Your former option re duplication of a person was great - why did you delete this aspect.
The assistance that I have just received from Nir appears to answer my query but I will not know until I attempt this long-winded solution.

If you have many duplicates, it may be frustrating to delete all of your duplicates manually and I sympathize with your efforts.

I will do all I can to help and I hereby give you two more options other than manually that may be useful to you.

1.) *You can export all the single information into one separate GEDCOM file by using the export branch feature on the FTB program. Please note that this workaround will create a new tree that you can upload to your online site and will most likely re-calculate your matches so if you do not care about your approved matches this would work.

2.) *Try restoring a backup of your tree from before this may have happened.

Beware: Tested at 4. As in Four different companies. 3 out of 4 were almost identical and enhanced my 15 years of research for my extensive family tree. I grew up in a family where pretty much everyone on one side of the family spoke 'French' looked French, cooked French. I created my tree using family stories, history, baptismal, marriage, census records, I also relied on other family dna matches, Ancestry's thrulines matches and in person family travel research. 3 DNA companies say I am very French. Myheritage.com shows zero French as in ZERO. Worst yet my husbands results were very incorrect also. He tested at the same 4 companies. Same thing 3 out of the 4 matched except Myheritage who had him with African ethnicity. Mind you he is testing 99% Northern, Eastern and Western Europe at 3 different companies that show zero anything in Africa. Worst yet several of his close family members have tested and not one of them show any African ethnicity. All I can say is this experience left us wondering just how many people out there believe their ethnicity is something it is definitely not? Best of Luck

To provide users with Ethnicity Estimates, we started by figuring out what DNA from different ethnic groups looks like. More than 5000 participants have been selected to serve as references by virtue of their family trees exemplifying consistent ancestry from the same region or ethnicity for many generations. Thanks to the Founder Populations project MyHeritage offers an Ethnicity Estimate with 42 ethnic groups around the world. When we analyzed your DNA sample, we compared your DNA to those models to see what percentage matches each model.

A few common reasons for getting unexpected results are as follows:

Inheriting undetectable amounts of an ethnicity: If an ethnicity was passed down through many generations, you may not have inherited a detectable amount. That’s why even if you are absolutely sure that a certain ancestor had a certain ethnicity, you might not see it in your own Ethnicity Estimate.

Inheriting ethnicities from unknown ancestors: Unexpected ethnicities may have been inherited from ancestors you never knew about. Even the most complete family trees can be expanded. You might have inherited an ethnicity from an ancestor you haven’t yet discovered.

The random nature of genetic inheritance: The percentage of each parents' ethnicities that they pass down may vary. For example, one sibling might have inherited all of his mother's Irish DNA, while another sibling received much less or none. You do not necessarily inherit half of each of your parents’ ethnicities, which is why siblings are very likely to get different estimates.

Ethnicities with strong similarities: Certain populations have very similar DNA because of geographic proximity, migration patterns, and intercultural relationships. In other words, two ethnicities might be so similar biologically, that they cannot be differentiated by DNA testing.

There are ways to circumvent these obstacles with DNA research and with MyHeritage, you can pinpoint the exact location of where your roots come from many of our members will utilize the research tools available such as, building a family tree and finding comparable matches whether they be by doing Genealogy research or viewing your DNA matches.

Our match algorithms have been proven to automatically find and compare similar DNA strands along with ancestral surnames, records, and family trees to find very interesting discoveries.

Please note that bio-geographical estimates are complex. Different companies analyzing the DNA of the same person can come up with different Ethnicity Estimates based on various factors, such as the reference populations used for comparison and the algorithms used. Our genetic models are based on 42 ethnic groups around the world, thanks to our Founder Population project.

You don't really give an image of segments of the DNA, it is much too superficial and still interesting but only regarding the regions one came from or originated from

To provide users with Ethnicity Estimates, we started by figuring out what DNA from different ethnic groups looks like. Thanks to the MyHeritage Founder Populations project we offer an Ethnicity Estimate with 42 ethnic groups around the world. We focus on the 700,000 sections that are known to vary between people (the other 99.9% of the sequence is pretty much the same for everyone).

Your site is very interesting because for a person in search of identity, landmark and especially of sense it is a very good track to begin to experiment its true ethnic origin in addition to its genealogy.
I also appreciated the friendliness of your customer service who took the time and had the patience to answer as accurately as possible to all my questions that I asked myself.
And more to add to that what is good is that everyone has the opportunity to access your site and your customer service in several languages which facilitates much contact.

El servicio de atención al cliente es bueno, porque procuran solucionar rápidamente los problemas de los clientes y sobre todo de forma cordial. En ese aspecto no hubo inconvenientes. El problema radica en la elección de las agencias de entrega de paquetes. En mi caso, mi pedido no fue entregado y la agencia no me brindó solución a mi reclamo. La única alternativa fue pedir un nuevo kit (sin costo), pero estos traspies ocasionan pérdida de tiempo y dinero que podrían evitarse si se escogiera una mejor agencia y si MyHeritage se involucrara más en la gestión de los despachos.

The staff clarified my doubts quickly. However, they dont have support in portuguese, althought Brazil being one of the main platform supporters. This review concerns the ordering process of the dna kit and getting help from customer support. Ordering online was easy and straightforward and the process went exactly as advertised. When I wrote to customer support asking about activating a kit for someone else Carol Ann replied within 24 hours with all the information I needed, and when I then wrote back with another question she answered that very quickly as well. They deserve all the praise and stars they get!
