7p for a Roy Orbison cd album, others were 12p or even 16p for mint, wrapped cd albums. Not worth my while really...
Be careful with music magpie, they don't fully check tech fully works.
I tried selling them my old huewei mate 20 pro to them, quoted £125 and requested a returns packaging. On their site, they Don't have good enough options to determine how good or bad the phone condition is in, example power on, screen have scratches or cracks, case broken or cracks, only 3 options. A rival company (Mazuma mobile) has much more better options which are much more realistic for returning/selling 2nd hand items.
When they received it, they said it had "deep multiple scratches" and due to that re offered me £35! Even though the phone was fully working and operational- what its designed to do. This company cares more about how the phone looks rather than what it's capable of and we all know you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.
I refused the new offer and asked them to return it to me free of charge (1 star rating for that at least).
When I received my old phone back, I checked the Android Boot logs and it wasn't booted up at all from anytime in their hands, only setup mode. Plus I did declare it had a few scratches, none of which effected the phone.
I had their customer service contact me after this review and I asked to show proof they tested the phone fully and was sent a picture of setup mode running. I questioned whether they tested it fully from Bluetooth to GPS to mobile service signal and was treated like a baby with a essay that sums up like we can assure you it was tested you silly little boy! So patronising and demeaning to someone who knows what he is on about (self taught over 18 years) and when they got caught short, trying going "yeah, whatever silly boy"
I'm sorry but if you buy tech from these, be careful and please check if it can call or txt out, that the WiFi network works as well as Bluetooth cos it seems they don't fully test the technology as what it's manufactured for.
Stay away from this company, shoddy /bone idol work and not really a good website to trade in tech that can be in alsorts of conditions and shapes.
I managed to sell it for £125 with Mazuma mobile
USE ANOTHER SERVICE! - scam THEY WILL NOT RETURN YOUR PHONE WHEN THEY DECIDE THEY DONT WANT TO PAY YOU THE QUOTED PRICE.
My boyfriend sent an iPhone 11 to you months ago and we are as of yet still awaiting payment which I don't think we'll ever receive.
From start to finish, our experience with you has been abominable, and quite frankly you are not fit for purpose.
After 2 weeks of sending the phone and receiving nothing we queried it with you- no phone contact, just pointless emails- in which we were accused of fraud, a disgusting way to treat your customers. One of your assistances claimed she had spoken to Royal Mail, and they had said they had not received or sent the parcel. This was an absolute lie. We have spoken to Royal Mail ourselves who have said they have not had any contact with you over this issue. You then refused to help us.
After going down a legal route, it did get your bum into gear a bit more, but you claimed that because the weight of the parcel was a little below what you expected an iPhone 11 to weigh you weren't going to help us further.
We then got the serial number of the phone which we have given you, and now because there is an iCloud account in use you are accusing us of never sending the phone… I am absolutely appalled. The phone has been stolen, and I'm pretty sure it's by someone in your warehouse, and you are refusing to do anything. It's obvious the phone has been stolen. We have proof of postage, proof of changing contracts to an iPhone 12, serial number of the phone, emails between us and Royal Mail, legal action… everything you've asked for and yet you won't do anything and are accusing us constantly of fraud.
But what is more irritating is your pathetic excuse for customer service. Just useless, badly written emails, with no use of common sense or basic level intelligence.
It now looks like we will never get the £350 for this phone, and asking around, people have had very similar experiences with your company, strange that.
All in all, not only are you thieves, but it seems you also make a habit of lying to your customers. I think you're company is not fit for purpose, and there is obviously an issue with staff members stealing, and you're doing nothing about it.
I hope this review helps people decide against buying, and most certainly selling to you. Because, I promise you will have some kind of issue with this company. We just seem to have had a particularly awful experience.
Ordered from the seller through Abebooks. Com. Item never arrived, no tracking info provided. Reached out to the seller multiple times and they finally refunded the purchase cost but not the shipping, which Abebooks clearly states shipping costs are refunded if an item never arrives. They refused to return the shipping costs. Abebooks unfortunately doesn't really seem to have any customer service so they aren't doing anything about it either. Scam companies do not buy from them.
Answer: They quote you a price then say it does not pass the quality checks. They will also not send the items back as they get 'recycled'
Answer: On eBay ‘webuybooks' are often much better described in regard to quality, I've had nice quality games (clean and good condition). If there is any minor disc scratches/marks they do state that so we know before purchasing. Their pricing sometimes changes so at times you can get a great deal if your lucky and grab it before someone else does (similar to MM). They don't hold as many games as MM do and won't always beat their price but they have been reliable in my experience
