Very Unhappy with product for when I asked for refund u blankly refused
Very dissatisfied with this service as I only found out part way through that phones can be unlocked for free in Canada though any major service provider. Unlocked a phone about half way through and their checks can't even detect that the phone has already been unlocked. They're basically stealing money from people who don't know any better which is what happened to me. I would never recommend this to anyone ever.
I ordered for unlock with $48 and they came back asking for another $68. Dont ever believe them. Its a big scam. They say that they cant refund and it is stated in thier terms and conditions. Dont fall for their scam
They do not actually unlock your phone for the $35 CDN advertised. This is just a pre-service (which you don't find out until later). Shortly after paying the initial $35, they will email you asking for an additional $68 (total of over $100) to continue the service of unlocking your phone. I tried to email them back but they blocked my email and I am not able to reach them. Completely misleading and false advertising on their website. By the way, I never write reviews but after being scammed by this company I wanted to make others aware of the total cost to unlock your phone. I have added photos to prove they sent me a follow up email asking me to make a 'final payment' of $68 to complete the service. This final payment was never mentioned in the initial purchase process. I also was curious why there were so many good 5 star ratings? But discovered that directly after you purchase the initial $35 pre-order, they ask you to rate their service. Obviously at this point, most people will rate highly and that is because they haven't yet realized they have been scammed. Very disappointed with this company and shocked they haven't been shut down yet; which is probably why they're located overseas.
They didn't get success for unlocking device now they ask then will not return my amounts 135$. They ask me before they will return full amount if they didn't get success.
These guys lure you into unlocking with low price, and then hit you with additonal price, which is lot more than other reliable unlockers like doctorsim, code2unlock. Beaware and avoid these guys.
And customer service will never refund your original money, if you are not happy.
This company accused me of sending them a blocked device (totally untrue) and then refused me my full refund, offering me only 50% instead. They could not tell me why my phone was blocked when challenged. Do not believe their promises.
I paid the money they asked then u get an email that u have to pay further monies otherwise u loose code
I paid $36 on 11 Jun
later asked for another $71 as the phone would be unlocked in a few days. A week later I received a message stating that the phone would be unlocked in 48 hours.
5 days later, nothing.
I returned the phone to the vendor ( Kogan) as they had sent the unlocked phone in error for a full refund.
Official Sim Unlock refuse to refund me as the 30 day contract with them is extant.
A scam company. Do not use.
They are cheaters. They showed $26 to unlock my iphone 8. I pais thru my debit card and after 24 hours they sent me another mail that I have to pay $52 more. These people are fraud stay away from them my problem was not resolved neitherI got my money back.
Total scam, falsely advertised as €23 to unlock iPhone but claiming afterwards that this actually just covers the pre-unlock check. You get another email to complete your order to get your unlock pin but must cover additional price of €122! Of course they couldn't refund my original payment and instead was offered 15% discount on some bulk order if I went ahead! Total scam, very misleading!
My phone was unlocked with no issues at all, however due to the weekend there was a slight delay.
Do not spend money or waste your time. They claim to be able to unlock and even the 7 day wait seems potentially reasonable but the small print says 30 days, and to keep going to the next "support person" demands an increased payment. Save your money and find another way. This one is brutal!
It's very rare that I write reviews but just had to write this for these scam merchants!
As others have said you pay an initial fee which isn't made clear at the time of contracting. I paid £19.41 then I received an email to say Good news we can unlock your phone in 24 hours you just need to pay £74.28, although disappointed it seemed so close to having the phone unlocked I paid it.
A week later despite emails being sent back and forth telling me it was happening I got another email saying that they couldn't unlock the phone and as a gesture of good will they would refund 50% When I expressed surprise as they had sent an email saying Good News etc... they said that was the offer take it or leave it. So I agreed that was on 23rd April.
I waited the 5 working days and no refund, I contacted them again and was told that the refund had been processed.
I contacted them again asking for details of the transaction so I could pass it onto my credit card company I know receive no reply to either phone or email messages and still no refund!
I am considering a County Court Claim but am unable to find out their company address, I suspect its not in the UK!
Avoid this place. They said they can unlock my phone for 35$ Than I waited a whole 24hours to be told that I need to send an extra 99. Than I tried to get my money back which I'm entitled to back and they stopped responding or sent an automated email without addresssing my actual concern or refund.
Process good phone I locked from UK carrier now working with a Australian carrier. Happy
Complete Scam company who lure you in with small fee of €23 and then try and charge you a further €88 for unlock code with no justification. Have asked for full refund and completely no response. Stay away from this group unless you like giving money away.
The positive reviewers and fake. These guys are totally scammers. Do not waste your money and time! I know other people in Australia that were victims too! They request a second payment after you paid the first fee saying that is the last step to release your phone to your network.
Answer: 100 percent a scam; morally, legally, colloquially speaking.
Answer: No I would advise you to go somewhere else. This company is a total ripoff.
Answer: You didn't realize it because officialsimunlock.com didnt want you to realize it, at least until after they reeled you in with a first "prepayment".
