Ive always found this review site very helpful for deciding which sites to try and which to avoid. After I read a lot of good reviews here regarding Primetimelove.com last year I joined it and really love that site. So this time I thought Id check out OurTime after seeing some good things again here about it. Im disappointed to say my experience hasnt been quite as positive as with primetimelove, but it was good to try two sites at the same time to see if that lead to more dates. Ill probably be dropping ourtime now, but its a good back up and I believe its made by the people at match, so you know its reputable. But for me, I just didnt get enough replies to justify the cost.
I used OurTime and PrimeTimeLove on and off for around a year and met my partner online. I no longer use such sites as were in a serious relationship but I would really say for anyone who is thinking of trying online dating that this is a good place to start. Avoid the generic sites and go with an over 50s brand, people are far more genuine and trustworthy, in my opinion. Plus at our age we know what we want and we know how to spot what we dont want. Use your experience and be open to new experiences, thats my advice. Im pleased it worked for me and I hope youll find happiness too. Best of luck.
Provide totally unsuitable profiles to consider, most mire than 100 miles from where I live. Awful, disgusting men sending vile messages, and a scammer who has obviously been on the site for a long time because he wasn't vetted properly. Didn't succeed in scamming me though, I was too clever for him. I reported him and apparently he was removed but I wonder if he really is gone.
This site doesn't host anything that remotely resembles high quality photos. It also doesn't allow their members to edit the photos they post. All of that is absurd, given the role that photos play in the dating process. Hey, at least they save server space, and apparently that's all that matters. In fact, the entire website is low definition, meaning the visual user experience is terrible for anyone with a remotely decent screen/monitor.
Regrettably, the misery doesn't end there. There's no "customer service" to contact and the members are dumpy. Auto renewal (to charge to a credit card) is the default setting. Uncheck it, and you'll be bombarded with a pop-up encouraging you to renew.
Websites such as this shouldn't even be legal.
Our time seems to be a scam. When I go to the site I just get a message to provide identification. I sincerely thought I had paid for a subscription. If I had not, this is my fault. I have wasted a lot of time trying to do so. I am sure the ladies who have signed up did it honestly trying too meet partners. I have found some success with other sites. John V Payne, Berea, KY
I was sent a promotion payment, then sent another bill for a higher price and then another price for renewal. No way to able change renewal as account has locked me out. So many scammers. After a couple of weeks they stopped sending promotion. Still can't access my account. My computer keeps telling me it is full of viruses and scammers. Don't recommend this site.
I have a paid subscription to this dating site. One of the feature is "Likes." This means a member can send you a "Like" to indicate interest and vice versa. I have replied to some of the "Likes" I've received but I never receive a reply. This makes me think that these "Likes" are fake and generated by the dating site.
I get very few responses from any member I try to contact. The responses I do get immediately ask me for my email address and phone number. I also keep getting billed even after I have cancelled my subscription.
Where do I start? The recommended matches live out of my state, are just plain creepy, are scammers, many word for word repeat profiles. Lots of pictures of bare-chested men. So sorry I wasted my money!
Site doesn't even have a competent two-factor authentication...Keep getting a verifircation code that doesn't even work to get me into the site. This site along with silver singles, I cannot recommend...Spend your money on a different site.
Out off all the matches they sent, not one was a compatible match for me. They also kept sending women for some reason. I requested more than once to not send anymore women. They kept sending young men. I'm not young and want to retire soon. I don't want to wait 20 years for someone to be ready to retire. Save you $$$$. Don't do it.
Costumer service is non existent. I tried using a prepaid visa, they accepted it for 30 minutes and then booted me out saying they dint accept prepaid cards and they dint refund my credit card, so they are a bunch of thieves. Beware of this site. Philippe
I paid for 3months of service and for a week I have tried to log into the site to view my matches, but nothing happens.
To proceed, a screen appears asking you to verify your identity. When the blue button is clicked, nothing happens, so it is impossible to log on.
I have sent 2 emails telling them of the problem and asking for a refund, but have received no reply. Avoid this site at all costs!
This is absolutely the worst site I have ever been on. The women on this site may be beautiful but they are just as full of crap as a site itself. I'm sure there are good women on this site but I've yet to meet one lot of game playing going on here a lot of dishonesty. I was on here 2 years ago I thought I'd give it another try worst decision I've ever made. Beware of this site it is very deceiving good luck on finding whoever you're looking for but do it on another site. Once again absolutely the worst site I have ever been on or seen
Constant spamming hitting you as soon as you log in. Profiles are fake. Anyone who puts a number in their photo is a FAKE and will try string you along for a week telling you beautiful or handsome you are God put you together before they hit you up to buy a plane ticket that they can get a refund for. Or tell some story about needing money for a sick relative.
Ourtime uses models to lure men in. I had an subscription with ourtime that I hardly ever use because there are no one of interest, one day I had 4 alerts on my email that someone is interested in me, so I clicked on the message and it took me into there site and showed me this beautiful lady, I was like wow she is beautiful so I responded and with that she was gone from the site and my subscription was renewed. It's a scam that Match. Com use as well.
Men and women stay away from these sites they are using models and spyware to steal our hard earned money and don't care about us, that was the last $29.95 at that time and they left my account in the negative. They don't care so please don't use their sites. If you take sometime and read these reviews you will see similar things have happened to others all over, let our money be the last ones that they steal. Don't use ourtime!
I am so frustrated with the fake profiles. I was looking at reviews to see if I am right. APPARENTLY, I AM.
WOW... even Plenty of Fish that is FREE... I never had that happen. There is a way to stop it... but obviously you don't care.
I have tried 3 times to call an correct things. They tried to make it my fault. I have changed my password like they said. I am still receiving flirts from women. They are disappointed because they are trying to flirt with a guy. It is the worse.
They are useless and manipulate profiles. My outbox has dozens and dozens of messages sent to men (and women!) that I never even viewed, had no interest in, some I never even SAW! How dare they send messages to all these people saying I am interested in them! Unethical! They also send old photos of people no longer on the site to your visited list, or as "Flirts". One of them I was very interested in, and when I did not get a response from a few messages, I sent another message asking if he was real or not, and the photo was removed the next day. I know this was just an old photo because the profile was empty. People leave the site and clear out their profile, but their photos remain and end up getting sent to 'beef up" the matches. BEWARE!
I joined OurTime early September, 2020. By 23 September, my account information was reset by an unknown person. From my personal account they contacted me via text on my cell phone saying their account was deleted. He called himself Tony and called from *******886.
24 September, someone changed my photo and contacted over 100 men as me. This person changed the alerts and dating criteria so I had no clue until I checked on the 26th.
After posting a note to these men and on my profile my account was hacked, i asked several of them for the phone number they were supposed to contact. It was *******886 aka TONY.
28 September contacted OurTime. "Jamie" took me through several steps to change my pasword and other settings to kick this scammer of my profile. The attempt was unsuccessful and I just cancelled the account. My personal information is not safe with his site.
OurTime does nothing to stop "Tony" saying there are risks on all dating sites.
Answer: Not sure what you mean by the shaded areas. But never mind, I agree with Alex H, don't get involved with them, they are just after your money. The reply rate is extremely low and the site is full of fake profiles. You will just lose your time with it ( like I did and I regret it). It's important to find a legit site, the site that should suit you best and I found mine: https://j4l.com/402007 It's 100% legit and valid and they don't resort to bots and fakes. I met my girlfriend through them so I know it's a working site!
Answer: They are charging me and I cannot get on this site, I want a refund as I have not been able to use this site,
