Guess what?. As if MCR couldnt get any worse,... lol it has. The codes on caps and 12 packs has an expiration date, I've saved up thousands of caps and stopped using them until this new site starts and give it a chance before it disappoints me but now all those caps i have are trash (2 trash bags full). I don't know who or what caused coke to do this?. Is it a sociological experiment to enrage thousands. Lol
Yes the old system could be time consuming. But at least there were tons of options. I was a big user of Shutterfly rewards. Now there are only a handful of "chances to win" options, not really rewards... and they seem to be mostly sports related or promoting Coke products. I'm a huge loyal fan of Coca Cola... but as others have said, the rewards aren't worth the effort. Very sad about the change. Hope there are lots of reviews like mine... and maybe Coke will listen and make some changes.
Many years ago Coke decided that they wanted to tinker with the original coke formula and came out with the "New Coke." It was a disaster. Now Coke has done it again. What a bunch of dummies. Coke execs are you listening. "'Pepsi Please"
Constantly reducing the number of points you can enter. Constantly increasing the points to get rewards. Programming in a nagging urge for me to patronize social web sites I am not interested in and generally wasting my time of 3 minutes just to get signed into the site.
Program bugs also delay or stop me from entering more than one code.
Coke you need to hire some good programmers to alleviate the agony of MCR!
This new program sucks. Who ever thought this up really "screwed the pooch". Have enjoyed Coke for years and used the points to take my children to amusement parks, buy them gifts, and I have enjoyed the experience. This new program does none of this. I am switching to Pepsi or stop drinking soda overall. I encouraged my friends to drink Coke also and they would give me their caps. No more.
Lots of the Diet Coke caps don't work. It's not bad enough that many are unreadable! These were legible and still got the "error entering" message. I also noticed that the weekly entry maximum is down and the points required for the best items is up. I guess life-long Coke drinkers aren't valued anymore. Oh well... time to switch to tea!
I just lost 2,000 points! I was a loyal customer of Coca Cola and now I'm so mad they can keep it. I'm going to drink Pepsi from now in. They lost my information with the new and so unimproved coke rewards deal of 2015. When they started the new deal everything evaporated. And when you call customer service they say you should email them. Then they ignore your emails! So I called and finally got thru only to find out they can't do anything I need to email them. And I'm back to nothing at all.
I am in total agreement with everyone here. I am furious about how coke slowly decreases weekly point accrual, increases point cost for items, requires participation in outside programs (social media), and then has the audacity to say their actions are an 'improvement' and that they're 'listening and responding' to their customers' concerns. And being evasive with their answers when confronted. Well, I'm going to take the advice of two of the posters here and file a complaint with FTC, and also to take them to small claims. I urge everyone reading this to do the same, and I'll be telling everyone I know to do the same.
I have to agree with other reviews. I guess they were giving out too many free soda's or something. This new program is not worth the effort. I guess I will slow down on drinking soda, which is better for you anyway. No need to drink them like I was when the reward program is like this.
Not much to choose for rewards! Some of the ones they do have available are of no interest to me ~ Speed Way, Shutterfly (you end up spending too much for shipping), and AMC (not available in my area). I liked the old program better, much more to use your rewards on!
For years I saved points to cash in for Movie Tickets and Amazon Gift Cards. I definitely felt it was worth the effort to input the codes each week. I'm really bummed about the new program. I have a whole bucket full of bottle caps that I'll probably toss out very soon since the new program doesn't entice me to log in. I keep hoping the Coke Execs will reinstate some type of cumulative point system. I definitely felt there was a payoff for patronizing Coke products during the former program.
"waste of time", " not worth the effort", "what were they thinking". I can't add much to that, the program really stinks. I may go to grad school now that I have so much free time. I've rediscovered RC cola and need to buy some Moon Pies, life is good.
My Coke Rewards is long on hype but leaves me with a bad taste. The codes are difficult to read even with my best flashlight and magnifier. Maybe this promotion is better suited to teenagers with 20/20 vision. Many of the prizes require so many points that you will most likely never be able to enter enough codes to get anything worthwhile. For example, a Bluetooth bracelet costs 1400 points or the equivalent of 466 two-liter bottles of your favorite soft drink. A Coca-Cola tee-shirt requires the equivalent of 183 two-liter bottles. To make matters worse, there is a maximum number of bottle caps that can be entered each week. But if you don't enter any bottle caps over an extended period of time, you will lose the points that you have been awarded up until that point, meaning that you will have to start all over again. Really, Coca-Cola Co? Is this how you reward customer loyalty? You can do better.
Who in there right mind would put a program out on the market that alienates its customers. Either end the points program or bring back the old one. This is just like a big company that just does not care
Loved the old program where you could save your points for real GOOD prizes, but not now! Who wants to enter a sweepstakes for something you would not save your points to purchase! I thought it was bad when they put a limit on the number of points you could enter each week but that would be great to do that now! I tried to enter points for my favorite school and it told me I was not authorized, what gives?
Corporate greed. This program is about saving money for Coke not making it worth consumer's time. Poorly thought up program. No rewards for loyal customer base. New Coke rewards has the taste of a warm Pepsi left in the Florida sun! Ewwwww!
Stupidest change to a rewards campaign I have ever seen. Basically what coke has done is changed the rewards program into a social crap rewards site with an attempt to sell you gear. What they are telling us is they don't want our business, so that is what I have done, not given them my business since. Where once I sought out coke products to get points, I have now gone back to Pepsi products by drinking Auquafina bottled water and Mountain Dew. How can you have a rewards program for so long and think a not-so-subtle change won't have an impact to your bottom line and perceptions of your brand. Idiots!
I have always thought that a rewards program was to reward the customer. Well, not with this new rewards thing that you now have. Can't save points for FREE stuff. That is what we all want. FREE STUFF not a chance to win. Please, Please go back to the old way of doing things and you will make so many of us Coke customers happier.
Worst reward program. I used my remaining points from the old program to use them up on the few remaining rewards they had left. One was for a Shutterfly 8x10 notebook. Come to find out that I can't claim it unless I purchase something! Total rip-off! Whoever thought this new program up is a real idiot!
Petition regarding the new MyCokeRewards program
Every signature will generate an email to Coca-Cola regarding the problem of obtaining Status level rewards

Answer: I still buy Coke products... but I've starting buying other brands and now split my Coke product purchases by 50%! If more customers did that, maybe Coke will wonder where their fizz went.
Answer: I'm not sure. I know prior to the change I was getting a lot of emails announcing they were updating the program with new rewards, etc. it seems like they either upped the points on my favorite rewards and/or put more restrictions on point submissions. "Update" seemed to actually mean "downgrade" the program.
Answer: They're arrogant and think that they are too big to fail.
