I have been a happy subscriber with an annual subscription for my business since April 2021. The subscription provided me with unlimited access to the Nuwber database. The database overall is good, but it does haves a lot of missing data. For a very attractive price of the subscription compared to other services, Nuwber has provided me with the valuable information I need for my business. Having said that I am now NOT happy subscriber. On 1/9/22 my account was abruptly terminated without explanation other than an email that said "blocked by the security rules". My only "violation" was to use their service and I used it often. Naturally Nuwber would be concerned that I may appear to be an automated bot accessing their data violating "security protocols". I am an individual, not a bot, and did not use a bot. In this case "security rules" really means that I used the service too much. Nuwber has in place login verification procedures to verify that I am a true/current subscriber and not a bot. Nuwber knows my IP address. It verifies each time I log in by sending a link to my verified email address and it continues to verify that I am not a bot by challenging me periodically during use with CAPTCHA. If I were a bot, does a bot send an email to customer service asking why the account was terminated? No, bots do not do that. If concerned, Nuwber could have sent me an email inquiring about my activity. They did not. When I spoke with the rep on the phone to ask for an explanation for my termination and a reinstatement of my account, the rep would only say "sorry". Even though the representative knows that I did not violate any security protocols, other than using the service per our account agreement, all she would say was "sorry, due to security protocols". I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that there was no one higher than her. Beware that if you subscribe to the annual service, you will NOT have true unlimited access and your account may be terminated at any time if your use is deemed too high. I also discovered on top of being terminated, I was immediately charged the amount of the subscription again, even though it was not time for my annual renewal. Nuwber did say that they would refund that amount and the amount of my remaining subscription. That was still a careless mistake. Overall, I think the service is good, but the customer service is BAD. All I wanted was to continue with my subscription. In April, I would have renewed because the service has been valuable for my business. Nuwber attracts annual subscribers by saying that they provide unlimited access, but it is not true. Since Nuwber does not value their annual account subscribers, I recommend that you find another service to use. A business that breaks its agreements and operates without integrity is not a business to get involved with.
