Maybe we are spoiled by Amazon fast shipping, but it took about 10 days to get my order. That seems a little too long. But, they arrived - so - all good.
Seemed like a great price, ordered, given a $250ish total for 1 years contacts. Entered payment information, and AFTER it submitted the confirmation page said thanks for paying $500ish, with a 250ish 'insurance and handling fee' which was NO WHERE TO BE SEEN on the page where I gave them my money.
Phone number listed on the transaction reciept and my credit card page was invalid and went no where. I found another Customer service number and they say they cancelled the order... I'm suspicious. Very fraudulent transaction processes make me wonder if I'm going to have further trouble.
Company does not provide you with accurate processing times, states it will take 1-3 business days and if it exceeds 3 business days then they will email you an expected ship date. Did not receive a notification that the order was delayed and did not receive an expected ship date. Currently trying to contact customer service to see when they will ship the contact lenses and NO RESPONSE from their end. HORRIBLE COMPANY! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Sure, the initial price is amazing! Did I expect I would get a box of contacts for $37? NO! Bottom line is I got it for $69 vs $85 at Costco. That is what matters :)
I ordered a 90 day supply of contacts and used a coupon which made the price seem really good (40.48/box). $9.95 for shipping - not great, but, fair enough at 40 bucks per box. My contacts arrived. On top of the charge for two boxes and the shipping, I was charged $48.58 for "handling". This handling fee was not included in my purchase when I ordered. There is NO WAY I would have agreed to $48.58 for "handling" on top of a $90 order. This is a huge scam. I am waiting for their customer service to open to get an RMA number and return instructions, but I have a sneaking suspicion the "handling fee" will not be refundable. (I hope I am wrong). Avoid this website. They are SCAMMERS.
Update later same day: Contacted customer service and obtained a return label. After I specifically asked if the handling fee would also be refunded, was told the entire amount would be refunded. I asked for this in writing and got an email from the individual customer service representative. I really don't know if this will mean anything, but, I returned the contacts. Now I wait to see if I am refunded. (Word to the wise - it would be far easier to shop somewhere that is upfront about price.)
I used to shop at Opticontacts for my contacts needs, but I no longer do so due to two main reasons. The first is that the price that they list on Google is not the same when you search for the contacts on the site. I think that is downright misleading to customers. Why would the price be different on Google vs. a returning customer that is already aware of the website and searching for what they need? I felt absolutely mislead. The second reason is once you do add the contacts to your cart, you go to check out and realize the price is almost 1.5X higher with processing fees. For example, if I add 8 boxes of 90 day supply of contacts, Opticontacts tries to add a $25 fee per box. That's an extra $200 per order! For processing, what?! Also, the processing fee is different depending on whether you've added the contacts from the google search vs. organic website traffic. Why would there be a different processing fee for the same contact lenses?
I've attached pictures to back up both examples. The order process is not clear and misleading to consumers! I won't be returning. Maybe it's landed them a few dollars in the short term, but they're going to lose returning customers!
Had a valid prescription from an authorised optician here in Guam The optician had put a specific brand of multifocals on my script. Not the kind I wear. Opticontacts wouldn't let me order my Biofinity multifocals that I have worn for 7 years. Went back to the optician to have the name removed so I can order the ones I wear. That's not acceptable to O-Con either and will not fill my order without a specific brand on the script. I live in west Australia where I cannot get Biofinity brand which is why I had the specific brand removed from the script, hence the reason I am ordering them while in the US for a short time. Need to find a different company who is willing to take my money and valid script.

Contact lenses are medical products and contact lens prescriptions are brand specified since all the lenses are designed to feel and fit differently. We understand the rules may be different around the world however all orders filled within the US are processed based on the regulations put in place by the FDA to promote good eye health and prevent complications that may arise from contact lens wear. According to this, all orders can be filled only for the brand specified on the prescription. Please note it was not our intention to inconvenience you in any way. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! Still waiting to hear from an order I placed Dec 16 and supposedly shipped Dec 20 but still do not have! Nobody has returned my phone call as to where or what will be done!
Everything arrived on time and it was perfect. I appreciated the fast service and ease of ordering I will continue to use, would like to hear more about savings, etc.
They auto charged my paypal $45 for contacts I did not order. Customer service is horrible to deal with and still dont have my money back yet. Had to open a case with Paypal which is pretty sad.
It's always easy and simple to order or reorder things i need from here without the hassle of always resubmitting a prescription.
They advertise contact lenses for $19.99 per box but at check out the added $76.76 for "insurance and processing fees" in addition to the $8.95 for shipping. Very deceptive.
If you use this company to order your contacts and you need it right away won't happen, Day took 5 day to answer and seen like no body cares, who explain to me why I'm going to do without contacts.
Second he wants to charge me more to send my order separately, when is not my fault they don't have what I ordered. I really appreciate if from the beginning the website said outstuck or something like that, BUT NEVER HAPPENED... I don't recommend this site at all... AND I WILL NEVER USED THEM AGAIN.
Third time I have placed an order for contacts and have always been satisfied! Great company! Contacts are of good quality. My brand of contacts changed since a no problem returning unopened box.

Opticontacts is going to respond with "Every company is backordered". That's fine, just know that Opticontacts is MUCH WORSE!
I ordered on Aug 13. Based on other reviews, I expected the back-ordered email. I got it Aug. 14. Ok. I get a shipping notice, with a tracking number on Aug 26 - 8 business days, 13 days later. But, the post office has no record of the number. I wait for an update and none comes. August 31st - is when the Post Office actually receives the package. 13 business days after the back-ordered message.
It's September 3, and I might get my contacts on the 4th or 5th.
In the meantime, we have ordered from other companies, 6 pairs of glasses and 1 box of astigmatism contacts. We ordered later and have already received them - and guess what, the contacts were back-ordered there too. Still got them way faster!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH OPTICONTACTS UNLESS YOU HAVE OVER 1 MONTH TO WAIT!

Fast ordering and shipping process. Ordered the contacts Friday and received them by Monday afternoon with regular shipping selected. Will order here again.
This website is deceptive bordering on fraudulent. There are, as on other ecommerce contact lens retailers, processing fees associated with your order. On my order of approximately $115 worth of lenses, the processing fees were $24.41, or just shy of 25%. Whatever price you see, add a 25% hidden markup.
However, there is no mention of the fee or any associated line item displaying the fee in the Cart or Checkout screens, or even on the order confirmation screen. The fees are not listed in the order summary page after you have placed an order, and they are not listed in the confirmation email received after completing checkout. Only after you have placed and paid for your order can you REQUEST a full receipt (it is NOT sent automatically) that will actually display a processing fee you already paid for.
Fees are bad enough as is, but hiding them until after the transaction is complete and only displaying the fee after a special receipt is requested is beyond the pale. These are deceptive pricing practices and I will never buy anything from this business again.

We try to make the processing fee as evident as possible however since the processing fee represents a percent from the total price of your contacts it cannot be calculated until you add your items to the cart. As such the processing fee is indicated on the page where you select your shipping method (2nd page of checkout) and included in the total cost shown on the last page before you complete the order.

The processing fee is ridiculous, the more you order the higher your fee. Plus shipping. It shouldn't cost more than $3 to ship contacts. Yes, great prices but add in everything else, not so much.

OptiContacts has various special prices depending on where the deal is found. When ordering through a special promotional link the discounted price is automatically reflected. You will notice on the product page that the item is reflected as an "online only special" and has an offer code associated with the special price.
