I've had to make two appointments with this office, and both experiences were frustrating. The first time, no one told me the appointment was virtual — something I can't do due to a hearing issue. The second time, I was late (my fault), but in both cases, trying to reschedule was met with indifference. The front desk staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful, as if they didn't care whether I was a patient or not. On top of that, a couple of years ago I needed the frames on my glasses replaced, and it took three months to get them back. I called multiple times, was told someone would follow up, and no one ever did. Eventually, they blamed their third-party vendor, but they didn't seem concerned about the delay or the lack of communication — just business as usual. In my opinion, if that's the level of service they accept, maybe they need to reconsider who they're doing business with. I've liked the doctors I've seen here, but the customer service and follow-through from the rest of the team leave a lot to be desired.
After making an appointment for 11:30 this morning I drive to Hunt Valley Mall to My Eye DR. I was 6 minutes late as I was filling out pre check in forms, which were very tedious and time consuming, from home. I called from the mall parking lot at 11:36 to let them know I couldnt find their location. Alexis, who spoke to me when I called for directions, had no idea where she was or the My Eye Dr location was. I was on a hunt for the location on my own! Found it in 1.5 minutes, alas, no parking! I then rushed to grab a parking spot and was in the office by 11:40. There was one lady serving about 10 patients and it took a minute for her to acknowlege me. When she did I said I had an 11:30 appointment and explained the whole story. "the doctor is in with a patient right now. He'll only be a few minutes longer then he'll see you next. He and his patient came out of the exam room and the lady working alone in the front said MR DANIEL is waiting for you, he had an 11:30. She explained briefly to the Dr. to which the doctor replied, "I am taking lunch". I said to myself oh really? After 45 minutes of waiting for the Dr to finish his lunch I decided my time and self respect were more important to me than new glasses from MY Eye DR. You have lost a valuable patient forever, and I'm going to spread the word!
Was referred or this company, selection of frames are not good, went with pair did not care for. Bifocal was positioned wrong, was told wait 2 weeks before being concerned of prescription, which ended up being too blurry. Contacted them, rescheduled eye exam, given different prescription, wanted to exchange pair that didn't originally like, still selection was horrible. Was told to take RX and go somewhere else, so inquired if THEIR other stores had different frames, went to Lambertville location, found exactly what wanted/was looking for, even got different second pair. Manager from this store personally brought previous glasses to Westgate store to be exchanged on 2/17, upon calling on 2/26 to inquire about glasses being ready, was told needed to "look further into it", girl called back stating frames were on back order so would be 2 more weeks! Spoke with Lambertville manager, in which was told that by her checking in system (and being person whom personally dropped off at other location), was told info received from Westgate, was false. No back order on frames, but glasses sat in their store since being dropped off on 2/17, and was just being ordered on 2/26! Therefore was given the complete run around and blatantly lied to. I do not suggest going to My Eye Dr-Westgate, located at 4011 Secor Rd Toledo, Ohio *******. I want a refund. Worse "professionalism", very inadequate, and completely concerning for a business that suggests "you go somewhere else".
Paid for their contact class to learn to use contacts. They didn't have my size so the contacts got stuck on my eyes. They spent over 15 minutes trying to remove them. I was in pain with my eyes pussing for about a week from it.
I received a text message saying my eyewear was ready for pick up at friendly center. I go to friendly center to pick up my eyewear and they tell me they can't give me my glasses because there's no doctors or technicians working my question. Why would you send me a text telling me that my hour was ready for pick up and I wasted 25 minutes in my gas Should go across town and there's nobody there to give me my glasses no doctor or text working that day I find that the doctors conference was great but administrative part is all over the place. They are very messy and I will not refill my prescription here again.
I had an eye exam at the Irving, TX location, where they recommended bi-focal eyeglasses. After purchasing them, I realized I didn't need bi-focals. I then switched to reading glasses, but they still cause headaches. Despite visiting the office more than four times, I haven't found relief. I do not recommend MyEyeDr for eye exams
The service here at this location is gone to the trash. Don't go here my family has been at this location more then 10 years.Daugter lens fell out after three weeks.Took them back reordered saying couldn't have plastic frames need to be wired frame do to her meds.then got the three pair back and the lens was so dam thick it was unreal. If they don't know what they doing they don't need to work here.My husband took our daughter to the Henderson location they fix the problem.with no problems.First the glasses should've never left the store the way they looked.Call to discuss.my considers no management and then the girl said. The lady was busy.SHUT THIS LOCATION DOWN.DO NOT GO HERE...THEY DON'T CARE TAKING FOLK'S MONEY AND DON'T CARE.I SAID WHAT I SAID.POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.DONT GO TO SOUTH HILLI LOCATION IS TRASH.A BUNCH OF UNORGANIZED STAFF. UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER..
No one greets you when you enter. They are very unfriendly and unhelpful. I walked in with crutches and couldn't open the door to leave, no one even acknowledged me or offered to help with the door. This company is not worth your business
Early in the year I went to a Beaumont, Texas location and got new glasses, even though the ones I had were less than 6 months old. He scheduled me to come back for more specific tests since I insisted it was more than vision issues. When he couldn't find anything after my 2nd visit he referred me to a retina specialist who couldn't find anything so he sent me to Downtown Houston where and ERG found I have a very rare disease. They asked me to return to my eye doctor in my area to request a referral to be tested for autoimmune diseases, that appointment was September 9th. I have not gotten a referral yet and will be going back to the other side of Houston (2+ hours each way) for my follow up appointment without having seen a doctor about scheduling labs. Now it's November 20 and I got a bill stating I have cataract in my left eye! They billed my insurance for an exam and diagnosis when I didn't have any exams nor diagnosis and didn't even get the referral I went there for! Insurance fraud? Certainly not for anyone with eye disease to be comfortable with.
On the website it states that MyEyeDoctor accepts all vision insurance. When my wife went for new glasses, the local branch refused to accept the Vision Insurance that she has through Norfolk Public Schools. She needed gasses so purchased a pair, paying over $700. With the insurance they should have been about half that amount.
Do not go here unless you wish to get ripped off.
Had a simple pair of reading glasses made, they were wrong, they said they would remake them. I was told about a week to get them, the following day they called and said they are in. No difference, more than likely they didn't do anything. Will never go back and will tell others to avoid this company.
Horrible experience here at the 800 Peachtree location in Atlanta, GA. The frontdesk staff, Dorothy, was extremely rude, condescending, and unhelpful. The google maps location is wrong, and she spent 10 minutes on the phone giving me confusing directions and when I finally showed up 15 minutes late due to this, she refused to have me seen because of their 10 minutes grace period.
I went to MyEyeDR. For my Annual Eye Exam through Humana which is No Charge to me. I told them when I arrived why I was there. They made a copy of my insurance card so they knew who to bill. I had the normal eye exam and I told the doctor I already had cataracts. Before leaving I was asked to sit down with their assistant. She went over the charges and stated I owed $39.00. I told her the eye exam is no charge through Eye Med Vision with Humana! She admitted she knew that but said I had pictures taken so I had to pay for that. I did not authorize pictures! I paid the $39.00 and my receipt shows $0.00 owed. Yesterday I was sent a bill for $40.00. I called Humana and found out they billed the charges to Medical instead of Vision. I told the Customer Rep the whole story. She called MyEyeDr. She then called me back to say their representative said they billed it to Medical because I never had the regular eye exam since I had cataracts, so they billed it as a regular doctor appointment. This is fraud because they knew my appointment was for a normal eye exam, which I had, and my receipt shows full payment. Nothing shows I have a copay of $40.00! If they would have told me that I would have known immediately they were billing it wrong. Of course they knew it because I made that clear, so that's why they didn't tell me! This is Medicare Insurance Fraud because by billing the appointment under Medical instead of Vision they get more money! Stay away from this company because they can't be trusted!
Refused to provide prescription as required by law. Pressure to purchase eyeglasses from their office. Illegal! United States of America

No refund policy. Selection was HORRIBLE. No sizing took place. Spent over $300 on glasses that took two weeks to get (settling for frames I disliked because their selection was so small) and I can't read more than three words on a computer. The visual field is way too small. Even when I picked them up there was no one to check the adjustment. I was just on my own for the entire part of it except when it came time to pay/ring it up. I should have checked first but there is no refund policy.
I have caught 2 buses to arrive to my appointment on time, when arriving to the Paxton location, I was not greeted in the proper way and was told that they tried to reach me by phone and email, the phone number that they had was my old phone number that I had years ago, while making a appointment online, I used my updated phone number, I went thru emails and the only email I received was the email to confirm my appointment after explaining to the rude lady at the desk she showed NO remorse at ALL, I am highly upset now I have to take 2 more buses to get home. I don't understand why they didnt use the updated phone number from booking my online appointment. They really need someone else at the front desk who has personality and respect towards customers
Dr.nice, staff rude.sales person sneezed directly in my face, offered no apology, wrong glasses ordered, rude when I was attempting to order the correct ones, upon my leaving offered no assistance with opening the door for me,seeing hat I am disabled and in a wheelchair
I am done with MyEyeDr in Benton Harbor. I've gone to them for several years.
I had an issue with them a year ago with a broken frame that was a few months past the warranty date. I was happy to pay for the repair. Finally, after complaining, they repaired them and charged me a small fee.
This year, same thing. My frame broke one month after the warranty expired! I was willing to pay for the repair but Teresa told me they couldn't do it. Finally she sent a request I to the main office and said she would call me back within a week. It's been almost two weeks! Nothing! They never follow up!
I have moved on. I've ordered a new pair of glasses from another business. I will never go back there again.
Ordered glasses over 3 weeks ago; nothing received. Called office, had to leave message OF COURSE! That was 9:00am, as of 4:00pm, have not heard a word from anyone. Went online to check status: "We need more time. Your order has been moved to PRIORITY STATUS"; as opposed to the apparent INDIFFERENCE status of the past 3 plus weeks! Love the Dr., but I will never buy glasses here again!
