I took the canine studies level 3 course and I am in Lisbon. I work in a kennel and I wanted to add a qualification to the work i was already doing. The tutor support was excellent and helped me with parts of the course that i didnt understand too well and gave me lots of help and pointers.
I have never done a distance course before so this was a big step that i think has really helped me think i can achieve much more.
The materials are interesting and make you want to learn more. A big thank you for all the confidence i have.
Had a few students who were very hard workers who I enjoyed working with, then there was some who weren't that good. But as we had a good tutor, he was good at engaging them and they still passed the course. I passed without too much effort and can say the tutor we had was great. The course material was good and in my opinion the course in general was good value.
My Level 3 course, which I have just finished was superb. I have always been interested in diet and health and my level 3 course enabled me to shape my thoughts, and also think about a career in something i love.
I enjoyed the course materials, each part adding more knowledge. I am now enolled on a Btec hnd with them which in level 3 and 4 and am absolutley going for it. A= for all aspects.
I have just successfully completed my Diploma in Archaeology with Oxford College. The course was very interesting, my tutor was tremendously helpful and the student services were polite and efficient. I would highly recommend Oxford College's Archaeology Diploma to anyone who would like to study Archaeology.
I enrolled on a BTEC HND course in Health, Diet & Nutrition with Oxford College in September. The course materials are excellent, as is my tutor, and their student service team are extremely helpful. I couldnt recommend this course more highly to any student looking for a career in nutrition.
A great experience. All at the college are to be commended. From enrolment to my certificate I was supported, coached and mentored.
I think the process of distance learning is underratted.
Thanks to all, and I'll beback to study at a higher level
I really loved my course. It waS SO INTERESTING. I always wanted to learn more about feline studies, and this course gace me structure to my interest.
The course marerials were detailed and helpful and prepare you for the fibnal exam, which was hard but luckily i massed with merit.
I would give an A plus rating
Overall I enjoyed the course and learnt a lot about the subject however I feel that the final multiple choice examination was not an accurate test of the course content. Had I not studied AS level biology last year I would have struggled to answer several of the questions. I found the SAP's very beneficial and I would suggest that in addition to these, perhaps a multiple choice examination (or other) at the end of each module would be a more accurate test of knowledge learnt throughout the course.
That being said, it was a fantastic course, useful support and always knew someone was available. To have passed, I have achieved an ambition I have held for many years. I look forward to branching out on my own, learned a huge amount and response to course work very prompt highly recommend to anyone that wants to also get into diet and nutrition.
Thanks for everything - I completed the course with an overall grade in Distinction
I will probably be back in the near future to either further my study or learn something related.
I really enjoyed doing this course, the teachers where there to help me and got back to me straight away. All work marked quickly
The material given online was good quality, easy to read and easy to put into action (for my course at least).
I decided to undertake a Dementia Care course as my Mother In Law has Dementia and I wanted to learn more about it and how I respond to her and help not only her but myself and other members of the family to understand Dementia - this course was brilliant; it answered all of my questions and more and I feel very pleased to have passed this exam and with distinction. The course covered everything and I especially liked the units of how to Understand Dementia and the Role of the care worker which is very important to me and my family so that I know the residential dementia home she has gone too are doing things right for all the dementia patients that are there.
I believe the answer to the question should be solved easily for a student like me. Nice experience. Highly experience.
The job of the course is brilliant. A good variety of courses for everyone is available. I'd highly recommend it.
Fell asleep a few times, but who doesnt!? Teachers were nice, helped me when I needed it and gave me praise when I were getting good grades. I felt appreciated so worth 5 stars.
Completed my exam and got a pass with distinction. It is great to be able to study at your own pace and whenever you want.
Mathematics is my life and I send the majority of my life studying the subject. After completing my GCSE in Maths and scoring a grade B, I decided Mathematics is a subject that I really enjoy undertaking and at A Level, it has to be a subject that you have a real interested in and with this comes the motivation to undertake the coursework and assessments on your own initiative. I have nearly completed my AS Maths and will shortly moving onto my A2 in Maths. I am also going to be studying an A Level in Further Maths so that next year, I will returning to University to undertake a BSc Mathematics Degree course.
Distance learning suits me at present, as I can work and undertake all of the aspects of my course, on my own initiative. As I have a passion for Maths, it will be easier for me to undertake my A Level in Maths distance learning as, as well as being able to work alone, I also make use of all the tutorials available on websites, to enhance my knowledge of Mathematics.
If you have done very well at GCSE Maths and you have a passion for this subject and can work, or prefer to work on your own initiative and you are confident in your abilities in Maths; then distance learning will be a good option for you. There is support from the tutors if you really need it. The Fast Track A Level Maths distance learning course with Oxford College is an excellent course and it is well worth undertaking
It was a really good course and i enjoyed it, one thing i found a bit confusing is extra topics. Overall I would still recommend it.
I did the course on schedule and I have nothing bad to say about the way the course was done really.
Ok- This is a very dopey company. It seems as tho they are asleep.
They do not update the website so the courses that are outdated or have been withdrawn are still being advertised as being available to study.
I enrolled on one of their 'withdrawn' courses which they were not aware of because after paying the fee/enrollment process, I did not receive the course login details for over a week which I thought was odd considering the course took place online so I queried them about it and the customer rep said, 'still waiting for exam board confirmation'. So i waited another week and still nothing so I sent them another email and this time response was 'we are currently looking into this and will get back asap'. And still nothing so I requested for a refund because I got fed up of the slow responses and rightly so. And then it wasn't until almost a month into my enrollment they sent me an email informing me that the course had been withdrawn and recommended me an alternative course which I'm not obliged to switch to.
This course was not available to study, it had been withdrawn and yet it was still advertised on their website which led me to enrol with them in the first place. Had this course been available to study, I would have been a month into the course instead I spent a month chasing this refund which they do not plan to refund in full (minus 20quid 'cancellation fee') but i will lodge a complaint.
What does this tell us? As course providers, it is their responsibility to keep up to date with the courses' specification such as course availability in my case, and update their website which they do not do. Hence they have wasted a over a month of my time.
Avoid at ALL costs.
A fantastic course which I have enjoyed thoroughly. Well done to the team and thanks for all your hard efforts.
