Good service and a great price. I had sent my tape to another company who charged me four times as much and when I got my dvd back it only had half of my wedding and was distorted at the top of the screen. I spoke to ontodvd's tape repair guy and he got my tape to play perfectly for my remastered DVD. You saved our wedding for our kids to see in the future. Thank you

I posted my cine films to ontodvd on Friday last week got a call to, pay on Tuesday and the DVD arrived today with 2 free copies. The DVD is brilliant I will be sending more stuff and will definitely recommend.
AWFUL SERVICE! I will not use this company ever again. I sent them two VHS tapes and one DVC, the two VHS tapes were returned with DVD copies as requested, the DVC was missing with no copy. I rang them on numerous occasions (at no time did they ever ring me) to find out what had happened to it and they were totally clueless and said all they could do was replace the cost of the blank DVC, which incidently I never received. I lost an irreplaceable video of my father.
DON'T LET THEM LOSE YOUR PRECIOUS VIDEOS.
After trying for 8 weeks with 14 Telephone calls 4 Emails & 1Recorded letter I failed to get a single response from OntoDVD.com, yesterday I posted my review on SiteJabber and a MIRACLE happened, Callum OntoDVD's boss telephoned me and I was bombarded with a hail of abuse, threats and foul language, this was followed up with an email. He told me to take the review off the site otherwise I would get no refund and he would contact his solicitor, I pointed out that almost 50% of the reviews on his company were mirror images of my complaints against him and that people had a right to warn others of company's like his and no amount of threats would make me take the review off. I will post the results of my County Court claim as soon as the case has been heard, any other complainants should consider taking court action against him and get them shut down.
Can thank you enough for getting my wedding video sorted out. I thought it was lost but it looks better than I remember even before the tape snapped. I am sending my other tapes before christmas.
Took my money in the form of a cheque, cashed it and then sent a PayPal payment request. My order is being withheld and 3 phone calls and empty promises have not resolved the situation. Avoid...

I put my wedding video into my VHS player after having it sat on a shelf for over 10 years. The video got tangled up and i had to snap the tape to get it out. I was horrified as this was the only copy of my wedding tape!
After searching the internet i can across OntoDVD.com i called them up and spoke to them in person. They told me to parcel up the tapes as they reckoned there was a good chance they could recover it. I sent them off via recorded delivery.
A couple of days later i phoned them up to ask if they had received them - they had - and the videos had gone to their studio for transfer to DVD. I did not hear from them for a couple of weeks so i called them and they told me the videos were still in the studio.
After 3 weeks i called again and they told me the tapes had been recovered and they were posting them back to me. Next day i got a recorded delivery parcel that contained my original videos and 2 new DVD's in a case with my wedding recovered!
Really good job by OntoDVD - i had to call them as they did not call me - but still a good service in my experience.
We had damaged wedding tape for a client and their tape repair service saved our bacon. Tape fixed and a new HDV copy provided within 24 hours. Thanks Guys.
Well what can we say we are still waiting for our order that was placed in August 2010 everytime we contact the company they tell us that the items have been despatched by Special delivery Royal Mail has no knowledge of the order what do we do we needed our order back as we are avoluntary organisation based in Leeds and we trusted this company 100% but now we have second thoughts.
I sent a mixed batch of video tapes to ontodvd at the end of August/early September, having spoken to Callum a couple of times on the phone, and been very impressed with the response. The courier arrived to collect my tapes very promptly, and I received an e-mail in mid-September to say the transfer was complete, and requesting paymenrt via PayPal - this was done on 18 September (£120). Since then, I have been awaiting delivery, and have contacted the company on a number of occasions, I was given several reasons why the delivery has not been made - a couple of discs failed quality check, bad weather prevented courier collection, change of courier/backlog of delivery. I was told yesterday (8 October) that the delivery had left ontodvd on the 5th October and would be with me today latest. I have just spoken to ontodvd again, to ask for a tracking number, and been told that there is a note on the delivery from the courier which needs to be followed up - they will call me back! Having just stumbled on this site, I hope that I am not suffering from what a number of others seem to have suffered from, and that Callum will deliver on the promises he seems to be making. I will let you know what happens!
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I have never written a review of my experiences with a company but then I have never had such a TERRIBLE experience. They have yet to send me back my reels, are unaware of what they are doing, will tell you they will call you back and never call you back, never e-mail you, and will lie and curse to you over the phone (Branch Manager Jim called me a "$#*!head" and told me to "$#*! off", then hung up, after not wanting to hear what his own company had told me). I have never received such inappropriate treatment from a company in my whole life. Not to mention 800 feet of 30 years old video footage are still in their hands. Complete and utter failure of a company. Go with a Soho-based company in London who have the expertise and assurance you would expect from a company handling your personal memories.

I sent VHS tapes to be copied onto DVD. The results were pretty awful. I know that the quality of the VHS tapes was not good, but I didn't expect further deterioration in quality. Annoyed, I called OntoDVD to request a refund. The person I spoke too, Callum, refused and virtually accused me of wanting free DVDs, or of copying them and sending the originals back for a refund. Despite being outraged at this accusation, I reluctantly agreed to return the DVDs on the understanding that they would refund or replace them with better quality versions (if they accepted that they were not good quality) and, in any event that they would refund the postage for returning them (another £8.50). After I returned the DVDs, they allegedly recopied the tapes and sent better DVDs. The improvement was negligible! Now fed up with the fiasco, I had the tapes copied elsewhere to make sure that better quality copies were in fact possible. The versions I now have from the alternative supplier are fine. I have had no refund at all from OntoDVD, not even the additional postage cost that I was promised regardless of the outcome of my complaint. They no longer even reply to my e-mails. I would certainly not recommend this service.
