NetworkSolutions Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is marked by a stark divide in customer experiences. On one hand, some clients commend the quality of specific services, particularly in web design and SEO assistance, highlighting instances of exceptional customer support. However, a significant number of reviews reveal persistent issues, including slow response times, inadequate technical support, and billing disputes, which contribute to a growing sense of frustration among long-term users. Overall, while there are positive interactions, the prevailing sentiment underscores a troubling decline in service quality and reliability, prompting many customers to seek alternatives.

Thanks to everyone for posting their bad experiences with Web.com. After seeing their TV commercial, I thought about hiring them to build my company facebook page. After reading the horror stories, forget it!

Stay away from this site
December 27, 2014

Stay away from this site. Big riff off. They steal your credit card information while buying any logo and later after some times, they start charging the card $9.99 every month.

No way to cancel the card from the site and no email communication from them.

I had them build a small business site for me back in the summer. They were horrible first of all they gave my number to third party companies and they called me night and day. They when I wanted to cancel the site it took me three times before they finially removed the site. I told them I didn't need it anymore but they keep making excuses for me to keep it.And finially one day I called and got a good person who finially removed the site. But I ended up having to change my number because they gave it out to other companies. This site stinks! And it cost way to much for sites that are not built that great.Don't bother with them.

I signed up to $2.95/month. It wasn't long before I was being hit with $39.25/MONTH. I WISH I HAD SEEN THESE REVIEWS FIRST. I went to cancel through my login and of course they make it very difficult for you to cancel. I tried to cancel via message to support as I am in Australia. Guess what they didn't reply until my credit card had been charged again. Then they told me that I had to call the office in Florida. What a drama that was. I spent the best part of half an hour being pushed from one customer service rep to another. They finally cancelled my account and I now have a long wait to see if they charge my account next month. STAY AWAY FROM THESE IDIOTS

They are building a website for me. The web site is not ready yet, I am working with the reps about the design. Within this period two billing errors happened. First of all they charged me the full price for the building the web site service although the agreement was half upfront another half after it is posted. I contacted them and they corrected that mistake. After they charged my card for the online marketing $55 and mobile website maintenance $5.95. These fees are for an active website that is posted online. I contacted them several times asking to correct the charge explaining that my website is not posted is not online. They said that someone will take care of that. But the charge is still there. By the way it is very hard to reach them. Whenever you call the billing department they never answer and ask you to leave a message and of course no one calls back.

The television ads for Web.com could not be anymore MISLEADING! The website they designed for me was the equivalent of a third grade art project that you'd see on a fridge; something only the parents could appreciate. I tried changing the junk they produced for me but Web.com's web design tools are terribly limited and the customer service is even worse. It's really a lose lose situation. If you're on a budget and want to build a website yourself with some decent web design tools, Wix is a way better alternative. The customer service is pretty spotty, but at least their tools are easier to use and more flexible. If you're willing to spend just a little more and want someone to do it for you, Set My Site is probably the better way to go. They actually have real web designers and give you your own dedicated account manager - you can actually talk to the same person over the phone when you need something. There's some other options too like Squarespace, but honestly, anything is better than Web.com. And don't let them sell you a domain name either. I bought mine from them for $35 when I could have got it from GoDaddy for $12 (which I now have done after their annoying transfer process). Web.com is seriously the worst in so many areas. Save yourself the time, hassle and money!

This business has a 47% negative rating with its own customers, they think that's a good rating is Mitch Romney running this company, they let there employes use you credit card as they wish, years ago the baby bells would add things to your account and just put in on your credit card and would act as though it's you problem and when finally get them they offer you have, my awnswer to that is bull$#*!! By them allowing there employees to do that, is giving them there approval, there fore they should pay, some person MJ promised someone call but I am no going to take this

This is a horrible business. They make crazy charges to your account! I think they even charged me for closing my account and i'm not completely sure that they won't charge me in the future for some unknown reason.

Charged me $9.95 one year after I bought 99 cent logo, without so much as a warning email beforehand or a email receipt when they did it. Cust Svc person agreed to give me refund (I thought). However two days later I got email that my request was denied for refund.
I cancelled the service with Cust Svc person, but I can see from reading the reviews below that the best thing I can do is cancel the credit card completely.

DO NOT USE LOGOYES.COM!

I purchased a logo for $0.99 and I was charged $9.95. I had to file against them and get a new card. Choose some other website and do reviews on them. I learned the hard way.

I dealt with 2, apparently separate, divisions of web.com. I started with their entry level program where you get a domain name and assemble your own website for publication. This part of the service seems to be a reasonable value to me. I signed up. I created my site. My site went live and was published. So far so good.

However, almost from the day I signed up, the marketing side of web.com started efforts to get me to upgrade to a more substantial fee/service. I finally agreed, with the understanding that they would build on the website I had already created. Within hours, my website disappeared. Their explanation was that I couldn't expect two websites (the one I built, and the one they were building) to operate at the same time. Fair enough! But once I paid them the larger fee NEITHER was operating. They said they couldn't work on my site with it still up. I couldn't understand this, since I could work on updating the content offline and then publish the updates and changes, without taking down the site AND using THEIR services.

In the end, I have gone back to the basic program and republished MY website. I have cancelled their more advanced program, whatever it was. It appears that once you surrender your self-created site, they take control and give you the site THEY want, without regard to your wishes.

I did get a credit, reasonably quickly, for the services I cancelled. Others have given very negative reviews on this subject, I find. When I signed up, it took only minutes to charge my account. Getting the credit took several emails and several phone calls, but not horrible.

As to the basic service, once you get to anything marginally advanced, such as dealing with the SEO options, very little guidance is provided, at least on-line. I am supposed to have 30 minutes of free SEO support available, but have not tried to access it yet. So... we will see about that.

Overall, I would give the basic program a 3+. When it comes to the more advanced marketing, I was completely underwhelmed. It really seemed as though the two sides of the operation had no communication or connection between them.

I hired web.com for an online advertising campaign because the sales rep boasted about their "guaranteed" results, claiming there was no risk because my monthly budget ($1,000.00 month) would only be used if I generated tracking number phone leads or contact request forms through the lead generation page that they created ($500.00 set up fee). The rep "guaranteed" me 12-24 leads per month for my monthly budget of 1,000.00. Well $5,500.00 later I have had 25 contacts, most of which are from solicitors. They continued to bill my credit card after both my sales rep and account rep agreed their would be no further charges unless I approved it. My account rep and sales rep have both told me there is no refund options at all; not even for the money that was taken that was unauthorized. When I asked about their "guaranteed results" I was told that "we don't tell people that anymore because of problems like this". I would never recommend this company to anyone. The entire experience has been stressful and very expensive. I am shocked that a business that treats their clients like this is still in operation.

Made the big mistake and signed up for the 50cents a month offer with the domain moondozer.com then got no login email and no response to my support emails. And they charged me $14.95 instead of the advertised 50cents. They cannot be contacted and won't respond to my emails. Very unprofessional - steer clear.
