The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

Very easy to use, quick transaction, very happy with purchase
Ordered tickets in Novemer to Russian Ballet Nutcracker for 12/30 as a Christmas present for my daughter. Was emailed that they were to arrive on are before 12/23.12/24, no tickets, called and asked about the tickets, said they would be emailed shortly. Got email that they would not be emailed until 12/29. Called customer service, no luck, had to speak to a supervisor named Hector G. Very unhelpful. This company should not be allowed to do business. You try to order directly from the box office and their website pulls up. DO NOT USE!
Good experience with this site. Would recommend it to others.
Gracias, estan muy atentos a tu orden y si ya te llegaron los boletos, eso esta muy bien
Living out in Diamond Bar, it's not practical for me to go to the box office. My granddaughter is crazy about theater and so I wanted to get tickets for The King and I as a special treat for us together. Thank you for making it a pleasure -- she's SO excited.
I was pleased with the ordering system. I would use Online City Tickets again in the future. It was an easy process and had no trouble at all.
An awesome experience, would definitely use the site again.
When you spend three times the price that's printed on the ticket, I feel scalped. This may be the norm, but i was a little stunned. The tickets printed out a problem, still haven't used them. Hope the seats are there.
This is the first time I have used this site and I will definitely be using it again. It was fast and easy and I received my tickets within minutes.
When I printed tickets they have someone else's name on them. Sent email to let them know received a response they would have a rep call me as of now no response
Arrived fast, download was super easy. However, the actual cost of the service fees seemed WAY too high. Hard to say I'll be using this as a first (or second... or third) option when service fees add nearly $100 extra!
MY RATING IS A "0"
I search for the nutcracker play in San Diego and come across a website which has on its click link from google "100%money back guarantee" so I go to the website where is has 2 tickets for $61. Awesome! I'm getting these. I scan the website and nowhere on it first page of the purchasing process does it state that this price is PER TICKET! It doesn't even allow you to change the number of ticket validating even further that this price is for the 2 tickets combined. Next page I enter my info and credit card info and my phone starts acting up and before I even know what's happening I must have accidentally clicked on the confirmation and now I'm the page stated "thank you for your purchase of $166.00" i called them immediately, after all they are a company with a "100% money back guarantee" inproceed to call where a customer service agent tells me he can do nothing for me and the tickets are officially mine not even 1 minute after purchasing. After disagreeing with him for 5 minutes telling him my story and stating that the website is misleading he then tells me that he has no one "above" him which I could speak to as he is the manager. So I hang up and call back immediately and this person answers states he is the supervisor. Hmmm, I'd like to work here, everyone with telephone skills gets bumped up to managerial positions quite quickly obviously. How is this place staffing only managers and supervisor to answer telephones? This second gentleman then tells me as well that he must reiterate what his coworker told me because there are no refunds whatsoever and there is also no one "above" them when ch I could voice my concern to. He then suggested to resale my tickets to someone else if I'm not happy with my purchase. Well I refuse to deal with this company and give them my money which I feel was taken in a misleading advertisement so I called my bank and notified them of my concern and fortunately my bank offers help with this for a 20$ fee. I was able to stop payment to this company. I see many other complaint on this website about the same issue. If this happens to you call your bank because the payment is finalized, usually 48hrs.
If you're willing to pay outrageous service fees, you'll get your tickets.
Paid $69 for $35 Journey tickets, will not use again. Bill with handling was $173, I learned a hundred dollar lesson
Fast and easy. I'm not that great with technology and I was able to navigate the site with ease
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
