To stop this company you simply need to file a claim in small claims court for $3000 plus fees and costs of court. This will cause their lawyers to run raggid fighting legsl battles and will put them out of business. This approsch works perfectly when a business takes on the public like this business has.
Sue them now! Call your town for how to file. It will take apx 30 min to file.
Hi Monica! Thanks for replying in third person and again pretending you can save your worthless reputation. I like this little back and forth you're doing with me, it's getting fun. You're embarrassing yourself and trying to fight any negative criticism with even less finesse than Trump. Again sweetheart, unlisted numbers are not public record. Your arrest record is public record though; the irony. Your site's "opt-out" purposefully malfunctions. You have an extensive criminal history and while you hide behind the R. After your first name, people have come long before me and put YOUR COMPANY'S memos and employee rolls online. You have a good strategy, defiantly fighting people publicly- that'll get more subscribers! Also, spend more time learning to read, quoting the FTC about an unrelated issue is just lazy, try a little harder. Let's keep this going. Every time I respond and with more info about you and how your company operates, you fight me on here and deny everything. You're pathetic, honey.
Monica R. Has quite an extensive criminal history, funny how their site doesn't show her information but everywhere else I have found it. It seems that privacy and unlisted phone numbers are for nuwber workers and not the people they exploit. What a surprise! NO Monica, you DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT to post personal information that is not public record but info that is from the Equifax hack among others. Your website does not remove the information either while you claim that it does so. I have records of the disrespectful responses from your fellow employees, as well, it seems that going to their supervisors is the only way to get a response. I guess they were there and able to respond the entire time! You have a lovely attitude defiantly claiming your website doesn't NEED to do anything. It takes a lot of hard work too, Monica, to copy and paste the same cheap response that is on your website. Don't worry, Monica, your company won't be around much longer. You can copy and paste more responses at another data broker operating overseas soon!
Hey "Veronica P." thanks for changing your name on all the comments as if your linkedin account won't make it incredibly easy to still identify you. Keep posting those replies, defend the company and make sure to keep ignoring grammar and punctuation. I will gladly wait for your next name change on all the review replies. You better be careful what you say just to keep your job as a mouthpiece for that company.
Nuwber.com is a people-search site. They are worse than most though. They not only brag about their "right" to publish your personal information but are defiant in saying
"In a free country, a person can freely communicate true facts lawfully obtained from a public record."
And the very professional gem of a statement
"We did not need your permission to build a website."
The problem is that phone numbers are not public record, neither are email addresses or attributing false information to a person in order for their site to get more clicks. This is a stalkers dream. They claim you can "control" your information but in reality you cannot. They force you to make an account in order to get your email address and other information so that they can add it to the "profile" about you and they refuse to remove accounts. They list no phone number or physical address for their company. They only show an email that is not attended. Send them an email on any subject and they will ignore it. The email address sends automated replies to every inquiry and it is not manned by human beings. They are the lowest of the low and the sleaziest of the people search sites. They likely do not even operate in America, like many similar sites and are so confident that they operate legally that there is no way to contact them. SHUT THEM DOWN by filing a complaint with the FTC at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#&panel1-1 and with your state's attorney general or governor's consumer protection division. This site is a scam to mine for more personal data, none of which is public.
I wish the site will let you know from the start that you HAVE TO PAY to get to the info. It wastes your time thinking you will get some info but really they give you nothing you can't find yourself on the net. So I really suspect that even if you pay, you will still be able to find the same info yourself online.
This website purports to provide background information on people. I searched myself on it because I know people sometimes search the internet for my name when I apply for a job, a mortgage, etc., and I wanted to see what was provided. The information is out of date and inaccurate. The site listed a slew of people I never heard of as relatives or associates. They got the lowest level of information - cities lived in - mostly right, but left out about 50%. They listed me as a relative (of myself), so their algorithms are wonky. The site continually presents teasers, warning you that the results may be graphic and shocking, which in itself is a pretty low-rent strategy. Then they keep presenting progress bars that purport to track the uploading of data from court records, social media sites, etc. It goes on and on. At the end they ask for money to complete the process, which is not just low-rent, but a bottom feeder tactic. Legitimate web services tell you up front, or within a couple of clicks what the cost will be. Don't support these losers.
Dear Marcus,
My name is Kelly, Support manager of Nuwber, Inc.

However, taking into account the large number of such sources, the actual information can differ from the posted one.

Nuwber Support Team is available between 9 am and 9 pm EST on weekdays.
We hope we did our best to answer all of your questions. If you still need our assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us.
The inaccuracy of the information on this website is ridiculous. They list previous cities and states that I have never lived in. They list people as relatives to whom I am not related. Why, just because someone has the same last name? Bogus. The only thing they did get right was my UNLISTED, NON-PUBLIC PHONE NUMBER, which I pay the phone company to have it kept UNLISTED. Then this company which DOES NOT have the right to put out PRIVATE NON-PUBLIC information lists it on their website. And, as in other reviews, cannot get them to remove my information or any of the misinformation.

Total scam artists. I asked a question then cancelled. They continued to charge me. I contacted them again and they "cancelled" again. They are still charging me every month! Total Rip Off merchants. I went online to ask a simple question and found their site. Once I realised they were going to charge me monthly I cancelled and they confirmed it verbally on the phone. They didn't cancel it. DANGEROUS COMPANY THAT WILL RIP YOU OFF. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Hello Jim,
My name is Kelly, Support manager of Nuwber, Inc. We apologize for any inconveniences you had due to the subscription with our website.
It feels like you created two accounts accidentally, one of them was canceled, and the second one is still being charged. Please, contact us again support@nuwber.com, and we will resolve this issue.
CONTACT YOUR LOCAL NEWS STATIONS, PEOPLE NEED TO BE AWARE OF THAT ILLEGAL PRACTICE. I kept getting rude calls and some even threaten my life. I'm an actor and youtuber entertainer and an internet personality. I can't have my home address and home phone number public. I did the opt out as the website said and it did take my info off the page, But they still made it public on there internet search cache, Google said Nuwber has control of that. Do I have to be murdered first before anything is done about that website, I'm also wondering if Nuwber was involved in theft of personal info from Target and other big stores
Dear Erwin,
My name is Veronica, I am a support manager of Nuwber, Inc.
We are sorry you had any problems with Nuwber.com. We hope information provided below will be helpful.

We would like to state that we are not the initial source of the records posted, we aggregate information that is already in free access and openly circulates on the Internet. We hope this information was useful for you. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact us!
My spouse and I are trying to remove our personal information from the web. I've found out today that Nuwber sometimes makes this impossible... unless you're willing to pay them a subscription fee. (Who would be foolish enough to trust *them* with your credit card info?)
I was able to remove my spouse's info just fine. I then attempted to remove my own info. It 100% will not let me. Obviously I know how to follow the directions, since I successfully followed them to remove my spouse's stuff. But in my case- after I search for my name- I CANNOT access the profile in order to get the URL for deletion. It blocks me with a checkout page, trying to get me to subscribe! What an absolutely disgusting shakedown.
I contacted their support to see if they'll manually remove it. Waiting to hear back. But honestly, since I can't access the profile myself, how would I even know if they really remove it? I trust these people about as far as I can throw them.
Oh, and just in case you're thinking of really spending your money on Nuwber? The info they had on my spouse was majority wrong, including: listing him as "single" (we've been married almost twenty years), giving addresses of relatives and friends instead of the right ones, and associating a random neighbors' email addresses with his profile. I would say the profile was 90% incorrect.
I'm also amused at the realization that they'll certainly take the email address I used to email their support, and sell that too. Disgusting.
Hello,
My name is Kelly, Support manager of Nuwber, Inc.
We are sorry you had any problems with Nuwber.com. We hope the information provided below will be helpful.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact the website provides an easy-to-find procedure that lets users send opt-out requests in one click (https://nuwber.com/removal/link). But be attentive! You should copy the link to your page, not to the search where you see your page listed. In this case everything works in an appropriate way.
In addition, each user can contact Nuwber.com support team by phone or email. Nuwber Customer Care works for you from 9 am to 9 pm on weekdays. Such opt-out requests are honored by Nuwber.com with no exceptions. After you write us once, you will receive the confirmation email about removing your information from the website. We guarantee the deletion of information on the first request.
We aggregate the information automatically from:
1) Publicly Available Information Sources - this is information that’s available to the public. It includes addresses, street names, cities, states and ZIP codes. Other examples of publicly available information include published phone directories and information published on the Internet, such as publicly available social network profiles.
2) Third-Party Data Suppliers - information from third-party data suppliers originates from a variety of sources. It may include publicly available information, such as phone directories, as well as information from other sources.
That's why there can be some inaccurate information. However, Nuwber.com is trying to keep its database actual. The nearest update will come out in a few weeks.
We hope we did our best to answer all of your questions. If you still need our assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us.
I too was assaulted by the Nuwbar! They put all my information on the internet and SELL my information to 3rd party companies! HOW DO YOU THINK THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY?
I've tried at least 5 times to have my information deleted - opt-out. My requests was totally ignored! I think the only way to get off Nuwber is file a Law suit. Especially, if my identity is used illegally, without my permission.
Dear John,
My name is Veronica, Support manager of Nuwber, Inc.

To opt out one needs a report. To get a report seems to require payment. The public information is wrong: non existent addresses, wrong marital status and non-relatives.

Dear Rina,
My name is Kelly, I am a support manager of Nuwber, Inc. We are sorry you had any problems with Nuwber.com.
Let us clarify the way we get information posted on Nuwber from. We are not the initial source of the information online, we just aggregate information that is already in free access and openly circulates on the Internet. The sources can be thе following Publicly Available Information Sources (including social media, blogs, and self-reported information) and Third-Party Data Suppliers (such as retailers, financial services companies).

If you still have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
I see many others have issues with this website that preys on people. Most of what I could say has already been said but I will throw my number into the hat regardless.
A search website is one thing but to somehow get private information and spread it around on a whim... Very shady. I found info on myself listed on this Nuwber site that I KNOW is not public knowledge. Not sure how they got this info but I am definitely going to look into it! Scams like these need taken down. Time to turn the looking Glass around and watch the watchers!
****Did I just get 'schooled' by Kublai Khan? Sorry Khan-man (fitting yet catchy as well) but I tried the opt-out and it did nothing, and before you spout off something like "you need to contact Google after the Nuwber opt-out", I did. The info is stored in Nuwbers database, NOT Google's. But you have no fear there K-man, there are a few wrenches left to throw in this Nuwber machine. All will be well!
It is time for the Russians that run this Nuwber (and Onerep) scam from Minsk, Belarus to be called out as much as possible. Their public information needs to be spread around for the sake of transparency, as well as, how did you say it... *in heavy russian accent* for reunion and privacy purposes, whatever in hell that means. English much? ****
I'm a senior with a brain and knew that no one was going to give this info for free and it is a great marketing scam to make you wait on and on and on while it "downloads" all the great info. But for the less suspeciting user it would be nice if you told someone upfront your were going to charge $30+for the info... That is what makes your company so cheesy. Even if I really wanted that info and was willing to pay for it, the fact that you are a SCAM makes we want to PAY SOMEONE ELSE! YOU SUCK!

Shady business practices. Signed up for NUWBER 3 day trial for. 95. Was charged that AND 27.95 FOR A MONTH at the same time in 2 separate transactions.
I canceled it on 2nd day and still had to email support regarding the bait and switch charge on my VISA. Sent pictures of the transactions with time and date stamps of 2 charges.
Support emails me back next day and says they are going to credit my
DISCOVER card ending in 17**.
Interesting fact: I Do Not have a discover card!
A sure way to get out of giving me my owed refund is to say its been done only to the wrong(non existent?) DISCOVER CARD! Which Kelley from support says I paid with.
I will update this thread if I get an email reply regarding this new issue. I sent pictures again this time of my online statement showing the 2 charges.
I will uodate with NUWBER support teams answer.

Hello Linda,
We are sorry you had any troubles with our website.
As we know, you activated the full subscription by yourself in the personal settings on the website. Maybe it happened by accident.
We also would like to pay attention to the fact that we made you a full refund after your first request. The refund procedure is performed automatically, the agent cannot select a card for a refund. The money is automatically returned to the same card which was used by the client to make a payment.
If you still have any questions, please contact us, we will do our best to resolve the problem.
