Further to my review about ontodvd, I would like to say that I eventually received my DVDs and was very pleased with the results. I think that their problem is with customer relations. They did not return any of my phone calls as promised and few e mails, so I was in the dark as to what was happening with my films. I did require the films for a special occasion, but did not get them in time, that's what frustrated me.
Sadly I didn't read the poor reviews until after they had my cine films and were behaving appallingly.
They took twice as long to process them from what they said and then having paid they took a month to send my order back to me.
They tell lies, don't respond to emails, never call you back and often don't answer their phones.
They told me repeatedly my order had been dispatched then when it hadn't arrived, they miraculously found it still in their possession.
The quality is better than the ones I made years ago but the films do not seem to have been cleaned and are full of dust spots and other dirt flickers.
I'm not impressed and would not recommend them to others - I'm just glad to have them back in my possession
Terrible service. Posted them my tapes in November 2010 and heard nothing since. They've not even sent me an invoice for me to pay them, and I'm getting no response from my e-mails and phone calls. I originally wanted these tapes converting to dvd as a Christmas present for a releative, but all I want now is for them to return my tapes and I'll find someone else to convert them.
Sent 2 lots of cine for processing. First lot came back well on time. Second lot not. The dvds were faulty (which they admitted), asked for a replacement which didnt come. Asked again - well we'll see...
I waited for weeks, was messed about and lied to by this company. When I did finally recieve my dvds weeks after I was promised I was devastated with the appaling quality of them. The times i did manage to be in contact with them i was dealt with foul & abusive language and when I asked for a refund, the guy said what do you expect for £5 a DVD. I expect the job to be done correctly like they advertise! And not to be treated like complete and utter crap!
I discovered 2 Cine Film reels of a family wedding on Tuesday this week which I needed transferred for today. I called ontodvd who confirmed they could help. I delivered the films and collected them this afternoon. What a wonderful job! The couple will be very surprised at their party this weekend. Will be using them again..
I posted off a video tape of my sons christening, unsure of what years in the loft may have done. I got the tape and DVD back today and I am totally delighted that the film was able to be put on DVD. An extra Christmas present or my son! Great service,
Great service. Low price comired to others we looked up. Got a DVD packaged with cover, my photo was printed too for £10 all in for our 2 hour wedding demo video so can't fault it for the money. Good value
I had Cine films transferred to DVD by these guys, and the results were great. We had no idea of the content so it was a great surprise for us when we got the DVD back. Would recommend, and pretty reasonable price as well. We also got 2 free copies which was good.
Got my camcorder tapes put to DVD by this company. Very good price, and quality DVD, and they were local so I could take them in person. Would recommend for anyone in Glasgow.
I accidently damaged our wedding video in our machine and thought we had lost it. We sent our VHS tape in for repair to ontodvd and they not only fixed the tape, but cleaned up the picture on our DVD copy. I can't thank them enough as I thought my wife was going to be heartbroken. Many thanks froma very grateful customer!
Very impressed with overall service. With very little time before Xmas I arranged for 10 S8 & some Betamax & VHS tapes to be collected and honestly did not think they would be back in time for showing to visitors over the holidays. It needed 2 phone calls but they got the DVDs back to me in time and the quality of the recording was very good (bearing in mind the age of the donor material). Recommended.
Whilst clearing the garage, I came across tapes of my kids. Went on line and found ontodvd. I took advantage of the free collection service, and the order was returned at the end of last week. My wife is over the moon at seeing the kids when they were younger. Well pleased with the service. Thanks!
Thanks guys for doing a great job fixing some and transferring the remainder of my video collection after discovering it in the garage. I found these guys after searching round my own state for someone. Great being able to show the kids some of my family and their antics!

Must say I was very impressed with the way my order handled as I knew nothing about my tapes as I had so many. I phoned them with very little information about my tapes but they still came the next day and collected 20 of them for me to try them out and the following week I got a call confirming they where all ok and on dvd ready for return. I paid online and got the package the next day. All the DVD's look great with many memories on the tapes printed on the covers and DVD's. All in all well worth the money. Peter Jamieson, Essex.

I found Camcorder Tapes of my Children whilst moving house. I called ontodvd, and sent them the order. The staff were courteous, and gave me a number of options to send my tapes and the pricing was very competative too. I received the order today and I am delighted with my DVD's.
Good service and a great price. I had sent my tape to another company who charged me four times as much and when I got my dvd back it only had half of my wedding and was distorted at the top of the screen. I spoke to ontodvd's tape repair guy and he got my tape to play perfectly for my remastered DVD. You saved our wedding for our kids to see in the future. Thank you
PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
They are totally unprofessional and will rip you off. We paid over £100 for cine film transfers. When we finally recieved them, after waiting over a month, they were faulty. On the companies instruction we sent them back and were promised a refund. We're still waiting for the refund. We have contacted the company 9 times and keep being told that there's no one available to do the refund or that a cheque will be sent out within 7 days. During one phone call we were accused of copying the dvds before sending them back for our refund and told to SHUT UP. They are THE most unprofessional company I have ever come across. They are con artists who will take you for a ride.
