I've got Nextiva phones set up across 12 locations around the country and plan to switch my 4 other offices over the next 8 months. Nextiva is a much better phone system and management solution than our old system. Each store used a separate local carrier and we routinely had issues. Now that everyone is on the same system - Nextiva - it is managed from our head office here in Orlando. I can look into each store's network if I have to. Switching to Nextiva is the best thing we could've done.

5 stars because for doing over 3000 faxes a month, you simply cannot beat the price of $30/month. Other places will charge you much more if you break the 1000 barrier and they make money off of people doing low volume. If you want to do high volume faxing, those other services just cost too much. Nextiva doesn't have all of the robust feature of other faxing companies like viewing your faxes without downloading them, etc but in the end those features are not worth the higher price anyways.

Nextiva provides flexibility in multiple ways. Make and receive calls anywhere! Excellent support. Reporting features that provide a detailed overview, as well as let you drill down to focus on the statistics down to the smallest detail. Nextiva is the best tool I have for managing my crew.

Explosion!

I was using a free talk and text program when I first started my business. Since I've switched to Nextiva, my business has exploded! I was happy to get in touch with 10 clients a day. Now I average 25 contacts each day. I am so happy I switched. Not only am I able to contact more clients, but with the note features, I can keep notes electronically rather than writing everything down. I'm a member for life.

I run a small retail business and have had Vonage for 5 years, but after the recent fiasco with their technical support restructuring, I decided to try Nextiva. Beware. Your business phone system is very critical to your success and having unreliable VOIP service must be avoided. These are my biggest complaints about Nextiva after one month with their service:
1. The service is reliable, but if you want too use your mobile device to receive calls on their app, forget it. Calls immediately drop when answering from my phone with the Nextiva App. Several resets and other time wasting calls to support did not resolve this serious flaw.
2. The Nextiva app does not offer distinct ring tone, so both incoming personal and business calls have the same ring. Vonage offers distinctive ring tones, which I really miss.

I guess I'll be returning to Vonage since I've experienced too many dropped calls. I must add that Nextiva support is awesome, far better than Vonage. The problem lies with their dropped calls and inability to resolve this technical issue.

I've been with Nextiva for over 10 years, mainly because switching providers seemed overwhelming. The time and effort required to port numbers, reconfigure phones, and set up attendants felt like too much of a hassle. However, after years of frustration, I've finally decided it's time to make the change. Their phone application is horrendous, customer support is severely lacking, and their reliance on a third-party service for campaign registry is absurd. I've been unable to get text messaging approved, even though we only use it for customer communication, not marketing. Other major providers can handle these approvals in under three business days, but not Nextiva. If you're considering them, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere—you'll thank me later.

We started our service with Nextiva July 1st. They somehow "forgot" to route the calls from our business number to the phone number they assigned me, so I received ZERO calls for the 1st 6 hours of the workday - I had to call a customer I was friends with to call and troubleshoot the issue for me because their CS people would call the number and, once they heard the menu message, said it worked fine, but it wasn't until someone actually pushed a menu option that the issue was discovered. This was our FIRST day with Nextiva! I don't know if it could be any more unprofessional.

Since then, I've had to sign in and out of the app anywhere from 3-8 times about every other day just to be able to receive calls; they drop or fail constantly, both through the phone app and the desktop app. When I've called to have them troubleshoot, they'd open a ticket then close it without ever providing me a resolution. I've had to waste hours at a time during my workday (which means I can't take calls from our customers or make calls to them during that time) to "fix" these ongoing issues just to be met with "uh, I don't know why you're having that problem" or "let me try this" only to have nothing resolved. I'm also not getting all the voicemails that people leave. This has caused my job to become exponentially harder to do on a daily basis. We're coming up on 3 months of service with them with over half of that time receiving sub-par service.

Hired them and trusted sales person Hoffman she said just call me if anything we will fix that for you. We signed the contract, spent 100 hours on the phone, did training - result no service - numbers, phones - nothing connected and they demand $4000 to cancel contract. I understand that you need to make money - but good ethics is a must in business in US - not fair business practise is illegal. Also security measures are designed to drive people crazy not protect you. Local business inspection of business practise is requested. I am sure there is ton of customer with similar experience.

Nextiva charged me and they didn't activate my numbers for weeks no body answers or called me I tried to contact them many times. And after weeks I made a contract with another company. After one month they send me email saying they are charging me almost full amount of yearly contract for services never activated! This is a scam! Stay a way from Nextiva!

This system is incredibly frustrating – it's broken down over three times in the past six days. When we call, it takes them over an hour to answer. Interestingly, new customers get a response within a minute. The management seems neglectful towards existing customers. Despite assurances, the issues persist, wasting time with no resolution. Working with this company has been the worst experience, and I wish I could give them a -100 star review. Unfortunately, that's not possible.

Ordered the fax service. Worked fine. But when I tried to cancel fell into Nextiva Customer Service Hell. They ignored my cancellation email which was sent timely exactly per their instructions. They billed my card anyway.

They will not respond to emails sent
It takes hours to get through on phonelines
Then you get bounced around from one "department" to another

Ironic for a "communications" company to have such dismal communications.

I have reported them for fraudulent business practices and filed a fraud claim with my bank.

Our 800 number was ported over to Nextiva smoothly with no interruption in service. Support has been helpful, especially when I wanted to block a couple of nuisance numbers. Best of all Im saving on my bill every month. The app is awesome too because it shows my office number on caller ID when I call from my cell. I love Nextiva!

Signed up mainly for the toll free number but then found all the other amazing functions and loved it. Switching to a different package was easy and managing account online is a pleasure. We've never had any tech or account issues. It just flows freely. Glad to be a Nextiva customer.

I’ve used Nextiva for my company phone and fax service since Nov. 2011. Rate is excellent and I don’t have any issues with dropped calls, and faxing (incoming or out-going) has improved (I had lots of issues with the previous company). I have cable and Nextiva took less than 20 minutes to set up. I ported my number but they gave me a temporary number to use meanwhile.

The answer is always the same - nothing compares to Nextiva in terms of product quality and service excellence. I called Nextiva with a question and they answered by the second ring. The agent spent time listening to my question and then proceeded to offer a number of possible options for me to choose from. I received an email from him with more information shortly after, and again a couple days later to ensure I was happy with the change. I like how easy the system is to use, despite all the many products, services and features offered, and it's really reliable to.
