I have ordered a few times and it is hit or miss. Sometimes they ship in a couple days sometimes they don't ship at all. My current order has been in processing status for 12 days and still hasn't shipped. The risk management team held it up with zero explanation and then once approved it is now been stuck in the warehouse for 4 days. 3 calls to customer service and an email through the site was zero help and not willing to make things right. Unless you are willing to gamble on it taking a week or a couple months to get your items, I would steer clear of Optics Planet.
Feel sorry for customer service personnel who must field questions from customers. Three items stated on 'website' as being 'in stock' however, when contacted O/Planet stated that the items were 'to be expected in 7-10 days plus additional 'few days' for packaging/shipping. Based on available info the three week old order will take an additional two-three weeks to arrive. Will NEVER order from this place ( will not honor it as a 'company') again..
If you are able, please purchase from another vendor. This company doesn't care if you leave a bad review or not. The have a disclaimer that they typically do not read these reviews which means they do not care about improving upon customer service or satisfaction.
Also thee shipping and deliver is terrible too.

While they have good products, their shipping and service sucks. Ordered on Monday and finally shipped on Friday with free 7-10 day shipping. Going to be about 2 week before I get my order.
I made a purchase on Monday April 10th and I paid about $97 for 2 day shipping as I was leaving out of town on a hunt so I would have it. Well it's Wednesday and it is still in Illinois and not Texas. Not to mention I leave Friday and package is do Friday by 7pm. Long after I'm gone. They will do nothing except give me a link to return. We'll if it gets stolen I can not return and out about $1100. Because they do not do what you pay for.
I purchased a jacket that was not in-stock but was quoted to ship in 7-14 days. It took them over a month and a half. The item was readily available from other sources. I had a gift card, so I gave it a shot. Never again.
I've had several experience with optics planet that were ok. Then I've had several that were an absolute nightmare. Fake in-stock items that immediately go on backorder INDEFINITELY. They give you a ship date and then when it comes up, the backorder date just changes with no explanation. Bait and switch to get your money. Also recently had them say an item was shipped and then CANCEL it, proving again, that they lie. In-stock? No it's not. Shipped? No it's not. Don't buy from them if you can avoid it, don't let them drag you around with the 6 month backorders.
Paid for an expensive thermal scope and it never arrived. They made me wait an entire month before I could file a lost item form. I called numerous times and they just never seemed to care. I called one day and the lady told me that i had to wait another day before I could file the form and she promised me she would call me in the morning. She never called. I then called back and I got the same gal. She didn't give a crap! I finally was able to get a refund and that customer service rep never apologized or anything. They dont care! I will never deal with them again and I would highly suggest you don't either..

OP shipped very late. The item was returned by my ship office. After two months, I have not seen a refund. I do not trust this company. They are very poorly managed.
Let's just say I had a $50 gift card bought something, returned it and now I don't have a $50 gift card. Customer service responds but refuse to listen to what you say.
Optics Planet in short, Lacks accountability for their mess ups. Empty promises are all you will receive from them about when products should ship but don't. They are quick to pull funds from your bank account but do little to get the product to your hand. I even went as far as to get expedited shipping with my order to ensure it was here with plenty of time to spare before my trip out west, only for it to sit in processing for entirely too long. Much longer than they're advertised 1-2 days. When you call customer service you get nothing but excuses. I ultimately cut them out and went straight to the source of the product I was wanting (American Defense MFG) and was greeted with fast, friendly customer service. I will have my product in time now thanks to them and their great company. In short Optics Planet is the worst, take your business and hard earned money elsewhere.
Never again! Order something and it says "in stock" - they give you a ship date 2 weeks out and when that date passes they slide it out another month. Scammers!
Literally don't waste your time giving optics planet your money. They know the usps distribution centers they use are the worst on the planet and they do not care. They just want your money. Been waiting a month for something I could of got the next day on Amazon
They were supposed to send my package overnight for my son's birthday, but instead sent economy 5-10 days. Did not want to fix the issue after. Bad on them. Palmetto State or Primary arms from now on.
I purchased a Boyds stock and when it arrived the barrel channel needed a very small amount of sanding for the barrel to fit. After doing so, and installing the barreled action, I tightened down the action screws and couldn't get the bolt open. After shimming the front screw of the floor plate and the action, the bolt would open but the fit was bad. I have over 20 years of gunsmithing experience and have used Boyds stocks before with nice results This one is inletted improperly, uneven and when I called Optics Planet the first time, I was told to contact Boyds. After talking to Boyds I was told to contact Optics Planet because they sold it. Optics Planet just told me too bad and that I spent $166.00 for nothing. Then the call ended. SOOOOO... I will not spend any more money with Optics Planet and will start believing bad reviews more. As for the stock, Boyds would take care of it if I purchased it from them and minor sanding can be expected, so, I see no need for having to deal with the B.S from Optics Planet. Horrible customer service. Too many other options to deal with this crap.
I've been buying from Optics Planet for over 3 years and never had any problem of any kind. I have purchased items that still have a better value than when I bought them. Always do your homework and wait for the right time. You'll know when to pull the trigger. Complete uppers, high end optics, ammo to name a few things and about 6 OP beanies.
4 out of the 4 times I ordered with them they either shipped to wrong address or did not include apt # so there was always delays and I always ended up having to call to find out what's going on. The address on the order confirmation would be correct but somehow they would always make mistakes when shipping the order out. I also ordered a $1200 Trijicon ACOG and when I opened it up (once I finally received it) it was broken. What kind of company ships out broken optics? And there's no way it could've happened during transit because those things come in a very nice hard case with foam inside. I was very surprised to see that they are shipping out not only used products when they are not advertised as used, but sometimes even broken. Also when I called about it they said it would take a week maybe even longer to receive the new one and that's AFTER they receive the broken one after it's shipped back to them. I ended up just demanding a refund and I will never order from them again. Mistakes happen but whenever it's every time you order you eventually learn your lesson. If you do decide to order from them, prepare to be spending a lot of time on hold and a lot of time making phone calls to customer support.

Tried to return on site would not let me, so i called they told me i had to go back onsite and put any product in and they do it on their end. Called was told William will be calling you back never received call this place is a joke stay away from this crooked place!
Answer: They ripped us off too. I'm going to file a BBB complaint and will mention I'm not the only one the took $$ from and never delivered my order and accused us of lying about it.
