WOW NIGH T MARE
October 8, 2023

I've been before I had them print off my emails for me.
Saturday at noon one person working the print area. While already helping a customer ask me what do I need. I need a copy of my work permit for work.
I brought it up on my email. Said okay I'll be with you in a minute. While this lady is deciding whatever it is, she's deciding. He proceeds to help 2 or 3 other people. All of a sudden, he says to me my emails frozen. I don't know how long it's gonna be. I said I'll come back. Now I would think that because of the business that they're in that they would have a top of the line computer equipment and not have email freeze up on them okay whatever.
Go back 5:30 Only one person at the counter working But no one's there customer wise. She looks at me and then looks back at her computer.after about 3 minutes I walk to her Can you help me with something? She hurrys up closes what she's pretending to do says "what do u want" NO GREETING she was sighing like she's being bothered. I said I need a copy of my work permit from email. She waves for me to go by the printers and says do it over there I said I don't know how I need u to do it she sighs again And says I charge $2.50 to do you want to pay that, I said of course, I don't mind. She tosses me her card and says email to the card.ive done it before so email is Alreadyin my phone.Takes 5 seconds. So now I'm standing there and standing there and she doesn't check the email and she knows I'm done because I'm looking at her lady comes up out of a clear blue and she starts helping her. And of course, this lady has 10 questions. Then you make some mistake on her computer has to call the manager over who shocked me. I thought he was the janitor he stayed in there Sweeping the whole time and could see what was going on. That she's rude and ignore me.
Fixes her mistake, finally she gets done... Opens the email and says what do you want again and I said a copy up that permit. I just sent you the email 15 minutes ago. She says I don't know how to do that. I'm like seriously she says yep.
Why did she have me send her the email if she didn't know how to do that?
This girl obviously has no customer service skills. Number one, she doesn't know what she's doing, she's not been trained properly, and the manager is busy sweeping he might as well just be the janitor Cause you seem to be really good at that and they need to get a real manager. Cause hes better at sweeping Then training her... This girl has the personality of a komodo dragon.
She doesn't even care about Herself or she would have brushed her hair before she went to work. Has absolutely no customer service skills. And allegedly doesn't know what and why she's there...I still don't have a copy could not go to my job cause I need this permit to be on Me. Lost 6 hours of pay and tips that are good on sat nite.my boss Is pissst... All because of incompetent employees at office max in Gresham or depot or whatever they call themselves.
I know that these employers are desperate for employees but come on This was unacceptable behavior. You need to train your manager and your employees correctly...before letting them loose on the floor.
Starting with hygiene.
You know who was scheduled sat evening 10-7-23 the g irls name is Naya mawa something like that Oh k, well, that's the card
She gave me, I couldn't see a name tag in the manager I don't know what his name was he had a beard and a red shirt loved his broom could not see name tag on either one.But if I acted like one of those 2.I would hide it also.
Incompetency is unacceptable for the amount of money they get paid...these are classified as "business killer employees"
GOOD LUCK IN TRAINING THESE TWO
IT MAY NOT BE WORTH THE TIME THEY NEED TRANSFORMATIONS.

Do not use Office Depot
July 15, 2022

Alright. I'm starting a new remote job next week, so I decided to treat myself and get a nice desk. Chose Office Depot because I thought they were a good company. My mistake.

Spent all day picking out a nice desk, hutch, printer stand, and bookshelf. $965 in my cart. Almost bought a new chair but decided to buy that later down the road.

Ready to order at 8pm. Online card system won't accept my card. Re-entered the card number at least 7 times and even scanned the card. Says the cv is wrong. Ok. Downloaded the app. Still wrong. Go to my computer. Still wrong.

Called my bank. Said I have an outstanding credit history and no holds on the card. Ok.

Tried another 5 times. Checked my name, billing/shipping address. Everything. No go.

I really wanted this desk, so I decided to apply for a credit card through them. Figured I could link it to my account and place my order. Maybe get an additional discount or something. Wrong.

Applied for their credit card, completed the application, said I had to call for additional information. Fine.

Called them, can't help me. Had to wait for the letter to come in the mail in 2 weeks. Nope. Canceled my application. Now, I have a hit on my credit for nothing.

I am beyond enraged.

Sitting there, thinking, well what do I do now. I want this desk. Can't call Office Depot because they are closed.

Decided to see if Amazon has it. Oh look, they have it for the same price and faster shipping. Bought the desk, hutch, and printer stand. Amazon didn't have an issue accepting my card.

Now, what Office Depot had that Amazon didn't is a better price on the bookshelf. Office Depot had it for $100 less. Fine. I will call in the morning and tell them my story.

Called today, gave the rep my story. Puts me on hold for 10 mins to consult her supervisor. I get "disconnected".

Called back, demand a supervisor. Will not repeat this saga to the rep. Get the supervisor. Long story short, can only provide a $15 discount. Not good enough.

Asked for whoever is above them, gave till 4pm today for a call back.

Surprise, surprise. No call back.

I was fully prepared to spend an extra $100 to get my bookshelf through Amazon, but guess what. Amazon now has it cheaper than Office Depot. Ordered.

I will never use Office Depot again, and no one else should either.

I am posting this on every social media platform I can find. I will create them just for you, Office Depot.

I am not happy.

Unless you offer me a phenomenal discount, express shipping, that Realspace Magellan 24"W lateral 2-drawer file cabinet in espresso - item number *******, or a very nice office chair – I will never do business with you again.

I am highly disappointed with you and your customer service. I hope you can reconcile this. If not, well maybe this will save others from the nightmare you put me through.

Office Depot Cost Me Time, Money and Business.
April 28, 2022

I need quality, environmentally friendly packing peanuts which I have been, mostly successfully, ordering through you. I would have preferred to do a store pickup for this order but this item was out of stock locally. Your website told me I could have this delivered, with a minimum dollar amount ordered, in two days. I placed an order for six bags (more than I wanted, but I had to meet that minimum) of Office Depot brand packing peanuts. I placed an order on 25 April 2022 with Next Business Day Delivery. I have included a PDF with screenshots of my order confirmation and my delivery confirmation. Neither state anywhere that I must reach out to the carrier to arrange delivery. I have received no email from the carrier, Saia, stating that I need to coordinate with them to arrange delivery.

I did not receive my order on the 27th. When I checked tracking it looked like it had never even shipped. I reached out to customer service on the morning of the 28th about this issue. After getting past the 'bot' and reaching a real person I was told this was my fault because I did not arrange delivery with the carrier. This was all the agent was capable of telling me. They could not tell me where I should have found those instructions, only that I should have done so. "Your order has shipped" in bold across the top of the shipping confirmation email I received is untrue. The exact reply I received was,"my order shipped on time but carrier advised they would need you to call for the delivery schedule." But the agent could not tell me where, when or how I was informed of this. The next replay from said agent was a copy of "Per carrier info: DELIVERY APPOINTMENT REQUIRED FOR APPOINTMENTS CALL *******7296." I did not appreciate being shouted at by text. Your agents are quite rude. Again, that agent could not tell me where that was included in ANY communication from Office Depot.

I requested a manager with authority to resolve this quickly and competently reach out to me. Twenty five minutes later Ronnett reached out to me and this was the initial replay I received. " I did manage to review your query and I am seeing that your order was not delivered to you since you did not make contact with Saia to schedule a pickup date."
I asked your supervisor to tell me where I was informed that I needed to arrange this. I was told this should have been communicated by email (It was not) and they weren't' sure I received the email. I was not informed who the email should have come from but I have no such email from Office Depot or Saia. I also do not appreciate your agents trying to make this issue my fault as it clearly is not.

I, again, asked to be connected with someone who could resolve this as I do not have time to waste. I needed my order delivered today. Ronnett informed me that they had reached out to Saia but the earliest they can deliver is tomorrow. This is unacceptable

Refund on a damaged item
November 15, 2021

Ordered a clock online with Office Depot and when it arrived I found it had scratchesand dents also the chimes sounded awful. Contacted their customer service and I was told I could return the clock to any of their stores. I clarified this three times to make sure there would be no problems since I don't have a drivers license and will have to ask a friend to drive 30 minutes away to return it. Went to the store and was informed they wouldn't take it back and give me a refund because they don't keep this item in their inventory. When I got back home I called them immediately and was told since it came from a third party I would have to send it back but they wouldn't supply me a return label without photos of the damages. While I was on the phone to them I sent photos and verified that they received them. They expedited my case but I still didn't receive a return label. Called again many times over the next several days requesting a return label which I was promised but never received. The next phone call to customer service I was told that they couldn't give me a return label due to the clock coming from a third party and they will be picking up the item with their own courier company (which I'veheard of). A time was set up and I waited all day and no one turned up so again called their customer service who rescheduled for the next day. Still no one turned up. Called yet again where they offered me $15 refund on a $76 item if I just kept it and they'd throw in a neck massage because I was so frustrated. Another day was set to pick up the clock but yet again no one turned up. Not one of these calls to customer service were located in the US. Not one phone call was even in the same country. I spoke to people in the Caribbean, Philippines and many more. There is a 14 day return policy which I know this will not be resolved by so right now I'm stuck with a damaged clock and a loss of $76. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM OFFICE DEPOT TOU WILL DEFINITELY REGRET IT!
