My son was working on a school project and used this website to build a pseudo resume. When he initially started working on it, there was no mention of any payment. So, he thought it was free. But after working for a couple of hours, he wanted to save it and then the payment window showed up. We had no alternative but to pay. It was only about a couple of dollars. But later, we were getting charged every month $24.95 automatically on the credit card that we used. When I called them back they were willing to cancel the current payment but not the previous month's payment. So I had to dispute the transactions with the credit card company. I am surprised this company is still able to exist in spite of so many complaints. I am afraid the credit card companies such as VISA do not care at this point to stop this kind of companies from looting the customers. At the end customer is the LOSER. If VISA really cares about their customers, they should immediately block this company from making any transactions using VISA credit cards.
I called to see how hard it would be to cancel, they answered within 2 rings. Not only did Genesis take care of my cancellation, she also took nearly a hour to help me redesign/structure my resume. I would be much more inclined to use this service if it were not subscription base. The subscription system honestly feels like a scam for customers to forget to cancel their subscription and to get charged again. The website works very well and is a good product/service, but should not be subscription based.

Not only did I get a version that would not upload properly to the most popular job sites they charged me an excessive amount as i was not aware of their continued billing of my credit card. When asked to refund they would not refund the amount requested.

I am beyond disappointed with this "service." I paid $2.99 SEVERAL months ago for a template that didn't even end up working out for me, and just now realized i've been charged the last 8+ months for it! I am a Graduate School student who is having a difficult time making ends meet as it is. I contacted MyPerfectResume months ago trying to cancel this and they ensured me that I would no longer be charged. Come to find out, i've been charged $25/month for the last who knows how long. It is beyond disappointing that this company is choosing to profit off students who may not pay as close attention to their funds as they should. Total scam. My daughter signed up for a 14 days use for 2.99 I noticed within a few days several charges for a very small amounts,. 74. Cent, 1.00 ect. I didnt think much of it at the time, then all of a sudden there is a charge for 24.99, a subscription that I didnt agree to or sign up for.

Yeah, you got to be f***ing joking. I don't remember signing up with the intention of paying $25 a month for this. Low and behold, $25 fee. They must just show you the trial amount, because no way I would have signed up if I had realized the larger hidden fee. Called customer service, garbage. Was hostile towards me after my complaint. 0/10 would not recommend.

I used the site for the free trial, which I was ok with the $3 charge for the 14 days. Then I forgot to cancel, that one was on me for the first $29.95 charge. In the middle of the first month of my subscription I emailed the customer service to cancel, I was told that because I logged in with Facebook that my email address doesnt show an account so they have nothing to cancel. Im was only slightly pissed at this point so I forwarded all my information to help them find my account which included my account number. They could not help me cancel without my credit card number? There is no reason for this, and I refuse to give a company with a reputation for over charging customers trying to cancel, payment info. Getting nowhere through email I called and have been placed on a call back list 3 times just to be told my account doesnt exist. If I dont exist then stop charging me! Do not fall into the trap, the service was not good enough to put yourself through the pain of getting out when you want.

Got a one off invoice for $3 to download my resume. Then three weeks later got a $35 bill because somehow I had been joined to a monthly subscription. Tried contacting them through the website 4 times and have heard absolutely nothing. $#*!ing scum.

Once you selected our 14-day trial, you automatically enrolled in our monthly subscription service, which we let you know at this stage that you may cancel at any time. After that, we charged your credit card since your 14-day trial expired. Also, when we request your credit card information, we clearly explain that unless you self-cancel or request a cancellation before the 14-day trial expires you authorize us to charge your account every four weeks at the current rate of the subscription.

Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
