I've never encountered such terrible matches on any site. My real complaint is that I specifically asked to NOT be on an auto-renew for my membership. I even canceled it before it could be renewed. Sure enough, they billed me for another $71.88! Of course, it also took 14 days to get returned to my checking account, this causing me to Have an ODC. I made them aware of this over 2 weeks earlier when they charged me without my permission. I have the $71.88 but have not been given back the $34. ODC although I sent them a copy of it from my bank, showing that their actions caused it. What a terrible situation and headache to go through. DO not do business with them!
My profile was automatically shown on match.com, which I was not at all aware of. Met people who had never heard of ourtime.com, and I believed they were members of ourtime.com. Weird. After I had finished my subscription they claimed that I had activated it again. Without any proof for that, they just took money from my credit card again. Not trustworthy!
I have used the site off and on. Women don't respond to flirts or likes very often. I've talked to a few of them and they say it's exhausting for them to keeo up with so many men. Seems like very difficult odds for a man.
100% useless -----sent me dating messages from all over the country even though I specified 25 miles radius. The matches they sent me I wouldn't match to my dog. No offense to anyone's dog. There is no way to communicate to anyone at Our Time to get things fixed ----I still had 3 weeks left in my membership but opted out anyway. Our Time sucks.
I paid for a membership in this site and was automatically terminated with no reason given other than "for the good of the community." If I wanted to find out what the reason was I would have to go through a legal process. I asked for a return of my payment and they said they have a no refund policy. So, they kept my money even though it was their decision, not mine. I contacted the Dallas, TX BBB and they recently informed me that they got no response from their inquiry. Do not get involved with this site.
Fraud, fake account profile picture changed to ugly hag. Do not waste time and money. Cannot get refund. Then they are trolling me saying ladies sent me a message and when I look they say HEY RAY, MEET ANITA or whoever I thought I was conversing with and show me a picture of myself. Now if that is not low down. Stay away.
If I could rate this site any lower, I would. Money hungry site that informs you of the messages, flirts, likes, etc that you receive. But to even view them, you have to pay more than $20 bucks for just a months membership. They will not let you post on your profile other means of contacting you. You cannot even say that you aren't PAYING FOR THE SITE... they will not approve. How ridiculous? You can't even say that... along with many other things. There is nothing good about the site and you can see why it is no where near as successful as others like okcupid and adultfriendfinder. I would not suggest even glancing at a site as arrogant and thieving as Ourtime.com.
Stay away from it.
I have contacted over 20 profiles, I find it really strange that out of 20 only 2 have responded. Some of these it's been over a month and not a word from anyone yet. I called OurTime to see why, and of course they do a song and dance trying to tell me that not all profiles are online all the time. But I was told that I should just go with the men that have contacted me and move on. This isn't what I paid for! I should be able to contact any profile to get a response. I even paid extra to be notified when one person was on line and I received a notice that he was. But when I checked he wasn't. So I'm wondering if its a real person or not? What can a person do, dummy profiles are not what I paid for.
They act like its a top secret site and often ask for 3 different forms of verification. Then you can give them either an email address or your phone number for them to text your code to get in, after you have already joined that is. Well I don't have my phone stuck to my side or with me always and when I indicate for them to send the CODE to my email address. However, it never gets sent there. When contacting them about it, they don't speak enough English or understand the issue, which THEY SET UP. Goodbye and Good Riddance..
I switched from OKC because I wanted to date guys over 50 and thought that having to pay might make the experience better.
The pictures are tiny and the questions are inane. Is this the best that dating sites can do?
Actually the guys are not so bad, perhaps because they don't ask many questions.
These dating sites are all the same. Ourtime is no different. They prey on money, while taking advantage of senior citizens looking for Love. You might think there are less scammers, NO, there are many, many, many. The only thing they understand is more money, they could care less about you or assisting you. Face it, you are rolling the dice on any online dating site. You have to wise up and go to meetup groups, but even they have unsavory characters. This world is not the one we grew up in. Just keep that in mind no matter whether you are being lied to online or in person. You may likely end up robbed or worse. Bottom line., you cant trust anyone anymore, not even those you live with.
I joined our time on or around January 2,2021. At first, it seemed alright, some of the men seem like good people. The problem that I have is with the website. The more that I preferred a particular race, the more the top of my profile page website pushed the race that was not my choice. Also, too many ads on my page. They seem like they want to pick the person for you. Finally, on January 16,2021, ended my subscription and have not been on the site since. Someone who is behind the scene of this site is pushing for members to stick with their own race. What race a member chooses is their business. I would not recommend this site to anybody.
Horrible experience on this site. Talk about rejection. I'd get regular emails from the company warning me of fraudulent people that had contacted me. I'm thinking this was a safe site and these men were on the up and up. This was very alarming. Do not sign up for this!
I could have taken the 108.00 and went on a date by myself. I was on the site for 6 months, in that time I had 2 successful dates. You need to screen, your applicants more better. I've had perverts, men looking for a one night stand /booty call. When if they had read my profile they would have seen, that was not what I was looking for. Pictures that were not what they really looked like, I have met some very good liars on your site. I consider the time on the site, a waste of my time.
Well firstly you have to pay by American dollars even though the site is Canadian for Canadians.
The IM feature just sucks because it never worked for me ever when I wanted to IM someone and after paying over $100.00 us dollars you would think someone would help, well no one helped and I can honestly say this site is piss poor.
I'm a 65 year old guy... very active... walk a lot of rounds of golf. I keep fit. I joined OT and immediately got deluged by sweet young things who 'faved' me... 30-ish types. Really? And they all had gorgeous pics. Uh huh! I have met 3 ladies for lunch as a first meeting. They ALL describe themselves as 'athletic and toned.' Not so much. One of them told me to be very careful because some people weren't totally truthful with their profiles. No kidding... SHE identified herself as 5 years younger. I won't renew my membership. My chances of meeting a very cool lady are better at the local Publix! Besides, if I win the lottery, they'll find me.

I've certainly met a number of women on the sight in a relatively short period of time... With that said, there are numerous factors that make this site frustrating as heck! There is a steady stream of scammers that deluge your profile [10-20 a day], I make sure I mark them as 'scammers' and block them; it's an easy enough task... The website is very clunky and doesn't refresh itself... The ap has a few nice features, but by today's standard is poorly developed...
I too had issues with their billing, they billed me $107 / 3 months when all i wanted was one monthh... credit card complany hooked me up with OT's customer service and they were quick to correct it [there is an extra $3.95 fee when you sign up].
I don't think I'll go past my one month, but beware, the pay system auto-update and you'll need to contact them to cancel payment!
I went on OurTime for one month, just to check it out and ended up entertaining myself by catching the scammers. Not even inventive, but outright stealing pictures off the internet of someone else. I finished the month out searching the pictures and then once I found the real owner of the face, I responded to the email as if I was a friend of the person. Within minutes, without fail, the profile picture was changed.
Made me feel real icky about the whole thing. I am utterly surprised how many men don't know how to write, smile, shave or take a selfie. I refuse to believe that my generation of men took so little care of themselves.
It's bad enough that people put a picture that is 2 or 3 years old, but some don't even try. My favorite line that I ran into on someone's profile was: "If you don't look like your picture, you're paying for dinner until you do."
This site stinks you cant peek at a profile without munipulation, 2 years and no dates. Yes im pickey and thats my god given right. Ladies your body is a temple take care of it! This goes for all! EXERCISE...
Yes, the usual suspects of a scamming site: Fake profiles, ghost profiles, "views" (so what?) from people absolutely miles away from your designated distance parameters. Every woman seemed to have a Masters Degree in somthing but hey looked like they may well be a university cleaner, not a post-graduate! They all seem to like the bloody theatre, do me a favour! I recognised some faces from another site ( actually worse than this one can you believe!) from about five years' ago; do you really think they'd still be members? No, neither do I. Avoid and accept that 'you've been had' and delete it from you computer and wish it good riddance!
Answer: Not sure what you mean by the shaded areas. But never mind, I agree with Alex H, don't get involved with them, they are just after your money. The reply rate is extremely low and the site is full of fake profiles. You will just lose your time with it ( like I did and I regret it). It's important to find a legit site, the site that should suit you best and I found mine: https://j4l.com/402007 It's 100% legit and valid and they don't resort to bots and fakes. I met my girlfriend through them so I know it's a working site!
Answer: They are charging me and I cannot get on this site, I want a refund as I have not been able to use this site,
