Having experience in drywall repair I felt confident in my ability to do this. I had a plastic bumper with scratches. I sanded them using various grits until smooth. Definite key was taking my time adding more coats checking my work not rushing anything. I feel I could have used a little bit more of all the products. I wasn't really sure of the coverage amounts. But all in all I'm happy with the results.
