Ridiculous

Sent in my PS4 which was quoted £90, waited for it to arrive, only to be told there were faulty ports which is news to me. Offered £9 which was ridiculous.

Rejected the offer and got my PS4 back and noticed that they didn't even have the decency to remove some stickers properly that wasn't there when I sent it off. (See photo) so there's a clear disregard for the condition of products that have been rejected.

Wouldn't be surprised if this is someone else's PS4

Unbelievable

Ive sent them a Huawei P30 in absolute pristine condition as my phones are always kept in enclosed cases and with screen protection, it did not have a scratch or any other fault, it was working absolutely fine before i sent it off. Original offer price was 72 which is a bit low but i thought i don't need it ists just in my desk doing nothing... they came back saying that its possible signs of screenburn and the LCD is broken. Ridiculous. Now i just hope i get my phone back. I rather give it to someone that needs it for nothing than to these thieving C... s.

There's a lot I could write in here but explaining all of the things that happened as it took the whole of September and resulting being ''There is nothing we can do, so will ignore your messages from now'' I won't make this longer than they are. So here are some key points to expect for the person using their services.
1. Contacting them- their bot chat doesn't work as it won't transfer you to an actual person, they won't reply to your emails no matter how urgent, and their email links are broken so you won't be able to accept or decline changed offers from them. The only way to contact them is Instagram and even then they will only reply 3 times a day ( if you're lucky) and even then it will be different person each time.
2. They oversell their services to pull you in - They will find issues which are not existing in the device you are selling and drop the value they are willing to pay for. Ive tested items after they have tested them and faults were nonexistent (good thing I requested those back and sold for more). So be cautious.
3. You will suffer for their technical issues within the company- They told me they have a warehouse part where Items go in and can never be returned from ( seriously? Gadget afterlife where nothing has come back? Real professional).
4. Stealing- now I know its a brave statement and I don't know whether its the result of them not doing their job properly or them doing it on purpose. They sell off your items before they have paid you even if you request your item back before it was bought off them, and you will not be compensated for it. Its gone now no matter what you do.

Overall- do not use these services for anything but the recycling center and get rid of your bulk of books, DVDs, anything of value will most likely be undervalued. Also, be ready for long processes as they are anything but quick, which I'm assuming is because of staff shortage in their team which makes me feel really sorry for them working at a company like this. But again its their choice and their commitment.

Well yet again musicmagpie refuse a perfectly good item as faulty. Can't get though to customer service, website is crashed so unable to ask for my phone back. Am know left with the only option to report my goods as stolen, as thrift is the intention to perminantly deprive someone of there goods, and if I can't contact them I can only assume the are stealing my phone. So to the police, and the small claims court it is.

Music magpie took my s21 last year and refused to pay me stating if three didn't unlock it they would class it as stolen. Three didn't unlock it and I never got it back. Do not use these scammer.

Ordered a refurbished xbox pristine condition for it to stop working on the second day. When I've returned it they have said the warranty seal has been broken and there's external damage so the warranty is void and there is nothing they can do. As I've never experienced anything like this I never thought to take photos before sending it back but it was not in that condition when I returned it! After reading other reviews on social media sites its clear they scam people all the time. Absolutely disgusting thing to do to people spending a lot of money on items. Advice anyone to shop elsewhere!

Disgusting excuse of a company stole 20 pounds worth of stuff that they didn't send back after offering 60 less than they initially did. Then said there's nothing they can do about it… customer service is disgraceful also

They keep taking money from your account when you have returned the phone (rental), it is a standing order and they will not cancel it, i will never use this company again and will never have anything to do with it in the future, such an awful company, keep away!

Rented a phone which my fault dropped it, touch screen wouldn't work, contacted them to ask if I was covered, I was not, got a quote to have repaired, but was told musicmagpie had to do that, sent phone back as instructed only to get a whopping bill a 50pound termination fee and also asking for the month rent on top even though I never had phone, I though I was getting phone repaired, pay that fee and have the phone sent back, worst is all my photos etc are on that phone had I known I'd have got it repaired out here, instead of the £268 bill, no phone and no photos

I sold my phone to music magpie over a week ago using their QR code postage option and it has left the post office but hasn't moved from "in transit".

I have tried multiple times to contact music magpie to find out what's going on and if I can claim... no response.

I've tried to claim through their website but they require proof of postage... I can't find my proof of postage. I shouldn't need it anyway as you get an email saying "Thanks for dropping your order off" the second the post office scans your QR code.

I am at a loss of what to do as there is no phone number to contact them and no 'speak to a human' option on their "live chat".

IF YOU WANT HASSLE FREE SELLING, DO NOT USE MUSIC MAGPIE!

Shocking!

Bought a computer in what they said was very good condition. It was dinted and bent. Clearly been dropped. I returned it with all the other stuff I'd bought and they claimed I'd sent back the wrong remote. I simply returned everything they had sent to me! They now won't refund me so I'm out of pocket and have nothing tk show from it. No contact no, emails take forever to reply to and they don't read or look into it. They just fob you off with the same excuse the prior person did. They don't pay any attention tk detail. Absolutely shocking! Don't buy anything from them!. Scammers

I bought a dvd box set. The discs were playing side up leaving them vulnerable to scratches. Secondly the packer had clearly sneezed as it was all over one of the discs. I have tried several phone numbers to complain, the live chat kept cutting out sent an email no reply. What kind of staff are they employing.

I sent them a phone for them to buy for £250 they then put a revised offer in off £40 as lcd broken. This isn't the case as it been in a case and really look after my phones, so got a second opinion on the phone they told me there is nothing wrong with phone and bought it off me for £270 this company is ripping people off that's a difference of £230 saying it was broken
How many people are they doing this to will never use then again

£1k macbook pro sold as pristine condition turned up with 2 dents & misaligned screen. Other marks and rough edge along screen and base. This was never A Grade Pristine condition and had clearly been dropped. It also arrived 3 days late having paid extra for next day express delivery. Customer service was shocking. No phone lines and live chat is staffed by people reading from a script who supplied incorrect information and cut me off. Have bought numerous laptops from Apple Refurb and never had any problems. Will not be using Music Magpie again. Nightmare from start to finish.

Aving been a previous customer of Music Magpie (MM), I elected to sell my pristine Xbox one x console to MM despite higher offers from what I thought to be less reputable online competitor sites.
I accepted £110 for the item and categorised the item as "good" as there was absolutely nothing wrong with it, not even scratches from wear and tear.
I used the Evri/Hermes label provided, used a sturdy box, bubble wrapped each item and labelled the item as "fragile" on each side before shipping.
Shortly after receiving email confirmation that the item had arrived I was shocked and surprised to find that the console condition had been redefined and there was reportedly damage to the casing - the revised offer was 10% of the original offer, £11. Despite MM providing this completely shocking information, no images were presented to confirm the reason for the reclassification. I was simply offered to accept/decline the 10% offer or receive the item back - in for all I know, a completely unusable condition and certainly NOT the pristine condition in which it was sent.

After using the online chat I have since received images of the console showing damage to the casing which was NOT present at time of sending. Clearly, this damage occurred during transit, or after it arrived to MM. As T&C 12.1 states, items that are sent are insured up to the value of the valuation, in this case £110.
Music Magpie refuse to honour the initial quotation and I am therefore left with accepting just 10% or receiving my console back in what could be a completely unusable condition. Music Magpie have accepted no liability for the damage which occured during transit or after delivery, and also refuse to claim from Evri/Hermes, the courier company,

I'd urge everyone to avoid using Music Magpie at all costs.

If you value you data protection don't give them any, this company is incompetent, useless and I wish I had never heard of them, they double bill me every month in error, there is no one to talk to, and they have no regard for the FCA who govern them DONT DO IT!

Sent a tablet off before with no issues then sent my husbands Samsung S20 packaged well in its original box initially offered £200 always had a screen protector and cover on it no scratches like new, they revised the offer to £40 because apparently the screen was damaged. Initially we thought it got damaged in transit we asked for photos as we were shocked at how it could be damaged being in a box. Thank goodness we read these reviews as we declined and they sent it back and would you believe it nothing wrong with the screen! Absolute crooks! We are now taking it to CEX I'll settle for less money, would give no stars if I could! Please avoid not worth the hassle.
