Saved the day!
February 20, 2021

We were in a serious pinch, and Napa provided us with assistance above and beyond their regular call of duty. Renewed my faith in humanity!

I know who Shelly Anderson is talking about in the business in Grayling, who balks at doing any extras for you! I, too would give the company NO stars, if I could!... Anyways, as to the NAPA company, itself, BEWARE of the sales that advertise 20% off. It is NOT 20% off of everything as they lead you to believe. After 4 months of constantly writing to and calling the company to find out about how these sales work and to complain about the way it is a scam for consumers, the company never responded except to tell me to call them, which I did and got no where. I will take my business elsewhere as they scam and do not give customer service. (One telephone agent actually told me, it is like a scam!) After I purchased hundreds of dollars last time, expecting it to be 20% off and it was not, I was very disappointed. So, BEWARE! Ask about the price of each and every item when you purchase at these sales there.

I ordered two products separately online which was no problem. Then when I got my credit card notification of charges, the amount was way over the actual purchase price. When I called to find out why they said 'they're just pending charges, when you pick up and process the order for check out at the store' the correct price will go to the card in about two business days'. What kind of bs is that. The purchase price on the order is what should show up on the credit card, pending or not. How can they have any random amount they want sent for processing to a card. Just make sure if you do order online that you check to make sure the order price on your invoice/receipt is what was charged. I don't have time for this nonsense of having to keep going back to my card to make sure it gets billed right.

Horrible process (or lack thereof) to return items to recapture the vastly inflated core charges that are charged upon initial order. One would think that for items requiring return of core, there would be an auto generated process that provides both a return authorization as well as an address and/or shipping label. The only option is to call them, but I do not have time or patience to have to phone them to effect a process that should simply be accomplished online. I will no longer do business with them.

Just bought a drive shaft hanger bearing for my truck. I needed it, the garage had it disassembled w/truck on their lift. I figured the part would be about 40-50 buck bases on Rock Autos price of 15 including shipping. Total price $77.82 Same Made in China. Theirs was an SKF bearing, Rocks is a Timkin bearing. Sold my grandson a poor battery and wouldn't replace it after a few months. They said because it froze! The battery wouldn't hold a charge so it froze easily. They have no compassion for their clients, only care about profits. Poor outfit! Don't go there!

Fraud
October 24, 2020

Employee, Ryan is the kind of employee that gives you legal problems. He verbally accosted my wife. I wouldn't waste my time with NAPA. They've always been overpriced for low end items. I ended up here after the Keizer branch took our money and lost our order.

In this case, I bought an item and the place wouldn't get it to me until a lawyers name was dropped. Called fraud guys. If I by a part and your company won't deliver the item that's a problem. Paying for the item and having you tell us you can't see the purchase and won't give us our parts with proof of purchase is fraud.

Let's see where this goes. I smell a bill from Nissan at your door

I ordered a part for my car at Napa online. The transaction was easy and seamless. That was the easy part. When I got notification that my part was at the store I went in to pick it up. To my surprise the salesman asked if I'd already paid for the part. When I showed him the confirmation email from Napa and the charge to my card online he said he couldn't find a copy of the order in his system. But the part was there with an online receipt. He could not let me leave the store with the part. So I left the store without the part. When I called Napa customer service they're only offer to fix the problem was to delete the transaction and have me go through it all over again. No thanks!

Car cover
September 24, 2020

I ordered a blue car cover through napa online, when it arrived it was not blue but gray! This is false advertising, you need to update your web page if this is an error on your part.

Holy heck. They suck.
September 16, 2020

Every time I go in they act like they just want to go home, since they are so pathetic they don't even make sure they are giving me the right parts. Fuel pump-wrong, alternator-wrong, belts- I don't know yet because I have to keep running back to switch out parts. I'm not going there anymore, I've never written a bad review but these guys are the worst I've ever seen. Go to a different NAPA or just a different part store goodness.

The shipment was late, and when I got the box, they only shipped the socket and NONE of the 6 spark plugs I ordered! My car needs new spark plugs asap so every hour delayed has a significant effect. Called customer service, the customer rep was extremely rude! Asked for a manager, she transferred me to a line that just rang forever. Second one I talked to said there is nothing they can do. WTF? Seriously, do not buy from this place!

Fuel injector for chevy v6 had bent pin causing miss from day installed. NAPA store on cf hawn freeway in seagoville tx refused to warranty 2 yr old part with 3 year warranty... said i should've come back sooner. Same store sold fuel pump for classic roadrunner that didn't last 50 miles. NAPA quality control in the toilet these days.

Never order online!
August 27, 2020

I placed an order for 2 NAPA Response shocks online for in store pickup. The items were ready quickly and the price listed plus tax was reasonable. I decided to check my bank information for a deposit made that morning and saw the amount removed from my account was over $13.00 more that the sale total. There is no one at NAPA you can call other than the store manager you are doing business with. I spoke with him and he said it must be a charge from your bank. I verified the charge at my bank and it was indeed from NAPA. I cancelled the order and a credit was issued to my bank for the exact amount so it was in fact from NAPA. Guess they didn't plan on me checking my bank information. I wonder how many times others have been charged the additional amount and didn't know? I will not do business with this company without verifying the charges from here on out.

Dead battery
August 22, 2020

I purchssed a new battery ("legend") at the Eden Prairie MN shop and it lasted about 12, months before failing to hold a charge. I brought it in, it was tested, and I was given a new replacement battery. My take-away is that things happen, but what's important is how a business responds. They responded with good service. I'll be back.

Ordered some air filters online with a company credit card as a guest on their website. Didn't set up an account since I so rarely do business with them. Called and emailed customer service to try to get a copy of the invoice for the order. After speaking with several reps, I was routed back to the original number I called to ask for some help. Apparently nobody in accounts receivable is responsible for helping customers with these problems. Pass the problem on to someone else appears to be the way they operate. Utterly worthless. One star is one too many.

I bought a premium battery for my waverunner. It was kept on a battery minder when not in use. The battery would not hold a charge after 2 years. I bought it at Napa in southern Oregon while on vacation. I took it to the Napa on Columbia Blvd in Portland. They told me they only honored warranty of stuff bought at their. No more business with them

I'm lucky. NAPA has real professionals on site for both parts and service.
I like to work on my own cars but send my wife's car to NAPA for most work. In Los Alamos NM there are a few good part stores with competitive prices, NAPA is often the most competitive. There are also several garages that do work, and NAPA is the one I trust most. When I work on my own cars I can trust NAPA to get me the right parts, do some of the work, like remove the outer bearings on my '64 Corvette rear spindles and when they service my wife's car to do the work right and never over charge. Very lucky to have NAPA in my town.
