The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

It was easy to find what I wanted, quick process. Just with the tickets could have been mailed instead of printed
Should have done more shopping around before I purchased tickets from OnlineCityTickets. Tickets are significantly marked up in price and they tack on service charges and delivery charges (even for email delivery). I paid half the cost of my tickets in service charges and delivery charges. Right after I placed an order my friend messaged me saying they had just purchased our tickets--I called customer service within ten minutes of placing the order and they said they do not provide refunds under any circumstances. Total crap. Will not use them again.
Me gusta mucho porque los pasos a seguir son muy fáciles, también me dan un buen servicio son muy fáciles y rápidos.
With the added "service fees" and the seller's mark up, I ended up paying over $385 for two tickets whose combined face value is less than $160. That's about 2.3 times the value. I understand that the seller and Online City tickets have to make their cut, but $65 and $45 (respectively), is rediculous. $110 markup/fees for an $80 ticket. They do not allow you to view the ticket before committing to the purchase, but I suppose they would be out of business if they did. One of their angles is to deceive you into thinking you're getting your money's worth... until you give them your money. This was my first experience with Online City Tickets, and it WILL be my last. For almost $400 for two tickets, we will be way up on a balcony, practically pushed up against the wall, watching a stage of people I HOPE is Tom Petty's band (from that distance, they'll look like ants).
So, if you like being financially raped, or simply make enough money to throw away toward unjustified service fees, then Online City Tickets is your place.
I usually buy tickets through Ticketmaster, and so I was uncomfortable with buying tickets through this vendor, not sure I'd get them. While my tickets don't have my name on them (and I'm still uncomfortable with that), the process was relatively easy. I did not, however, have any choice of seats, just section and row. Still, I would probably use this site again.
I paid for 3 tickets for a show in Montreal Canada and when I placed the order it wasn't stated very clear that prices are in USD$ instead of CAD$. I realized after 15 minutes so I called the customer service to cancel my order. I was very bad surprised that they cannot cancel my order even if I hadn't received yet the tickets. It was simply one of the worst experience I ever had; they had no option for me to fix the situation and the agent was just repeating again and again the same phrase from the long "Terms and Conditions" that I signed. It was simply useless.
Tickets were easy to purchase but the additional charges that were added onto the tickets were way out of line. Will not be buying tickets through this website again.
Pretty simple to order. Would have liked to have found areas for the handicapped. Did not find any available. If so would like information.
Fast and so easy >. My new site for concert tickets. My experience for the first time with OnlineCityTickets was so smooth from start to finish. Seat selection was great to.
I purchased tickets that appeared to be quite a bit cheaper than from the ticket outlet. They didn't mention that it was in US dollars and there was a fairly large transaction fee, so the ticket turned out to cost twice as much as the posted price. With that being said, I am happy with the tickets I purchased and am looking forward to the event! The process was very easy and smooth and I was able to print my tickets immediately!
This is the best way to purchase tickets. Easy Peasy! I would recommend this to everyone who is making last minute plans like we do!
I was relieved to know I could still get tickets to the concert through this online company and found it easy to do so and recommend them to others
Very easy to order tickets through the online portal. Shipping was right on time and arrived the day promised. I am very impressed with this kind of customer service.
I will use this service for my future endeavors.
THIS IS TERRIBLE SERVICE. I HAVE EMAILED THEM TWICE ABOUT MY TICKETS TO SEE THERESA CAPUTO TO NO AVAIL. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM. I MAY JUST CANCEL THE CHARGE ON MY CREDIT CARD AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE AND TRY TO DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM USING THEM
I'm glad I used this site. The tickets arrived the next day(as I ordered next day delivery) and they were legit and the exact row and seats that I had asked for. Thanks guys!
Would appreciate knowing ticket cost up front, prior to checkout. I was confused why i didn't see pricing earlier. Otherwise process was simple.
Total rip off, the site is misleading, and I would strongly recommend not using this site.
Two $115 dollar tickets turned into $460, service fee of $45 EACH and in small print at the bottom of the page USD.
1. The fees are hidden until one has already decided on purchasing the tickets.
2. The additional charges were significant.
3. And a fee for sending an e-mail, really?!
I didn't know all sales were final who reads the term and conditions anyway its too long. I called to get a refund because i wasn't informed the tickets had to be printed (seriously outdated btw if i can buy a movie ticket or a train ticket and get the tickets scanned off my phone why are they not using this technology?) and i was told "well there your tickets now you can sell them or print them out" not to mention i was charged and extra $15 per ticket for buying from them, the tickets were already $52ea and a $7 fee for downloading which upset me the most because all they did was email me a pdf that i have to go print now so i got overcharged $37
Don't use this site to buy your tickets this was my first time i will not make this mistake again next time i'll check out ticket master and definitely shop around it being my first time I felt rushed to buy tickets because i didn't want to miss out on the only good seating that was still available in my price range.
OH I ALMOST FORGOT AFTER MY PURCHASE THEY WANTED A REVIEW BUT AFTER I FILLED OUT ONE START AND EXPLAINED MY DISAPOINTMENT THE EMAIL THAT WAS REQUIRED TO SEND ME MY TICKETS WHICH I RECEIVED I WAS TOLD TO ENTER A VALID EMAIL BUT THE BOX TO ENTER THE EMAIL IN WAS THE ONLY INFORMATION BOX THAT WOULD NO LONGER WORK SO THAT SEEM PRETTY SHADY LIKE THEY DONT WANT MIXED REVEIWS.
Got tickets and downloaded them. Got tickets and downloaded them. GGot tickets and downloaded them. Got tickets and downloaded them. Got tickets and downloaded them.
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
