I bought a house for the first time last year. New to the area and new to homeowning, I didn't know any local tradesmen or how to deal with repairs myself. I've found the site really useful for small jobs - all of the tradesmen I've used have been friendly, well priced and quick to respond to my queries. I'll definitely use the site again for future jobs.
I have used Mybuilder several times and on each occasion I found the site extremely user-friendly and simple to navigate. I have always been matched with a number of local tradesmen all of whom have been well qualified and highly rated. The tradesmen that I have selected have all done extremely good work and I use this site whenever the occasion arises.
My Builder allows you to select great trades that have been vetted in advance! This is a real boost in London where there is generally a mix of good and poor trades. Have had great experience with my builder and used significantly
The patio was re-laid which was a difficult job because of tree roots and drainage inspection covers in the patio were of the wrong height. The area used to flood but that has now been eliminated and the area looks much better.
Around two years ago we needed a part job done on our bathroom. We had visitors coming in a few weeks, so were in a rush. Unluckily we couldn't find anybody locally, so we settled for one in Yeovil. Bad choice. There wouldn't be enough room here to tell what we went through. We are in our eighties, so I suppose we are fair game for the type. We couldn't risk annoying him by withholding money or writing a bad review, we might have at least got a brick through the window, or set on one dark night, and who would know, or care? Eventually though I contacted My Builder by phone. All I got out of him, however, was, 'But he's the only plumber we have in that area'. It didn't strike me at the time, but is that the sort of response to get after a complaint of that nature?
I have been using mybuilder site for almost 2 years now for any house related work. Have used plumber, painter, electritian and others. The site is simply to use and have qualified skilled people registered. Also, the customer service at mybuilder is very helpful too. Will definitely recommend mybuilder to all.
Was looking for a landscaper and mybuilder.com came up on my online search. Contacted the landscapers they recommended and the job was completed professionally. The mybuilder website was easy to use and provided all the information to assist me.
From this site I went to a house at 9am and the Muslim lady expected me to work in her bedroom whilst the curtains were drawn and it was pitch black with her husband asleep in bed. I suffered it and did the job which was to change just the lower section of a sash window. The part which slides up. So after doing it the woman gave me a bad review. She expected for £100 for me to also completely sand the frame. That was not agreed and no company would have agreed it for only a £100. So I complained to Mybuilder but they let the negative review stay, and dropped my rating to 75% which google publicly displays on the top of the first page when you search my company name. This bad rating appears even higher in the page than my own company does. No options to remove it, even after cancelling my account. Mybuilder refuse to remove it and it costs me a lot of lost revenue. Fighting a legal battle now. Do not use these jokers. Only interested in themselves. No respect for the tradesperson.
I have used mybuilder.com a number of times to source tradesman - from laying a tile floor, to a bathroom refit, electrian and carpenter. I haven't experienced any issues - my dealing with the tradesman is always positive, prompt and the work to a high standard. I would only use this website to find a tradesman and have no hesitation in recommending their tradesmen!
I hired a carpenter called Andrew Nutt to hang a glazed door internal, a 1st class job he done me proud, so much so he will get the job for my garden fencing.Well done Andrew. Neil.
The site is easy to use and it helps to be able to see feedback for each tradesperson. I would advise anyone to check the tradesperson out and read what others have said about their work. Also, get several prices before committing. There is insurance offered by MyBuilder for work carried out - talk to the tradesperson and get more details from the website beforehand.
MyBuilder is a great place to find the trades you want when you need them at anytime. Whats great is you can find out a lot about the trade you want from their profile and their feedback. It's also very handy because you can obtain several quotes for the job you post which is always recommended.
Have used this site three times for very different reasons and each time I have been very pleased with the outcome. The responses have been quick and the tradesmen I chose have all been polite, helpful and tidy as well as doing a good job.
I will always go to this website whenever I need help.
My builder are money grabbers who take money from trades people when they get shortlisted and never tell the customer that tradespeople have to pay for this service when customers shortlist more than 1 person and they don't get to quote on the job ive reported this to trading standards who are looking into this
I just wanted to say well done to Zac from Boss Gas Installation, he did a great job at remedying a leak on a gas pipe in my ceiling. He was very professional, and patient in finding the leak, he repaired the ceiling and left everything clean and tidy. I would highly recommend him and will be contacting him again and again. Merlyn

Mybuilder.com takes the hassle out of finding reputable builders and with the feedback reviews you can see other peoples past experiences before you contact and contract your jobs
I've used this site a few times and haven't been disappointed yet. The companies on the site have been very good at contacting me when I've enquired about a job and have then delivered a great service.
MyBuilder.com is cheating whit shortlist fee. Not every shortlisted job is happening but MyBuilder.com they still charging their fees. Which is wrong.
We have used MyBuilder for three jobs since November 2014 for flooring, plumbing and carpentery. So far the jobs have been successfully executed and the tradesmen we used left the place neat and tidy. I have tried a couple of other sites before and I find MyBuilder is far better than them and their website is well designed and user friendly. I shall definitely continue to use MyBuilder for our future needs.
