MusicStack is an alternate marketplace for both music collectors and sellers, if you want to deal with actual people and not some corporate algorhythm. This marketplace, just like others, links buyers to sellers but - in case of Musicstack - there is an actual guy helping to sort out issues, not an automated bot providing "customer service".
Thanks recommending MusicStack over Ebay/Amazon. That means a lot! I do pride myself on personal service and being helpful if issues arise. When you are looking for music, this is the place to be. May not be the biggest site but by far the easiest to work with. Everyone is very friendly and the owner of the site is always ready to help with your experience any way he can

Been more than 10 years I sell on Musicstack. The experience with the owner and his services is a joy. The message board with the buyer is efficient, Sale got down, but lately, I get more than I was used.

The idea Musicstack is able to stay afloat is a miracle. There are no checks and balances, and stock is routinely incorrect. Sellers list items for sale that aren't in stock, and they'll take days and days to tell you so. It's relatively easy to read a seller's fill rate and feedback, and sellers find ways to get a buyer's attention, then let them down by over-grading or just not having items in stock. Sellers can get away with this because you just can't leave feedback for sellers here. Buyers who know the basics can open Paypal claims, and win those claims, but sellers can keep acting like dunces because the feedback system is so bad. Keep in mind, I'm both a seller and a buyer, and have been for years, and I'm surprised Musicstack stays in business with competitors like Discogs around. If anyone remembers Gemm, you'll see a lot of similarities with Musicstack (Gemm is now out of business for being an extremely poorly run company). I highly recommend buyers and sellers using Discogs, or even eBay, for your purchases, because Musicstack is a disappointing joke of customer service, seller tools, communication, and vinyl culture.
MusicStack has been in business since 1997 and has process millions of orders and helped a countless number of people find rare records and CDs all with no problems. All sellers have feedback, seller statistics and a star rating that tell how good they are. The great sellers shine brightly while subpar one are easily determined before you buy and can be avoided. Sorry to hear you don't care for our service any longer after being with us for so many years. Your review only leaves me wondering that if we were so terrible and such a joke why you stuck around for so many years?

We never received any of your messages so we had no idea you were having problems. If we would have known we gladly would have tried to mediate the situation and find out where your order was. And if that couldn't be done that resulted in you receiving your package we would have helped you get a refund on your order. I'm sorry you had such a negative experience. This is by far not the normal experience when ordering from a seller on our platform. Without knowing the details, this sounds like it could have been a packaged lost or stolen in the mail, or held up in customs as most of the sellers on our platform are extremely honest and have been selling with us for over 10 years (and some over 15 or 20 years).
Cannot determine it in some exact manner, the app is working well enough, I would not say excellent, the process delays are to often, that is why only 3 stars. If they will fix it I will consider it once again
If you wish to see how fast or slow a seller is on our platform please look at the seller's statistics (and Star rating). We track how quickly a seller responds to you after your order is placed and also how quickly they dispatch your order. This information is great for knowing what kind of service you will receive from a seller before you order from them.
As a seller on Musicstack I have found the owner Dave Stack extremely helpful on the rare occasions that I needed advice, great selection of sellers offering a wide variety of music styles. Only problem is that many of the sellers sell on multiple sites and sometimes are slow to update Musicstack that an item has sold so as a buyer be aware it is not Dave's fault.

Desperate to find a reliable vinyl source, I checked this place and multiple purchases have all been excellent service and items honestly represented with fast shipping. Other than Amazon for an occasional new LP, this is the ONLY site for vinyl that thus far hasn't burned me.

Whether you buy from a seller through Music Stack or from the seller directly, you'll do well. Music Stack is very customer pro-active -- if you have a question for or problem with a seller and you get no response from the seller within a reasonable time, Music Stack will lock that seller's account until you get a reply! I've found hard-to-find music here; their search engine takes you into all formats (vinyl, 45s, CDs, DVDs, tapes) and all over the world.

Thank you for leaving us such an excellent review and for noticing our seriously we take customer service from our sellers. That is correct. If a seller doesn't (or refuses) to contact you within 5 days we feel that such a seller should not be listed on our platform. This keeps out all the sellers who can not provide good customer service and keeps only the best seller selling on the platform.
Excellent site, it's the only place i sell my records, would highly recommend it, Dave is great, takes care of any questions I have.

It appears you ordered a CD, and not vinyl from our site, so that is why a CD showed up. We provide customer service is usually in minutes (not hours) if you contact us through our website or email. Sadly, this is the first I'm hearing from you about an issue with your order.
