After purchasing a new set, all 12 knives rusted. We contacted customer service and they stated they would replace the knives but after multiple attempts, this has still not occurred. The keep asking "how many" knives are rusted and we keep responding. You can't even write a review on their site. That should say something. Very dissatisfied! They used to be a great company years ago. What happened Oneida?
Several months ago I purchased a complete set of everyday flatware for my daughter. The first time she ran them through the dishwasher they came out totally rusted. I emailed the company and sent pictures and of course, no response. Their return policy states that it will be OUR responsibility for the shipping cost to send them back. I also noticed that their products are NOT MADE IN THE USA! I have had my Fine flatware for over 40 years and not one rust mark which is why I decided to purchase a set for my daughter. I also purchased for myself, extra pieces for my existing set. They became rusted as well. If I knew that Oneida flatware was manufactured in other countries, I would have purchased elsewhere. This company has really gone downhill. I will never purchase anything from them again.
I placed two different orders with Oneida.com during the holidays. I ordered glassware on sale. Both items arrived well packaged, no breakage. Yes, it took several days to ship, but they state that on the website, orders ship between 72-96 hours.
I did need to call customer service a couple of times with a credit card issue (not their fault) and both times a live person picked up who was friendly and helpful. Totally happy. Looking at some wine glasses now for my next order.
I ordered 8 spoons. I wanted teaspoons. Their item said "dinner" spoons. I thought they were one and the same. Upon further checking, it appears that their dinner spoon is much larger (my family uses the larger spoon as a soup spoon, and the even larger ones as serving spoons). I attempted to call every phone number I could find for Oneida and for Anchor Hocking in an attempt to resolve this quickly but only got message boards saying everyone was busy. Seriously? I left messages everywhere saying it was urgent someone call me back. Crickets... My problem could be resolved within 2 minutes of speaking to a representative, but instead they now have a very frustrated and angry individual who regrets doing business with them!
Ordered a pattern online for 40% off. Within 12 hours, it was 50% off with free shipping. Oneida refused to credit me the difference or cancel the order. NEVER AGAIN. I will shop at a reputable store even if it is more expensive.
They don't allow any changes or cancellations to orders after you submit. They got my shipping address wrong and refused to cancel the order. Even before it was even processed and shipped. Awful company. Avoid at all costs.
Uninterested to help in getting specific pieces. I was told to go back to the store where I purchase items and get a refund.
Maybe they are going out of business and don't care. The bottom employees only copy their superior's attitude.
I ordered two sets of the Manchester 16 piece glassware. Order arrived and was found to be of VERY poor quality! Glasses had a defect similar to a blog of glass on the drinking edge, seams are very rough, spider web internal cracks are very visible.
My order was $85 and paid $10 for shipping. I wanted to return the glassware and return shipping is not covered. I took the box to UPS only to find out that shipping would cost me $92.
BUYER BEWARE! Poor Quality, look elsewhere!
We got our Oneida Icarus set for a wedding give 11 years ago. I reached out to get some replacements for some pieces I lost (I'm the husband). They returned my email and let me know that they have since discontinued the set. They then directed me to a different site that sells replacements second-hand. I found the pieces I needed and made a purchase. The fact that they were will to direct me to a different vendor for a sale instead of trying to sell me something else, or simply telling me no was a show of great customer services in my opinion.
Have loved my Oneida flat wear until I ordered a second set. Since it was the same pattern, silly me expected the same quality. Not so, newer set is lighter, much less quality than my original made in USA set.
Oneida has lost a long time customer!
They tell you to take a picture but do not tell you what to take a picture of! Asked what approximate turn around time would be and they would not answer! I just wanted an estimated time. Also they will not get you a supervisor.
Bought cookie cutters one was bent out of shape called the company long story short they said they couldn't do anythig about it that i had to call another 1800 number called that number it was not a working number that they provided for me i will never buy nothing from them ever again
We placed two online orders on Oneida.com for spoon sets.
Both we declined without email notification.
We called their customer service. Did not help.
Talked with Keisha, supervisor. Did not help, either.
My Olympia silverware has a design flaw that causes it to break at the seam. Before Lenox bought Oneida, Oneida would honor their warranty even though the line was discontinued, with a different piece. I was informed today that Oneida will not honor the warranty. The warranty is only good for the "lifetime of the line" and not for the defect of the piece. Be aware that Oneida no longer honors the warranty when they discontinue the line even though it is stated in the warranty to defects will be replaced. Not when they discontinue the line. Poor customer service.
While I like the products, NEVER ORDER THROUGH THE COMPANY SITE DIRECTLY. Seriously, that was a huge mistake and it even cost more to do that. Customer service is non-existent. The phone just rings and noone answers email. I don't know if anyone even works in the office at this point. I need to return my set and I am screwed.
The worst customer service I've EVER experienced. Do NOT buy from this website. Their checkout system is really bad and gives you no warning that your order will be placed without you getting to review it. And they don't let you cancel or modify your order no matter what, even though I tried calling immediately after I placed it ( they did not answer) and emailed right away as well. Terribly cold and rude.
"Oneida Teflon frying pan coating separated, cracked and flaked into food creating serious health risk. When Oneida was notified they told me that I had abused their product and that they had no responsibility for the defect. They refused to make any exchange or refund. When you pay $40 for a single frying pan you expect a quality product. Not a health hazard. "
This is what I get for trying to support Anchor Hocking at Oneida.com instead of going through Amazon! I ordered a really cute 70 oz glass pumpkin jar for a pumpkin themed baby shower. I ordered with plenty of time to receive the item before the shower, and did in fact receive it a week prior to the party. Unfortunately, all that was shipped to me was the lid. The lid! I immediately sent a message to the company, yet hadn't heard anything back two days later, so I called and had the "pleasure" of speaking with Danielle in customer service. With an irritated tone in her voice, she informed me that they would be more than happy to ship me the dish portion of the pumpkin but that it would take 7 to 10 days, with no option to rush it. As my party was 5 days away, and with no possible way to get the bowl portion of my product in time, I inquired about returning the lid. I was informed that I was able to return it and would be refunded for the order once they received it, with the caveat that I would have to pay for shipping. Asking for an alternative solution to their error that didn't penalize me, Danielle repeated the previous options, with her already irritated tone getting ruder with each word. If companies like Oneida and Anchor Hocking would like to compete with Amazon, they should at least attempt to adopt similar shipping and return processes. Unfortunately, this situation reiterated why I continue to send my money to Amazon, even though I'd rather support individual companies directly. Sorry Oneida.com, this order was a failure all the way from shipping to customer service.
I have placed online orders with Oneida in the past and have had no issues. Come Black Friday/Cyber Monday, I had issues placing an order all weekend with errors on the website. I emailed them and called them. The CSR I spoke with was even having the same issues I was having, and couldn't complete my order. I called Tuesday (after Cyber Monday) - still having the same issues, and they WOULD NOT honor the discounts, even with notes in the system of the issues. Completely unacceptable, and will not order from them again.
I placed an order 3 weeks back. Called last week and was told that my "Order was in the warehouse waiting to ship" and that I would get an shipping number the next day. A week has passed and now I can't even get them on the phone!
Big scam. Don't be duped.
Answer: If I knew Oneida's flatware were so poorly manufactured, I would have purchased my flatware set from 360 Cookware. Their products are completely manufactured here in the USA! Excellent quality!
Answer: Non existent. Let me know if anyone finds someone.
Answer: Scam maybe? You get the product for inflated costs and no returns or any customer service reps employees.
