothing for 10 mins. No explanation, no messages, no news! While I was already stressing out with the exam, this did not help at all to stay focus. So I started to speak in the recorded camera, until another proctor (a guy) got in touch with me.
Telling me this. « I had also to clean the row below my desk space (like folders and other working items) » I told him I had all my stuff was in that row as its my working office (folders, files, and that I cannot access to them anyway during the exam). He pressured me into doing it saying he will revoke me from the exam (the first threat). So I removed all my space in another room (please see below the image). This became so stressing and made me totally unfocus to the actual exam. But THIS IS NOT IT.
I did it follow all the instructions, BUT the proctor came back to me with this "There are many people walking behind you".
I explained to him that the "many people" is just my wife, that we had a little space in the appartement and the bathroom door was behind my office desk. I asked about the possibility that she might come once during the exam to do her needs. He concluded that I should let he know to not come during the exam during. I SAID OK! Meanwhile he started the exam but I have not started it myself. So, I went to my wife in her room to say what proctor told me « Don't come nearby even if you have a need for the bathroom ». When I came back and sat, I accepted the last exam conditions then started to answer the first questions. I then received this message « Please excuse the interruption, but I observed you leaving the testing space. This action violates our OnVUE testing policies. Unfortunately, I must revoke your exam session. The following case has been created to document this situation: *******. » WHAT EXACTLY IS THE POINT mistreated your actual customers like this? I have prepared hard for this exam. The conditions were tough, and more to that, I have respected every rule and every conditions and this is what actually made me kicked out of the exam. I paid for the exam, I should not be treated this way. I have blocked a Sunday morning to pass the exam, I have prepared for weeks. ALL FOR NOTHING? To be kicked out like a total bug.
Terrible Experience. I was kicked out of my online exam for leaving my desk. The issue is that I never left my screen. I was given a warning by the proctor, I replied that I did not leave my desk and didn't know what they were talking about. He then cleared the pop up message and I assumed he just made a mistake/clicked the wrong button. 10 minutes later into the exam I was booted. I called for an explanation and the rep said the proctor did not leave a reason. I paid a babysitter $200 to watch my 3 kids. I begged them to watch my recording and reinstate the exam. The answer: it takes 5 business days to review and I will get an email. I can't get over how bizarre this all was. I hate to bring race up, but I'm not sure what other reason a proctor just boots someone for something they didn't do and doesn't leave a detailed account for why he did, just left the reason blank.
How this testing is fair is beyond me. I have had great customer service but I don't know why the Fire Service switched to a 3rd party testing site. Someone has to be getting a kick back because this just doesn't make any sense. The test questions are beyond unfair and inconsistent with what you're being taught in class. But sure, let me pay another $60 to retest.
I am extremely disappointed with the way Pearson VUE handled my exam. Due to a technical issue on your side, my exam was cancelled and I was simply told to reschedule it for another time — as if my time and effort were irrelevant. This response was completely unempathetic and unprofessional. There was no accountability, no real support, and no recognition of the stress and disruption this caused. The lack of basic human decency and concern for candidates is alarming, especially for a company that plays such a critical role in people's careers. You don't just lack technical reliability — you lack human values.
Foreign customer service reps have no idea how to access your account and no clue how to answer simple questions. On hold for a hour and they could not locate my account on a course I had taken the day before. (Documented below). After over one hour I asked for them to cancel the charge on my card and I would start over with another company. They said they would need to have a committee investigate this. I told them to forget it and I would deal with it through the credit card company. THIS WAS A PATHETIC EXAMPLE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! Pearson Vue should be ashamed.
I strongly recommend not ever using this horrible service. You're better off driving 2 hours to a testing service. Pearson VUE's business essentially owns the monopoly of taking exams online— you have no other choices. And that's why they can get away with this disastrous quality. Waste of time and money.
FRAUD ALERT! They are con artists, and not a reputable company. They perform illegally. They charged me $50 for an online exam, to find out minutes later that they don't administer that exam. They will not issue a refund.
I signed up for a National counselors exam and was ready to start at my sign in time. Went through every step and by the last step, it wouldn't let me move forward on my computer because it said there was an application running that I needed to shut off.
It was not obvious what I had to turn off nor did Pearson provide guidance on how to do so. SO I missed my sign in time. When I was fully prepared and ready to go, not to mention have small children and cannot easily find the time to sit for a long exam.
I looked online after I missed my time to see if I could find an answer and found through Reddit, other people who had gone through the same thing and found a solution.
I "re-scheduled" my exam time about an hour later to try again, Pearson CHARGED ME $50 for this. When they were the ones that created a barrier for me to test.
I tried to call to get my money back and they refuse.
They keep you on hold and don't give a $#*! about people. The reps don't talk clear english either! Don't use them if you can avoid it!
Horrible horrible customer service. So I took an exam and my computer glitched and my screen turned off and that directed to my exam being accidentally submitted and I talked to the lady in the front desk for help and she gave me Pearson's customer service number and I called so they wouldn't count the test against me and they said they can't do anything about it and now I can't take my exam again when I get one more try. Which I find it not fair since I had to pay 225 for 5 exams including the exam that was counted against me. They just steal your money and don't help you at all because when I called and asked for a supervisor they told me they can't only create a case and that I can't take the exam that counted against me. That's their answer to all problems "a case" and then tell you that they can't do anything about it. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
If it were possible to issue a score less than one star, I would. I believe there should be an option for negative stars. I would give them a -5 in terms of customer service, issue knowledge, professionalism, etc. The CISSP certification was high on my list of priorities until this experience.
The customer service representatives were incredibly rude and refused to assist me. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, they placed me on hold repeatedly, often for 3 to 5 minutes at a time and frequently throughout the call. On each call, I was placed on hold at least four times.
I have never been more disappointed or dissatisfied with any service, regardless of the location of the call center. This behavior seemed purposefully rude and disrespectful. I am so frustrated that I would consider taking legal action.
I was to take my WI REL and was turned down at the test site because I came with a renewed MN Li they would not accept. They said call Pearsonvue, it took me an hour just to find their phone number, it's not under contact info... Innefficient website. And they could not help because they neglected to send me an introductoiry email when I sigend up for the class to begin with that supposedly had a registration # on it that you need to resolve any conflicts. My only solace was that the guy named Bruce was sort of empathitic but did not have the authority to assist in the problem, he just started a case#. Figures because their website is not helpful. I'll see how long they take to resolve my problem. I want a refund. I wish there were other companies to take the Real Estate testing.
I took Pearson Academic English exam at Reston VA location on November 26,2024.
After I took the test, I realized that Pearson has a very bad reputation and are known for not providing accurate results. Below are the links of many dissatisfied customers. I believe Pearson Vue scoring is inaccurate. I have a Master's degree, English is my native language, and I am a speaker at conferences and speak very well and my speaking score was very low, when I spoke very clearly on the test. Also, I was in a room where others were speaking and what if other's voices was recorded as part of my score, which I believe what happened. I want a a refund. I was not aware that I would take a test in the same room with many other test takers at the same time, where others were speaking at the same time. I was next to someone else who was speaking and their answers could have been recorded on my test. If I had been told this, I would have never purchased this exam. I had always had taken tests or had tests proctored in which I was in an individual room by myself. Also, the others speaking detracted from the experience and I feel that this was not an accurate test yielding accurate results and they were not upfront with the expectations of taking the tests with others. I want a refund.
Why wouldn't someone get a chance to reschedule without having to pay another fee if an emergency just happened close to the appointment time. Here I am ready two hours before my time my car won't start. I called the center to see if they can move up my time on that day I was told no. Even though I was trying to get a uber I wouldn't make it on time. I was told I have to do the process with Pearson vue to be able to reschedule the exam. Here I am out of $200.00. I know they have a 24 hour policy. How would I know my car wouldn't start at that very moment. 🤔🥲😞
My license has a tiny little bent part on the corner. Since my license is damaged they said I forfeited a refund or a reschedule when they wouldn't let me take the test. Not to mention I left that same night to go get a temp license so I could take it the next day. Never in my life have a dealt with a business that straight up steals from their clients. Still not able to get a reschedule or refund because I read the policy on "damaged licenses". Crazy!
They refused a government issued ID then promptly refused to give a refund or reschedule. It's simply a scam. Forced to use them by my college.
Pearson VUE is absolutely the worst company I've ever had to deal with! I tried to take an exam remotely through them - I was charged $150 - and the exam software NEVER connected and time expired and the testing system marked me as a no-show. I tried for 2 days to get through to them but was on hold for over an hour each time. So, I put a stop payment on the $150 through my bank. I called PV a few weeks later because they locked my account and I couldn't get in to retake the exam. I spoke with multiple people at PV and was told I have to pay them the $150 for the uncompleted exam and if I want to take it again to pay another $150. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE! TAKE YOUR ORGANIZATIONS BUSINESS TO ANOTHER EXAM PROVIDER - ORGANIZATIONS LIKE COMP TIA OFFER THEIR OWN CERTIFICATES. I will be petitioning Apple, Microsoft and other companies to move away from Pearson VUE and either find a different provider or to start offering their own testing/certification. The 1 star reviews here (thousands of them) are absolutely correct!
I was required by my employer to take a PA Notary Public exam as it would be beneficial in my line of work. I took the 3 hour long course, filled out the application, got approved and was set to take the exam. The first time I tried to take the exam, a portion of their proctored website to ensure honesty and no cheating failed. I was stuck on the same screen for an hour. I finally tried on my work desktop computer and it worked. I was ready to take the exam. The day came and I began my check in and had to take 45 minutes out of my work day to be held in a waiting room until the proctor finally got to me. I was required to take pictures of my testing space and send them in. Then the proctor, who was extremely rude and unprofessional asked me to lift up my desktop computer to show her my space. I couldn't do this as my computer was hardwired to the desktop and also 25 lbs. So she KICKED ME OUT OF THE EXAM I PAID FOR. Despite this, I rescheduled my exam and again, the day of the exam, the same website failed; I tried on 3 different computers and I was unable to take my exam because of their lack of a functioning platform. Customer service was unhelpful as they just show niceties like I'm sorry for the inconvenience. And guess what, I'm no closer to being a notary public thanks to Pearson VUE. DO NOT TAKE AN EXAM THROUGH THEM. They have some serious issues to get worked out there.
I am extremely disappointed with the abysmal customer service provided by Pearson VUE. Over the past two weeks, I have called their support line four times to address an issue with rescheduling my AWS SysOps Administrator Certification exam. Each time, I explained the problem in detail, only to be met with incompetence and frustration.
The first associate I spoke with was completely unhelpful, so I requested to speak with a supervisor. Unfortunately, the supervisor was even worse—he tried to deceive me rather than assist me. After escalating the issue once more and spending an hour on the phone with another higher-up, I was promised that my exam would be rescheduled. However, after putting me on hold for some time, he disconnected the call without resolving anything.
The root of the problem was clearly with the Pearson VUE platform, which failed to properly process my rescheduling request. Instead of taking ownership of the issue, their support team blamed the website and dismissed my concerns, despite the fact that I scheduled and rescheduled my exam through their portal. In Canada, we don't have the option to use PSI, so we are stuck with Pearson VUE's inept services.
Shame on you, Pearson VUE, for your scam-like behavior and lack of accountability. Your customer service is a disgrace
Poor user experience with registration GUI. Example: Allowed me to pick a date over 90 days away, and only after I submitted form, told me that I had to choose a date less than 90 days away and sent me back to the beginning to fill out all fields again. Also, poor user experience with system test: several lines of code appeared across the top of the page in the OnVue application above the system test instructions.
