Bought an iPhone with best environmentally friendly intentions at heart a few months ago. Developed screen fault. Sent back. Waited. Chased. No point of contact eg phone number just email. Two weeks in they said they had fixed it and dispatched it. One week later still no phone, said it's probably lost, said they'd refund me the original cost. An hour later Royal Mail email saying they've now got it - and it'll arrive the next day. Contact MM to ask how to return their refund. Given bank details. Next day - sorry ignore that we now can't do it that way, please send the phone back having reset it and unlinked from iCloud. Let us know if you'd like to reorder from us. I'm absolutely furious, this company hides from its customers - the LiveChat people refused to give me contact details for any managers saying there aren't any contactable just use the complaints address. Fobbed off repeatedly. Until today when some manager can't work out how to recoup their refund error and thinks I should send the phone back! Beyond stupid. Will see what happens next - do not touch this company they are not customer centred.
Don't use them they send you emails saying you will get payment the sam day received before 2 or next day received after. When you dont get the payment they tell you it's 7 days from when they receive it.
Dishonest company
Avoid avoid avoid. Bunch of scammers. Trying to charge me for item I haven't had. They need shutting down. How dare they scam vulnerable people
Honestly, I've never come across such a rubbish company. I sent my device for them to "loose it" in the post and I've got a confirmation from their customer service that I would be illegible for a refund the same is stated on the Label. They sent me to use. Why don't they have a contact number? Honestly like I've been scammed. Dont get stuck like me
Awful don't do business with this…
Awful don't do business with this company. I have bought at least 6 iPhones from MM and they used to be a good reliable company. I recommended them to my wife and she has had the worst experience with them. She has sent two phones back. The first had a third party battery installed and there was a warning on the phones operating system saying that it wasn't recommended. She sent that back and tried again and specified a 'very good, quality phone which had a third party low quality screen also with the same warning in the settings. The phone also had a problem where it wouldn't start up. When she sent it back they said the phone worked and that they wouldn't issue a refund, trying to make out she changed her mind. They then sent it back to her in the same state. What an awful company. Do not trust this company at all. Buyer beware. You cannot trust the guarantees and they are exploiting people in the worst possible way.
It is impossible to contact them over a problem email always bounce back and the chat system doesn't work
The amazing reviews are phony this is a dreadful company and don't deserve any business
Tried for days to make payment can't do on my account and can't get help very frustrating now I'm getting letters and no help from customer services as can't get help from anyone
IPhone was not packaged properly and it arrived smashed
Music Magpie claiming accidental damage so wont' refund me
AVOID THIS COMPANY!
Extremely disappointed with the service and lack of communication
I recently had a very frustrating experience with Music Magpie when I traded in my phone. I followed all their instructions, packaging the phone securely and sending it off in perfect condition. However, what followed was a series of delays and poor communication that left me feeling extremely disappointed.
Firstly, I had to constantly reach out to them for updates as they failed to provide any information on the progress of my trade-in. It seemed like my concerns were ignored until I threatened legal action. Only then did I receive a response, and even that was far from satisfactory.
To make matters worse, when they finally acknowledged my claim, they alleged that the parcel had been tampered with. However, they provided no evidence to support this claim, leaving me questioning the legitimacy of their statement. I find it hard to believe that my perfectly packaged phone was suddenly tampered with in transit.
The compensation they offered was well below the value of my device, and it was paid without any explanation or email confirming the payment. It's ironic that it took the threat of legal action for them to respond promptly. This level of poor customer service and lack of transparency is unacceptable.
I have since discovered numerous similar accounts from other customers who have had the same experience. It's disheartening to see that this seems to be a recurring issue. I feel it's important to warn others about the potential risks of dealing with this company and its questionable practices.
I sincerely hope that Music Magpie takes these concerns seriously and addresses the issues faced by their customers.
I urge anyone considering trading with Music Magpie to think twice and explore alternative options that prioritize transparency and customer satisfaction.

MusicMagpie lost my phone order *******
I received a quote from MusicMagpie for my iPhone XS 256GB for £142 on 21/04/2023 and I shipped it off on 26/04/2023.
On 29/04/2023 they sent me a revised offer of £40 citing that the screen is cracked, which I declined and asked for the phone to be returned since I know the phone was in perfect condition when it left me. I bought the phone brand new in 2018, and kept it in a quad lock case with toughened glass protection on it. The only fault was the battery would only last me a day.
Having sustained an injury and ending up with surgery etc. I did not have the time to follow up on why my phone wasn't sent back until 18/05/2023. After not getting anywhere and starting to chase it daily last week, the MusicMagpie team now have no idea where my phone is, and Apple support say they can't help as I removed it from my Apple account therefore I have no serial number or IMEI to ask for it to be blocked.
Please avoid MusicMagpie unless you have valuable items to throw away!
Took over a month to get my money.
Over 2 days to get a response email to my points raised and no phone number.
Even now, with the delay I've had no explanation.
I think if I hadn't kept pushing they'd have not paid me.
A mute company that will never have my trade again, and I'm not alone with my poor review on them.
How they are allowed to get away with stealing(that's my personal view) people's items by basically not paying out!
I was offered £247 for an iPhone 12 in excellent condition I sent the phone in good faith. Silly me.
They notified me that they had paid my money into my account…. Never happened. I have contacted them on numerous occasions NO JOY! They keep coming back with different excuses. They asked me to send copy of bank statement from the date I sent the phone, which I did however I redacted certain info. They came and said this was not the sort code and bank account number they received…. LIERS!
I have asked them to return my phone this request has been ignored……scammers
Please don't use this company! It is beyond me why they are allowed to do this to trusting customers. I suppose I have learned a very hard lesson.
I will not let this go…… I will keep at them until I either get paid or my phone is returned.
Ordered a phone from music magpie, it didn't arrive and royal mail declared it lost in post.
Almost a month later, they are still refusing to refund me.
Avoid.
The last time I had this much trouble getting a refund from a company they went into administration shortly after. 5 weeks and counting just get fobbed off with cut and paste responses
I sent my MacBook Air to Music Magpie, which was tracked and delivered to them on 21st March. Under their terms and conditions, you are meant to get paid the same day if it's delivered to them before 2pm. However, having not received a payment in 6 days, I wrote to their customer service team.
They advised me that they would need to investigate and that I need to send the Serial Number of the Macbook, proof of purchase and the courier receipt. Whilst I thought this was a little strange, I provided them with all of the requested documents.
It's been 27 days and counting and I still haven't had a penny off them. Having read other reviews on here, it appears to be a common activity at Music Magpie, and leads me to believe possible fraudulent activities are taking place.
Looks like I will need to pursue this matter with the authorities and take these scammers to the small claims court to get my money!
DO NOT TRUST A WORD THEY SAY!
They received my order but have decided to just keep my goods for themselves and not pay me. Absolutely furious with this company they are a bunch of crooks. Zero help with customer service also. This company (if that is what you could call it) is a joke. It's illegal and should be shut down.
Bought a ps3 game from seller and noticed that the item was weirdly titled and the description didn't make sense. The advert m didn't make sense like they copy and pasted the info from a website and didn't properly reread what they had written. So I messaged them and said if this is the Japanese version please don't send it. Three days no response and they send it. Anyways they message me and say if its the Japanese version just send it back. Item arrives and its the Japanese version, I create a return ticket and they email me a QR code with no description or info. I eventually after days of messaging they tell me that it needs to be sent to a customer service point. Sent it away and they say it will take 2 days and music magpie will have the info about the return. Over a week later no refund. I contact them and they say it hasn't arrived and are refusing a refund. I've had quite alot of problems with them in the past and this was me giving them another chance but once again really frustrating drawn out poor customer service. I'm really patient but this is a complete joke. I urge anyone who wants to buy from them look elsewhere even if its a few quid more you will save yourself the issue bad customer service and poor quality of the product like scratched discs that are unplayable. Gamers deserve better service then having to deal with shoddy scam artists who treat the customer like a problem. Happy to say il never buy anything from them again and will assure that everyone I know never buys from them too.
Music magpie say they've contacted me regarding the order. I've already contacted ebay and they refunded the money. My response from music magpie after the refund was to wait 7 days to see if the item arrives with them, which is what they've said on three previous occasions, absolutely useless company, don't deserve your money, avoid at all costs.
I sent my order to their warehouse and they said they never received it. Even though Royal Mail had confirmed they had delivered it. They are nothing short of professional thieves who are disingenuous and cannot be trusted. For weeks I tried and tried to resolve this with customer service but they were condescending and dismissive. They had insinuated that I made a mistake and that they cannot find the package even though the items were clearly marked. I would strongly recommend that you DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR SELLING. They are not to be trusted. Do not make the mistake I made and be left out of pocket. Go to a competitor
Vicky from customer services said she'd refund my purchase, and give me a goodwill gesture of £30, she lied and didn't do either. Terrible customer service...
I have previously bought books from this company. Very frequently the books are not delivered. Avoid
Answer: They quote you a price then say it does not pass the quality checks. They will also not send the items back as they get 'recycled'
Answer: On eBay ‘webuybooks' are often much better described in regard to quality, I've had nice quality games (clean and good condition). If there is any minor disc scratches/marks they do state that so we know before purchasing. Their pricing sometimes changes so at times you can get a great deal if your lucky and grab it before someone else does (similar to MM). They don't hold as many games as MM do and won't always beat their price but they have been reliable in my experience
