I must admit though that on this particular instance, the service from both myus.com and their courier agent has been very exceptional and far exceeded my expectation. Service with MyUs is prompt and professional. I was assisted by Angel who has been very cordial and understanding. I requested a shipment back to sender and she did that right away and provided me with a tracking number.
Not the first time I've had packages with damaged contents but I let it slide in the past.
Now almost a full shipment arrived damaged due to very poor packaging by myus. The boxes were not damaged and in tact (although stronger boxes could have been used by myus). Now they are trying to blame the carrier and expecting me to wait - MINIMUM of 8 weeks for this to be investigated, will be seeking legal advice and not using myus again.
Need to figure out what to do with shipments in my suite now and incoming as I have lost all faith with myus.

Living here in the Philippines, I have always had trouble ordering anything online. The reason was the shipping, many vendors will not even ship here. After discovering MYus, shipping here is not a problem anymore. I have been using UPS world wide as my carrier. I found thur trial and error this was by far the best for here in the Philippines, even tho its more expensive then the other carriers, it's worth it. I placed my last order on the 14 Apr. I received it today the 18th. WOW, great work.

Answer: Micaela, it all depends on the rules in Peru. I'm a MyUS customer and one of the reasons I like their service is because they give me a discount on the shipping cost, each time. There's an option in your shipping settings where you can select 'label as gift', usually customs aren't charged on gift items. Maybe you should try that once. Works for me all the time.
