Northbound Gear

I ordered two pairs of pants, one for myself and one for my partner. My partners pair fit fine. Mine did not. They gapped at the back when sitting and pulled in tight across my stomach. The fabric is great, but it was the cut. When I went to return them, I had to pay for shipping- $31.00 from Ontario plus a $5 restocking fee. I live in a rural area and the shopping in stores is not great, so I took a chance. I lost.

I found the sizing to be correct and the pants are warm and comfortable. They are only water resistant for sure. We live on the wet west coast and in a recent snow storm, wherever my coat touched the pants, the moisture penetrated. Other than that, they have become my go to for indoors and out.

Shopping was easy, shipping pretty fast. Pants are comfortable, very good in the wind, look good, and are well made. They are a little long, and the pocket zippers creep open with movement, but overall pleased with them!

I was surprised to learn that the goods were manufactured in China not Canada. Your website needs to be clear about this as I buy Canadian!

Easy to order but the size ran small for me. Ordered the same size as a previous item that fit, but this one was a lot smaller. I don't remember what they were called but they were lightweight waterproof black pants.

I have not received my purchase yet. I ordered black pants but they were out of stock so I had no choice but to order the grey ones and still have not received them. So far I am underwhelmed with my experience. I am an outdoors person and would have probably been a loyal customer but I'm not sure now.

The only issue I have is the long time for delivery. Great product and site is easy to navigate. Size appropriate and material is perfect for the range of weather conditions in the Fall and early spring months. Would like better in interior had a closed pocket for phone.

Out of the box these pants were a perfect fit and incredibly comfortable. I haven't field tested them yet but looking at the quality of the construction I think they will do great. I live in the mountains of Utah so they will be great for winter peak bagging

Gave the Adventure Pants as a gift and got a second pair two weeks later great for Mountain Biking, Aftivities, Work and Leisure in the Northwoods Cold and Snow. Do become warm once temps break above 40 with long activity. Next up … Summer Pants. Will soon only own these pants. Men's pants size may be a little larger, measure to size.

I find it pathetic to take almost a month to received my belt. It's my second order from Northbound and probably be the last until they provide free faster shipping. I love thé item purchased but they need to do much better in the shipping issue

Of the products I ordered one was really nice, but the return process has been less than thrilling. They have a ridiculous "restocking" fee and it cost me 50 dollars to ship the return back to them. I have still not seen a refund on the rest of the money. I took a gamble on a Canadian company and I am regretting it. I desperately wanted to like this product and experience.

Experience so far is they are definitely warm, went for a 500 kms ride in the country on my motorbike on a 10 degree C day kept me warm enough to be comfortable haven't tested the waterproof out yet. My opinion on fit is they are a bit on the big size, they are definitely comfortable, Kevlar added will definitely be a hit with fellow bikers

I ordered 28 x 29 inches and they fit very well. The pants are beautifully made and easy to move in. Be patient! It took about a month from the day I ordered them for them to arrive. The supplier has a practice of printing a shipping label when the order is made, and the shipper contacted me with an initial delivery date of about a week from the day I ordered. That date was later cancelled by the shipper and no new date was provided before they showed up. I suggest the supplier works out a new practice so that the customer doesn't perceive the shipment as late.

Ordering was easy but shipment was delayed and I did not get follow up information in a timely manner on the status of shipment. I need to return the item but I can't find the info online and I sent an email with a question and no one has gotten back to me.

I made 2 orders in 2 days. The second order got here in 2 weeks, but the pants were way too small even though that same size fits in other brands. I had to pay the postage for the exchange. Still waiting for that to show up. The first order took a month to arrive. I checked in by phone twice but got not-so-great service and no follow up. I checked again by email and that was better with good follow up. I ordered a size too large and they fit okay. The legs are perfect but the butt and waist are loose. I'll keep them and use a belt. Don't think I'll buy here again.

My pants are good but I thought they would have the reinforced knees. I didn't realize that's only on the men's, which makes no sense, but my fault for not noticing it. I already had two pairs of these that had been a gift but wanted the reinforced knees because of the work I do.

I got my new Apex Jacket on a day of freezing rain. Since I already had my "Adventure" pants on I decided to give both a good try. I spent an hour walking in freezing rain on trails that went through meadow and bushland. I came back comfortably dry and warm. Thank you for your excellent products!
