I Just found out that Numberonemusic is fake as hell. I had told my fellow musician that i had great comments and alot of subscribers. He checked his right then, and i noticed that he had the same exact subscribers and comments from the same people that i did. We compared to be sure and everything was the same. The subscribers were mixed but the same. I sent the questions back the fans and tec support asking why they were spamming us musicians and lying. The next day my account dont exist. They were caught, and are scared to respond. These fake marketing thief's are charging musicians for memberships and fake airplays and fake fans and subscribers. Its all fake. If you have an account and you are paying for more exposure, i dare you to compare with your fellow musicians and stop getting ripped off.

First off, having run a music company for almost 25 years (The New York songwriters Circle)
This website needs much updating (Starting with an SSL Certificate) to make sure it's secure. Secondly, it's great people like and listen to your music but in order for them to BUY you music you have to Upgrade on the site for a hefty price. NOT COOL It's hard enough being a musician than having to pay a site for people to buy your music.
I've been Number one in a couple of categories for a couple of years. What does that tell you? Ever heard of me? Terry Loder. But when they have the mysterious looking girls say things like I listen to ----------- every day, when are you going to make a video or I just discovered your other song and now I can't get enough of it, I cringe. Just ask them what part of the song is their favorite or if they would like to buy a Tee shirt or anything connected to their "favorite" song and you'll get nothing. It's a well conceived con. I love to watch stings and cons on TV. So, I chuckle and send responses just to make someone at the other end in Moscow or say "uh oh. Another one figured out the con. I've never had a single follow up from a fan, including an answer to my response when they send their "message" nor has anyone ever purchased music when they ask where to go. Come on. If you send Number One Music a nickel, you will never get that much back from them. Anybody out there ever get a real reward for your songs?
Final Note: When you stop your activity, watch how they send you email suggestions with increasing frequency. (Like every day)
I am having problems uploading new music. Says I have reached my limit though I upgraded. No support whatsoever!
Myspace functipnality perfected. Stremline robust and super quick song managment features make nm1 gre at tool for artists or any recording data log and accessible world wide. Two thumbs up
I made an account on Number One Music I am just happy I did not spend a dime. I had a lot of people sending me messages about my music saying oh we like your music where can I download it etc... then one day the messages stopped and when I went to the number one music site they had deleted my account then I started doing research on them and put number one music scam on the search bar and come to find out they are number one NUMBER ONE IN SCAMMING according to several people who had paid them also said they had there account deleted blocked or suspended and also come to find out all those people that wanted to listen to your music are really bots that spam you maybe 1 to 4 are real people the rest are bots. I HOPE THEY SEE MY REVIEW I dedicate this photo to Number One Music Scam PLEASE LOOK BELOW =) =D =p
The website is FAKE they send you bots/fake messages so you can pay for their subscription do NOT pay anything to this company do NOT be fooled those messages in your email and inbox are FAKE their bots! SCAM!
For me it's a fairly good platform, features are nice. And yes, I also believe some mails or comments were from people that work for N1M, but not all. So far, it's ok for me and works as it should. Just support should be more active. This is not ideal.
Update July 20th, 2020: I actually did get some support now. This is good. It makes the platform more trustworthy.
Update 2: I don't understand the many negative comments here: I get many subscribers via this site, and I get true feedback, what pieces they like, wat kind of music I should produce more, etc. I can't imagine all those feedback email addresses are being faked. This is actually impossible as per current legislation in many countries of the world. Some people actually do buy my music, AFTER having checked me out on N1M.
And one other thing: I have friends and interested people who ask me for a link with some demos, and I often give them my N1M link, it's easy and streaming quality is good. There's a separate volume slider within the player. So, very definitely, this site is NOT a total fraud, not for me. It's actually what you make out of it.
I got really excited a bout uploading my own songs to n1m and particularly when they reached number one spot for a consecutive three weeks. However things changed dramatically when I inadvertently broke a rule of reviewing other people's songs and publishing that on fb, my phone was struggling to download data in general so I deleted the fb reviews. I was immediately without warning issued with a withdrawal of Review and Earn feature, which virtually stopped me from promoting my own songs. I also got some strange messages from so called other artists suggesting certain things I should do to promote my songs but all of these suggestions needed me to upgrade to a Premium payable subscription. Other genuine artists soon started to tell me of their own concerns and after a number of years they were now leaving. Even though I apologised for my innocent error the admin refused to change their feature withdrawal and wouldn't enter into conversation with me and even editing/deleting my updates to 200 members following me
There's no support on this site. Once you sign up you can never delete your account. Beware! If you join you're on it forever and they off no help. You'll be completely on your own.
Like most other people I don't trust this site, just upload your freebies DO NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING, stick to SoundCloud, I do believe your music gets listened to but that's about it, about a year ago I spammed a message asking all my followers to respond with a quick message as I'd heard it was s Russian scam site, I got shut down and when I tried to find myself on their site, I never existed, make what you will if it, do not pay for it, then do yourself a favour go to SoundCloud
I just joined the platform so several days ago. So far, no problems. I don't expect to sell anything on it. I found it odd that someone contacted me about it.
Founder, Ceo, Artist of Perseverance Llc an independent record label out of Colorado Springs. A force to be wreckon with, also just signed to Supa Unit Savagelife Records. Be on the look out as Spliff G puts Colorado Springs on the map.
Don't pay them anything. Just google and find all the warnings. They have fake fans (with stolen pics) inviting you to signup. Unbelievably heartless.
They just caancel my account cause i said thet there is no double blincoins in my diamond member as should, keep away, i was 1st in a lot of caategories but its just aa toy site dont go there
It appears to be a pyramid scheme... the website is always asking you to log on an update by using actual currencies.
Professional scammers. Be wary of them. Do not send them any money. Avoid like plague. Russian site, everything is fake.
My name is alpha blacks, but from since last night I cant find my email, I just cant get into my page. Its like I have been locked out of it
So basically as far as I'm concerned, there are hundreds of sites for musicians to upload their music too, most of them want to get money off you, I don't pay for any of them because if I did I would be in serious debt, hang on that's not entirely true, I do pay Tunecore around $48 a year to distribute an album on iTunes Spotify etc, although I always make a loss but I keep paying as it helps my Google rankings. As soon as I uploaded 3 tunes on N1M I knew it was a scam as I was getting loads of feedback as to how good my songs were, it was so obvious fake messages asking how can we purchase your music or have you got any merch LoL, I always reply with a message saying that I can make a personalized signed cd but have never had a reply. However saying that when I check the chart position of my songs they do seem to be genuine, however all my songs on N1M music are bootleg remixes and I've just informed the copyright owner of my chart positions so hopefully Sony Music will have something to say about N1M. Zapp Royce.
Don't do this for the money. You will be disappointed. Do it for love. Good easy to follow and I like this business model.
Answer: Because it's true, they're not a legitimate site. I'm experiencing the same things these people are! Now I don't feel so bad about what they did to me! I don't have time to tell you everything I experienced, but, for one thing, I tried to change my e-mail address to a more convenient address, then suddenly, my site completely disappears! I'm sure hoping they aren't trying to steal my authorships to my songs. They wouldn't get very far with my songs anyway. I have them copyrighted in my name in the Library of Congress. I can get an attorney if I see this happening.
