This was my first time using the service and I had some trouble figuring out how to enter values on an item I didn't pay for (sample). I ordered 4 eye shadows from NYX cosmetics US website as they were unavailable in the UK. With tax included it came up to $30.50. The price of shipping by MyUs is extortionate and it has ended up costing me $39.85 plus $10.00 in personal shopper fees. So it has cost me just over $80 to purchase simple eye shadow weighing 0.6 lbs. I find it outrageous that NYX would partner with such a shipping company. I had no idea it would be that expensive seeing as my goods are not high-value or heavy. It appears that these two companies are complicit in suckering unsuspecting customers into this scam. In what world is it reasonable to spend over $80 for 4 eye shadows?
I have contacted MyUS and they say that they cannot help me because they have already shipped my item to me and have now raided my pay-pal account. I have made a very big and expensive mistake.

I'd been wanting this item for a while and was happy to find that MyUS.com provided such a service. Any queries I had was very well answered by the consultant on the chat service. I received my parcel within 4 days of arriving at MyUS.com, which exceeded my expectations as these included a weekend.

Ordered a thermal camera from Zoro and had it shipped to germany via MyUS.
Zoro gave a discount of 30% so this was a good deal. However MyUS wrote the full price on the invoice so I ended up paying 90 tax extra and having a lot of hassle with german customs to get my money back.
MyUS sent a corrected invoice a couple of days later via email but this didn't help a lot.
Never ever again!

The signup was very simple and not to expensive
The DHL discounts were great i could not match it myself going direct
The consolidation of packaging was a good service to save money although still think dimensional weight is a bit of a CON but this is not MyUS
The MyUS online process and system was very easy to use and had everything I needed, especially like the photographs of the incoming packages

Only negative was our flowers got a little damaged even with a FRAGILE sticker but every courier we have tried we have had the same problem. Would be great if somebody came up with some FOAM like protection for delicate products!

I was in the process of cancelling my account because I haven't been using it much and the annual fee wasn't providing value. Jess on chat support helpfully pointed out that a standard account exists which doesn't have fees. Jess has switched my account over and all is good

Answer: Micaela, it all depends on the rules in Peru. I'm a MyUS customer and one of the reasons I like their service is because they give me a discount on the shipping cost, each time. There's an option in your shipping settings where you can select 'label as gift', usually customs aren't charged on gift items. Maybe you should try that once. Works for me all the time.
