Bought a desk in July tried returning it 2 week after because horrible sent wont go away was told to air it out no problem it will go away it does not got away I get a rash on my arm also gut scraped on my arm from desk that left a light scar because the $#*!ing desk is coated with formaldehyde contacted office depot customer service FOLLOWED THEIR steps and still haven't gotten any results called their support spoke with an $#*! name kyle that was no help that admitted they coat their products with FORMALDEHYDE.

Incorrect shipment, so hard to return, still no refund. Don't order online from them! Customer service not able to resolve but hand off to another department and ghosted.

This morning I was at your store at 8 am. No one was there. The sign says OPEN AT 8 on Fridays. So… I came home and ordered from Amazon. My order will be delivered tomorrow. You lost a customer.

I asked for a Teacher Discount and I was told it only applies for 2 weeks in August! What? Teachers work and purchase ALL YEAR LONG FOR OUR CLASSES AND STUDENTS! What kind of support is that?! I will not be purchasing from Office Depot and will share with my colleagues NOT to purchase any supplies as well!

I recently purchased something that was supposed to be shipped 2nd day delivery. Someone at their warehouse made a mistake and sent it standard freight, consolidated delivery. Meaning that it went to a trucking company who schedules it for a semi. That semi won't leave the warehouse until the semi is full. Right now the expected delivery is July 5th. Meanwhile, Office Depot has over $500 of my money. I can cancel the order and expect my refund within 30 days (they won't even begin the refund until the receive the chair back at their warehouse) and there will be a restocking fee for cancelling my order. My other option is to wait until July 5th for my order.

I'm not upset that someone made a mistake; mistakes happen. I'm upset because they won't fix it. They won't send me out another order 2nd day (which I paid for) and they won't authorize me to pick up the item at my local Office Depot. Nobody should judge a company based on a mistake they make, you should judge them on how they rectify that mistake. And Office Depot does not take care of their mistakes.

The driver would not carry the box of paper upstairs, I told him this was an office full of women his reply was I don't know what to tell you carry it up when ream at a time.

Would not give me credit for multipack refurbished OFFICE DEPOT ink cartridges. Only the black cartridge was opened. It would not work in printer because it did not have HP chip in it, so I didn't open the rest of the cartridges in the pack. The manager said I could not get a refund because it was expired and I did not have the receipt. It was an OFFICE DEPOT brand and it did not work because it had no chip, not because it was expired. So it was defective when I bought it. Ridiculous that they won't give store credit for their own defective product. I will not shop at Office Depot or Office Mac or their online sites again.

The big question is "how long"? How long do they plan to stay alive? Today I went to one of their stores and all I could buy was a Scotch Tape holder because the blade on mine went bad and I did not want to pay shipping charges from an on-line store even though the prices were half that of Office Depot.
There was a time when I spent a fortune at Office Depot, and now I can't find anything at all of "value". They gobbled up Office Max, and Reliable Office Supplies, and who knows or cares whatever other store; and still there is not a bargain to be found. Even their "bargain basement" equivalent department has nothing that was worth buying.
What a shame! But what can you say for a store that still sells software for Windows 98se, Windows 2000, and Windows XP?
When I can buy the best pens in the world directly from China (shipping included) for less than $0.10, why would I pay $1 to $5 for the same thing at Office Depot? Yes, I'll wait 2 weeks for delivery!
What they should do is get rid of all their high priced equipment and furniture and become a "Big Lots" type of discount store. Or - just sell to their corporate clients - on line.
