I have tried to get direction on how to exchange and item for something else - product did not fit well so would like to have the high-waist version. I finally received information on how to return but nothing on the exchange aspect of things. I have no idea whether the new item will come. It cost me $21 to return the original item and no guarantees of the exchange and might have to pay the $5 restocking fee. I have not been able to get a proper response from the company and have not been able to talk to a person. Even if the exchange comes through, I don't know whether it will fit.
I ordered pants and was quite eager to get them. They took much longer to get then I was expecting, as they were shipped from China. When I received them, I was happy with the material and I'm sure they would have been very high quality, but the fit was not good. They were huge around the waist, ( the waist band sat out a good 2" and they puckered at the hips. Then when I went to return them, I found out there was a 5.00 restocking fee and I had to pay to ship them back.
The jacket is great, the only thing is I wish the women's jacket had similar pockets to the men's version.
I knocked off a star as I emailed their customer support in December and have still not heard anything back.
I was pleased with the order experience, the pants were a Christmas gift for my son but I did order the wrong size and he will need to exchange to a 34 instead of a 36. He lives in Toronto and is on his way back there and will contact you to see about an exchange of size.

Great materials and good design for the most part. The rise of the pants are little short, which seems counterintuitive for an our pant where you need some stretch and give. The rest of pant is built that...just not the rise which is weird.
I was very happy to receive my pants, unfortunately they did not fit.
The hips were to big, the length was perfect and the waist was perfect.
I sent them back and I am waiting for a message to tell me you received them.
These pants are super comfortable and appear to be quite durable. But, I waited an awfully long time for them to arrive and the pants are quite low waisted. They look warm but when you bend over... oof! A cold breeze at the back!
And unfortunately it's way too expensive to return them! (Note to self: "easy return doesn't mean free return")
Product, once delivered, was good. Information from Northbound Gear about delivery status was poor. Email from supplier said product was ready for delivery on Nov 27 but in fact was not delivered until Dec 22. I called Northbound Gear contact number twice and left voicemails and emailed twice and left request for information on delivery but no one got back to me. I can understand delivery delays during holiday season but not the failure to respond to the "contact us" on their website - very disappointed in that.
I placed an order awhile back and have not received it. I have tried to call and email the business and no person has responded. Canada Post has not received any packages from the company.
Not impressed and I am sincerely hoping that this company is legitimate and that I didn't get screwed over!
I purchased a jacket and the adventure pants online. Pics of the clothing look great online.
Delivery time was just over 3 weeks. Quite long for shipping these days. For reference Northbound is a Canadian company and I live on the West coats of Canada. I put up with the delivery time…I'm a patient person.
Unfortunately the clothing disappoints.
The jacket isn't very warm and I find the wind goes right through. The zippers are a complete let down. On the website there are pics or YKK zippers but the ones on the clothing are off brand and terrible. I fight and curse with the jacket every single time I try to zip it up.
I've been wearing it daily for a week and I'm already looking for a replacement.
I don't recommend either the jacket or the pants.
The contact with the customer service was always cordial and positive. But that can't make up for the weeks and weeks it took to receive the item initially, and to exchange it for a replacement. On two legs, the item sat for for to six days without moving! I was advised that it might take up to three weeks for an item to be delivered. In this day and age, that seems absurd! Shipping needs to be reworked!
The customer service was slow. Only when I truly lost my patience did they show signs of caring. Shipping was very very slow, I mean sloooowwww.The pants. They are comfy, not the best but comfy. I wish they had put more thoughts into the over all design and more pockets. They feel like sweat pants and I don't k own why people say they cover the wind well because I clearly feel wing blowing through the pants. So I am not happy at all.

First one the product (Adventure water resistant pants) is a good quality at least now ( I use this one just couple weeks). But delivery took almost month although I live in Canada. Customer service mislead about price policy on the Black Friday...I did order 10 days before Black Friday, before to do the order I sent email to the company about coming soon Black Friday and got unfair information ( I could wait 10 days and got 25% discount on all stuff).
Never received order. Contacted northbound and they said they sent a new order but not what I originally order because they were out of stock. Never received that order either. I give them no stars but it will not let me!
I had a delivery issue during the holidays when I reached out directly I never received a response. The item finally arrived and I was very happy with it but disappointed in the lack of communication when I had a problem.
Easy to navigate and the checkout process is very easy!
We have ordered the wrong size, unfortunately different countries around the world use different size measurements. The trousers looked great and we are keeping our fingers crossed the larger size will be arriving soon.
I previously had the summer adventure trousers and decided to try the winter. The few times I have worn them now I have been very pleased. The fleece is especially warm and comfortable.
I was very disappointed to find that I could not return my item unless the tags were still secured to the pants.
They were a gift and the tags were removed. The pants were never used but your policy says that it will not accept returns if the tags are removed.
I ordered a pair of water-resistant pants to wear in Iceland in the winter; with a nice pair of relatively thick tights on, these kept me warm. However, the size 12 was quite a bit too large for me, and I had to borrow a belt to keep them from falling down1

Answer: So far the evidence is that it is a scam. Ask me in a year and maybe it will have arrived in time for next hiking trip.
