The rods came and look heavy duty, I still am awaiting the brush which was sent 11 days ago and has been hung up in UPS due to snow storms and a flood of Christmas packages. It is supposed to be out for delivery today. I am eager to try it because my chimney needs to be cleaned.

I should have done more research as I have an efficient wood burning fireplace with the air tight doors, I don't believe it is designed for a grate. We ordered a bottle of Stove Scents "winter garland" to try in our steamer on top of our wood burning stove. We put 4 drops in the steamer before leaving the house for a few hours. Expecting to smell the scent when we returned, we were disappointed to notice no change in the smell of the house. Apparently the steamer doesn't get hot enough to release the fragrance. It didn't work for us..
