I am new to my.us. Initially I was not happy because my first shipment was made automatically without my authorisation. Later I noticed that I needed to change my shipment preference to "hold". However, I do not understand how to make my shipment request after making the new setting. Therefore, I go to the live chat to ask for help.
Julie answered me in the live chat. She is very helpful in answering my questions concerning the shipments. She gave step by step guides for me so that I can know clearly what I should do for my future shipments.

On more than one occasion, MyUS.com has overcharged me for shipping fees. I specifically requested that this company use the smallest packaging possible for the shipment of my items to keep costs low, and they blatantly ignore this request every time. I disputed with them. Once and received a partial refund. The following time, I wasn't even sent an invoice. They just charged my credit card, causing me over my withdrawal limit. Now I'm stuck paying $75 on a free sample sent to me (Toronto, ON), from the USA. The package was declared to be $7. No way would I EVER recommend this company to any of my associates. I was even reluctant to use them. Again after the first negative experience, but was willing to give MyUS.com one more chance seeing that my issue was resolved (after a month and a half of back and forth power struggling emails) the previous time. Service-Value(especially),-Shipping-Returns-Quality, ZERO STARS all across the board! I hope that this review causes at least one person to use a different company because this is the WORST review I've ever written about any company. I'm really dissatisfied.

I am a new member to myus.com and i must say the service i receive from the company was excellent. My package arrive on time and the representative was very helpful. I finally found an reliable company that ships internationally without high cost.
Often due to delays in order or mishaps in shipment/customs, I have had very stressful moments when even an hour means a lot! In those moments, requesting MYUS staff things like faster lodging or faster ship order processing haven't been easy, and you get answer like "we cant do anything, it may take 1-2 business days etc etc" and that makes you crazy further! But I must mention that 2 names are in my mind, Macy and Rosie, and they always took all my heat very nicely, and were very helpful, very patient and listened to all my garbage till very end, never said no, impossible etc right away. I really salute these staff and they are the reason im at MYUS! :) I wish all your team was like these superb staff..

I sent an item (a bright orange Mora bushcraft knife) to MyUs who refused to ship the item and said that they refuse to ship tactical weapons as per their policy. Their policy doesnt mention knives at all, and the items classed as tactical weopons are serious military type weapons and items. I had to get the knife destroyed. Really unhappy how they can have inadequate policies and I end up paying for that.

Answer: Micaela, it all depends on the rules in Peru. I'm a MyUS customer and one of the reasons I like their service is because they give me a discount on the shipping cost, each time. There's an option in your shipping settings where you can select 'label as gift', usually customs aren't charged on gift items. Maybe you should try that once. Works for me all the time.
