If you book an appointment online, call to check they received the appointment and have it scheduled before making the trip. Even if you have the a copy of the confirmation. Suggest bringing it with you for back up. Not sure it would have helped, but at least I would not feel like I was loosing my mind. When I got home from not getting my exam, fired up my PC to check incase it was I that screwed up. It was on my windows desktop as I knew would be there as I had opened it before making the trip to verify the address. Low and behold, I was right, date and time. Also the phone number I used to book the appointment which they could not find in their system either. Looks like a disconnect between their online scheduling and their offices.
I got a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses.Very costly.They were very tight on my face.I asked if I could exchange them for a pair that fit.I had not worn them other than trying them on.He said NO,all sales are final.He was so arrogant.His Name is Dakota,works in New Smyrna Beach office.
I truly had the most wonderful experience π at My Eye Dr Kaitlyn was so kind π and helpful she made my day she is a true gem. Professional customer service at it's bestπ. MyEyeDr took over and ruined a great Austin local small business - Stars in Your Eyes.
MyEyeDr lost my favorite frames when they were having new prescription lens installed.
They charged me 50% of the replacement frame cost even though they lost them. I'm a 7-year loyal customer.
Then they turn my account over to a collections department who call and text my mobile relentlessly for weeks morning and night. I told the agent I woould go to the store and discuss this with them as I pay my bill in full before leaving the store everytime. Still the calls keep coming.
I go to the store and no one can assist me. I call the toll-free number and they can only collect money.
What a scam. Check the companies Better Busines Bureau score for headqurters in Vienna VA - a 1.3 rating out of 5. Terrible! Hundreds of consumer complaints.

Had a glitch with my prescription but they worked with me to figure it out and get everything right. I appreciated that.
My eye doctor told me progressive lenses would be great for me as I could use them for reading by looking through the bottom of the lens and also have good distance vision through the top. After they made my new lenses I could see great through the top but there was only a very small area that I could read through at the bottom and about 80% of the viewing area was distorted and blurry on each side. When I called to see if they could fix it they said that's normal but if you want to upgrade to a higher end lens it would be better. I did order a very expensive lens with a retail price of $404.00 and seems like they don't want to take responsibility for not telling me this would occur in the first place or they are lying and want me to spend even more $$. Think they are scammers and they are owned by Goldman Sachs now so beware.
We have come here for 7 yrs. Our vision insurance ALWAYS covered eye exam.
It still does but this MyEye Doctor office refuses to accept it. They run the insurance info and say it isn't covered. I spoke with the Aetna rep and they state it IS coverered.
My wife's contacts took 6 months to arrive last year. She had the exam and contacts were ordered. 6 weeks later we inquired about them. We were told they needed to be reordered. We did. 6 more weeks passed. No contacts. They finally arrived2 weeks later.
The reps here were rude and condescending. Go elsewhere.
Glasses broke 9 days after pick up. Came to store. Because I hadn't purchased insurance, I was bluntly told to go glue them myself. The woman at the counter then turned her back on me. I asked if there was a 30 day policy and she said no without even making eye contact. You just lost a long term customer for over 20 years. I couldn't even explain or ask about 30 day return on defects. Shame on you
I very recently had my first appointment. From the moment I walked and dealt with the office staff until the moment I left I was made to feel so comfortable. Dr. Adam Morrow is amazing and so personable. I've never experienced such an in depth eye examine. Paris took care of me in the eyewear section. She picked out the perfect frame for me! I will recommend this office to anyone needing eye care.
5809 Leesburg pike store location is where i went for my eye exam and glasses. Dr. Jones was excellent she had great customer service skills, and felt very comfortable with her. No complaints for her. One of the front desk ladies was no help at all couldn't purchase my glasses because she claimed that she didn't know what to do. There was a problem that we ran into, and she was so busy doing other things instead of taking the time to figure out what was going on with my insurance. After a while she totally ignored me. I felt so out of place, to the point i went someplace else, and was able to get my eye glasses. I would never go there again, or refer anyone to that place
I recently went with my daughter to My Eye Dr. in Frederick, MD and her Dr., Umar Mahmood was extremely helpful. She wanted contacts, but was disappointed because they hurt her eyes last time. When I mentioned that the Dr. told us about several other options and recommended higher quality lens for my daughter to try. She loves them and I just ordered the news lenses for her. He even answered a couple of questions about my eye wear...I will definitely be booking my appointment with him.
Had an appointment when I showed up they wanted to charge me an additional $44.00 fee for the doctors convenience of not coming to the office. If I set up a tele-health appointment it is for my convenience not for the doctors convenience. RIDICULOUS is all I have to say!
Been going here a few years and am constantly being pushed to get progressives. They are never right. I cant stand them and spend so much money its ridiculous for something i cant use without getting sick. This year no doc, so my doc and technician were online on a tv screen. Not good. Talked into an expensive eye drop that i cant seem to get, either. No one in office can help me adjust the frames either. My son, who doesnt really need glasses, was charged nearly a thousand bucks for lenses for computer use? But we were generously given a discount that brought them down to 500. Gee so helpful. I will be looking elsewhere next year.
I paid both eye Ortho-K Lenses for my daughter at Oct 9,2023, the office told us wait for 1-2 weeks, we waiting for over a months, but we only got one eye of the lenses, we still waiting for another eye Lenses, disappointed services, unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend the Newton EyeDr. Location with Dr Frank office.
Our family used to go to this office. After Mary Jo Steigemeier, OD retired and sold to myeyedr the service went downhill. We have decided to go elsewhere. We know other families who had the same experience and left as well. This postcard showed up this past week using Mary Jo Steigmeier's name - it is FALSE ADVERTISING - I called to ask for an appointment with Mary Jo and of course I was told she is not there. I asked why is her name and photo on the postcard as if she is there and they chuckled and said "well, I don't know." I told them it was false advertising and there was no further discussion.
For the 1st time, I went to the Arundel Mills location. No one greeted me as I entered, I had to seek out personnel to determine what I was supposed to do. Begrudgingly, a man behind the desk motioned me to the back after giving him my name. The eye doctor was more concerned about cracking jokes about me aging than listening to anything I had to say. To seal the deal, he said it was stupid of my husband not to pay for an eye benefit despite the rest of the family having perfect vision. I only need readers but he is pushing what he says will be a $600 pair of glasses out of convenience. Thanks, I'll go to Costco or Walmart and see what the total is; I am not giving these JOKERS anymore of my business!
I recently visited MyEyeDr and had an amazing experience! Everyone who worked there was very friendly, which created an upbeat atmosphere. The doctor was very thorough and explained everything to me, which made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Kenya helped me with my glasses fitting and she was great! They also had an excellent selection of frames to choose from, and I got the cutest pair of Pradas and a cute set covered through my insurance. Overall, I had an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great eye care provider.
Been a month already paid still no glasses I keep calling and only get promises. Office manager keeps saying he will keep me posted but never does
I have gone here before and they knew it yet they did not tell me. Oh we don't take your insurance anymore and wanted me to use my other insurance and pay all these deductibles and a crapload of out of pocket money and I kept trying to tell the lady no. Why would I pay that when I can go somewhere else and she was so rude and unprofessional. I will never go there again waste of my day and time
