I was thrilled with this selection of wine, and I was so excited to make my first order. However, their poor customer service has total disregard for their customers. I never get the chance to try the high-quality wines I ordered. They partnered with FEDEX and a signature was required for the delivery. I emailed nakedwides and called over 10 times FedEx to leave instructions for the driver to give me a call upon arrival. Also, I tried to have them held for pick-up. At the end the box was returned to the sender - nakedwines.
Nakedwines have responded to my numbers of complaints saying they recommend me to contact FedEx.
I have ordered previously from online vendors and I will continue but never from Nakedwines. This has been the worst experience and my issue is still not been resolved.
Disgraceful that I ordered red only wine but the order went through as mixed and despite me questioning it straight away, no one was "available" to talk to me. Then within another 30 minutes they processed the order. Am furious. Will refuse delivery.
Years ago, I ordered cases of good wine, and I referred many friends. Recently, the quality of wine has dropped. I have received 3 bottles of wine that have turned. I decided to cancel my subscription and I received a nice email from the CEO, saying that my balance would be refunded. After weeks and 6 different contacts with Customer Service, there has been no refund. They went from a good company to a bad one. Beware.
I ordered their so called 1 x Premium Cellar Clearance Red Dozen
Even $10 or less wines would probably be better than the wine I received. Super disappointed and never going to order again from them. I can understand that some would be good and some bad, but all bad? Very disappointed. Better to go to Dan Murphys and get $15 x 12 bottles. Much better quality you will get. No wonder these wine makers are selling online as no suppliers will get them. Only plus point is that I supported these "poor" winemakers at my expense.
I last did business with this company in 2021 and removed what I thought was all future charges from this company. Two years later, I receive a credit card charge from this company. I tried to contact them to cancel the order, and it took them over two days to respond to me. In the meantime, the wine had shipped. Do not purchase anything from this company. They are not upstanding!
I placed an order with a voucher I was sent which offered me a saving of £80. A couple of hours later I received an email from a very rude person called Emma who was informing me that as I already have an account (I don't) she had cancelled my order. They seem to use this voucher offer to do nothing more than gather email addresses. I have received 2 emails already from them with more 'great offers' Avoid this company and go with a more trustworthy and reliable bsuiness who will not be rude to you.
Do not, I repeat do not, buy from this company blindly. Apparently my fiancé and I got swindled into buying all their $#*!tiest wines cause it was a "promotional rate" not knowing anything about this company. We were looking to find a good wine to buy in bulk for our wedding in October and got what we thought was a coupon after purchasing the engagement ring. Man were we fooled. Not a single wine that was even close to the sweet scale. I mean it was hard to down these after 5 shots of crown it was that bad. Anyways. Thank you naked wines for the false hope and loss of $200. Now we have another 18 bottles we will never drink and 6 opened bottles in the fridge that will go in the sink.
I got one box but decided it wasn't worth it, then canceled my subscription to Wine Genie. Naked Wines decided to get clever and sign me up a $40/month "deposit" that I never asked for. I called to ask what's going on and the lady argued with me, saying I'd actually signed up for it (but just wasn't aware that I had done so). What a scam. I canceled again and got a refund.
Tried this service for kicks. Was hoping it would live up to its promise and marketing. A select few of the wines were fair, but most were underwhelming and undrinkable. If you've spent time drinking wine in the great wine regions and usually gravitate to the high quality wines, this will deeply disappoint you. It's worse than most supermarket wines. Think Yellowtail. These are NOT premium 50-100 diollar bottles that earn their price tag.
Wanted to give this company a try and never got the package. Not sure if it was never shipped or got lost but other than the tracking#, there's no additional information they can provide. Reading through reviews, this seems to be a common issue so I think it's just the way they handle orders.
Don't order they send in their words " cooked" wine it smells bad taste even worse. Go to the local liquor store... that's what they told me to do after I complained about the case of awful vinegar they sent to Mr.
Never ever ever ever order from these con artists. No matter what free voucher you were given, this site is meant to sign you up for a membership service that charges you monthly to basically hold onto your money until you're ready to order from them again. They barely give you any notice on the site that they are signing you up for this program. Super shady, and the wine sucks anyways. 0/10 stay away
They keep charging my credit card even after I canceled my account months ago. This will be the second time I am having my credit card company chargeback the $105 they keep charging me. I'm going to ask them to block them completely since they refuse to cancel.
Got a voucher through Amazon and thought I will give them a try. Sadly, all the wines they sent were not nice at all!
But worse is that now they are just charging me £25 every month, even though I NEVER gave consent to that!
I have emailed them several times to stop this and to give me a refund. They write back a friendly email but charge me again the next month!
Scam and stay away!
I bought one case of wine and was immediately signed up for the "angel" program without telling me, I only found out when they tried to withdraw 50$ from my bank account. They also wont let you delete your card to prevent them from doing this. They are a partial scam. Their wines are also mediocre or trash.
I am a Wine lover and l truly SUSPECT that at least the Red Wines almost all of them are more or less the same ones!
Perfect example is a Zinfandel supposedly 95% positive Reviews TASTE LIKE A VERY LIGHT AND BAD BURGUNDY!
I never ever experienced that in my entire life.
No matter how many coupon discounts you get, the wines doesn't even worth you opening the bottle.
Thought I'd claim my $100 free voucher that was included in a BBQ purchase. The minimum order is around $200 from memory. This is how they get your card details. They then proceed to deduct $40 a month from your account until you call them. As far as I'm concerned, this is a scam and should be stopped. I don't drink wine so i can't comment on the quality of the product.
Bunch of crooks. They never stand by their advertisement of refund if you don't like their wine. Wine is on average is C+, C- unless you order a bottle for 30-40$( which they claim is already deeply discounted for Angels only), which is not the case. The whole organisation is a sort of religious cult. They scratch each other's backs, praise each other without any substance and peddle mediocre wine. You'll do better if you buy 8-9$ wine in Harris Teeter or Wegmans. Last case was damaged and messed up but they did not bother to provide a proper refund. Stay away if you could and don't pay them a monthly contribution. Whatever was taken from your account you would never get back. The only thing they really care about is the profit margin, as a result you get mediocre crap. Never seen such a mean and rude customer service in my life. The worst of them is manager Bobby, was already drunk at 2 pm Pacific time on December 31 2022.
I ordered the very expensive "deluxe" Christmas case on the basis of the information provided at the time of ordering, which was that I would receive a set number of bottles of wine plus a free bottle of gin and some other freebies. When I was deciding whether the pay such a large sum of money, the extra value of the gin was the main factor on which I based my decision.
I had problems with the courier company (Yodel is one of the worst in the UK), which resulted from the fact that Naked Wines did not let me specify a delivery day at the time of ordering and then, weeks later, Yodel gave me just a couple of days notice of a date that was unsuitable. I changed the date and Yodel promptly lost track of my parcel!
When I did finally receive the goods, I was devastated to find no gin inside. The only freebies were the little tin of olive oil and a really nasty, cheap-looking cocktail shaker, for which I do not have any use at all. I am one of many who have expressed their enormous disappointment both in messages to customer support and on the NW forums. The company has not recompensed us for the absence of gin in our packs.
Unfortunately, a number of the wines are very mediocre, making the £199.99 I was charged for the case even less acceptable.
I can no longer trust Naked Wines. I am following the steps of others and cancelling my membership.
I decided to give them a try, since we received a coupon. Try your luck at Trader Joes instead. If you get a bottle that doesn't taste good or is souring, as was half of our box, then at least you can return it. All three wines pictured below were beginning to turn orange/brown. The smell was very acidic and over powered any taste the wine would bring, such as wine that is beginning to vinegar. One of the wines had a mold smell or dirt with dung. So dissapointed.
Answer: Naked Wines is legit and all above board. They take care of their clientele.
Answer: Sometimes I think their CS people are just sitting around waiting for an email or phone call from me! You would be hard-pressed to find better CS people.
Answer: I gave some of the wines as Christmas gifts and everyone really liked the ones they received.
