So I already have places that I purchase from, but I'm looking for a good, cheap, Jewelry making supplies vendor and after cruising the internet I stumbled on PandaHall - I'm finding the prices amazeballs! I decided to come here before I went through any exhausting and pain staking time to figure out exactly what I want and quantities. (I'm not a rookie shopper! Lol) Now I'm curious - the 4 and 5 star ratings make this company seem fabulous! While the other reviews make me want to run away like it's on fire. So which is it? I'm wondering if these glorious reviews are real. I doubt that the horrible reviews are fake, because when you've been ripped off - the kind thing to do is to warn others. I think I'll stay away for now, unless someone can drastically change my mind. Cheers to this website! It has saved me from making big mistakes on several occasions.

I find the shipping very slow, but then again I place huge orders. I've been buying my supplies from them for a long time now, and the prices of many of their items are very low which is great but you really get what you pay for. I buy very inexpensive things from them and they often break. Other than that, I really like the website because of the huge variety and inexpensive items. If you need items and are in a rush, order a month in advance to make sure you get your supplies on time. And keep in mind that the cost of the item really reflects on it's overall quality.

Cool products. Nice customer service. I did notice that a lot of the reviews are from a few months back. Well a lot has changed and I am definitely glad I gave this beads shop a go. I love crafting like most beaders and making bracelets I just needed to be able to do it on a budget. I get the beads for cheap and make beautiful bracelets and sell them to friends and family. I do wish there was more to choose from though. 4 stars for sure.

I'm used to mangano calcite beads being uv reactive. These were not. In photo, mangano calcite beads at left were mine from another vendor. The ones on the right are the ones from PanadaHall, and only glow as white would under black light. They should be dark coral.
I contacted customer service and shared my concerns. They basically gave me the runaround, asking for proof, which I provided, and then asked again. They just insisted that they are pink mangano calcite beads. It IS possible that they are calcite, but of such low quality that they don't glow. Either way, they weren't a good product, they didn't refund my money and didn't care.

I am updating my previous review of a couple of years back. Customer service seem a bit easier to deal with now regarding faulty products and I feel that they do handle complaints in a more professional manner than before. But processing/packing times are STILL usually much longer than they claim on the website (or in their replies here). I also notice when I compare prices to last years orders that prices have increased drastically for a lot of items (some as much as 40-60% more expensive in just a year). So even when they offer a 'Sale' or 'Free shipping' you are still paying a lot more in total than you would have a year or so ago.
For that reason it is important to demand quality and complain if products are not perfect. Some of the factories they use produce very good quality products, while some factories allow broken or poor quality products leave the factory and be shipped to customers. I have received facetted glass beads where half the beads on each strand were broken or chipped. I paid $16 for 5 strands (+shipping +import taxes). So not in any way 'cheap'. Panda Hall claim they were damaged in transit, but if that is true then the broken/chipped pieces would be in the bag with the beads. Quite simply some factories are knowingly threading faulty beads on the strands and selling them. So quality control needs to be improved greatly - and random checks are needed on what certain factories are producing. Perhaps now that prices have gone up so much they can use these profits for this purpose.

The orders arrive in the expected time scale and the packaging is really good, plenty of protective bubble wrap. I have never received a package damaged in transit, which is amazing considering they come half way round the world!
