My cell phone photos came out looking like professional photos. The quality is amazing, with fantastic colors and crispness. Photos are very sturdily packaged (not rolled, but sent flat in a box). Surprisingly, each time I've ordered I've received my photos three days later. When I accidentally ordered the wrong size photo, I contacted customer service to ask if I could return the photo and pay the difference for the next largest size. Instead, they offered to let me keep the photo and then sent me a coupon code for 50% off the size I wanted. That photo arrived in three days as well. I can't recommend enough!
The photo I ordered printed blurry, and was not shipped as promised. When I contacted customer support both representatives, asking to be refunded for the extra money I paid to ship it in one business day when it in fact took four, they were demeaning and nasty. The head of customer service actually asked me if I work in a business, then told me that I should know that a business's top priority is to make money. Will never use them again, knowing that if I am not satisfied in the future they will not be helpful.
I use to love Mpix. I have some amazing photos in my house by going through Mpix. This past week
Is the second time in about two years that I received picture that were not what I paid for. When I tried to get a refund I was basically told to pound sand. They want me to jump through hoops and even pay to have the photos sent back to them. As long as your picture turns out good, then they are good. If they mess up your pictures your in for a long battle to get your money back. Very poor customer service!
Designed a photobook on mpix. Added it to the cart and purchased it. Almost immediately I realized I forgot something and sent them an email. My response was "Sorry we cannot make any changes" Really, I don't think so. I'll go elsewhere now.
For some reasons, on one part of my son's graduation announcement, it filled in black where white had been. I immediately contacted them and sent a picture of what was wrong. Plus, the paper was some poor quality card stock. They acknowledged their mistake and said they would reprint immediately and send out. However, they then "forgot" over and over again. After a week, I told them to issue me a refund so I could go elsewhere. At this point, they chose to not respond and ignore more. I have had to dispute the charge on my credit card. Never ever use this place! Their product is poor quality, and they obviously have some sort of odd issues that they autofilled in the white with black. And they refuse to fix their own mistakes.
I ordered over 200 pictures for my son's graduation from Mpix, based on a photographer's' recommendation. However, the quality of the wallets I received was very disappointing. Their photo paper is super thin, even thinner than a regular photo you would get at any other retailer for photos. It is wobbly in your hand when you move it! I am embarrassed to hand these out, honestly, but due to the timeline of our events, I am stuck with them. They are nothing like other senior pictures I received from friends. The website showed them stacked thick, and I feel it was not accurately represented. Also, the printing on them is quite small and very hard to even notice, and I made it as big & bold as it allowed. I am disappointed I decided to try a new company for such an important event to us, and assumed paying more than competitors would generally warrant higher quality.
I agree completely with Cynithia's review below. I've been using Mpix for many years and have been happy overall with just a few hiccups. 2 weeks ago I placed the largest order I have ever placed (about $800 worth of wall prints). The prints came out inconsistent and not what I ordered. I had very specific proof that it was not my photos but their printing but still they kept trying to put the blame on me even though the proof was irrefutable. Not once did they say "sorry" or apologize for anything. Like Cynthia I hate to agree that if everything works out they are great, but when there is a problem they ultimately fail at helping you resolve it. At this point I have sent back the prints after hounding them for a couple days and been waiting a week with no response from them at all. Way to treat your longtime customers Mpix!
Update - thank you for your reply Matt. And thank you for trying to be understanding of the situation, sometimes that is all that a customer wants. Thanks again.
Chad, I am very sorry for your experience. I will have our lead customer service rep look into this issue.
This was the worst quality and service I've ever experienced. I ordered two 20x30 wedding photos. The shipment came and the pictures were creased down the middle. I was very surprised. So we had them redone. The second batch came and the picture was literally taped with a corner folded down causing one of the prints to rip! I can't make this up. When I contacted them I asked for someone to call me directly to discuss and requested a discount on now the third order. They refused saying they don't offer customer service via phone and also refused any discount- they tried saying the taped corner damage was damage as a result of shipping.
I wish I could attach the photos to this review so you could see the clear damage... NEVER use Mpix. Quality is horrible and they have no customer service
Hi Steph! We are very sorry for your experience, our lead customer service rep will be looking into this issue.
Smooth and easy order process. Would highly recommend for good quality prints. I purchased 40 prints and better yet there was a july 25% off print promo going on so I got a great deal!
I ordered my Daughters graduation pictures from Mpix. They got to my home in just a few days and they were great. I would order from Mpix again.
I have been a loyal customer of Mpix for over a year now. I have ordered items ranging from digital prints to party invitations to calendars. Recently, I ordered the wrong version of a bridal shower invitation but I didn't notice until the next day. Within 24 hours of emailing customer service, Tom was able to print the correct party invitation which saved me time to re-order and $40.00! I will never buy photography products from another company. Thanks Mpix!
After using Shutterfly forever, about two years ago I switched to using mpix due to the quality of products on their site. I've never had an issue with a product or delivery, until this month, when UPS totally screwed up delivery of my treasured Christmas gifts. To summarize a long story -- due to my chronically ill child being hospitalized, I wasn't able to work on the delivery issue right away. I then only had one week left before Christmas. I contacted mpix customer service and explained I never got the order, and could they help me? I fully expected that the answer would be "sorry, no." But to my surprise, they re-made my entire order and re-shipped it with expedited delivery so that I would have the items before Christmas! I was so blown away by their kindness and professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure that I was happy. I didn't think there was even a 1% chance that a company these days would even care that this happened... to my shock, mpix really did care. On top of that, their products are gorgeous and so worth every penny! I fully recommend giving them a shot.
I've only used mpix once so far, but I've been hearing about how great they are for years from fellow photographers. I ordered a framed photo for a friend's wedding gift. With shipping costs-- it was pricey, but I knew it'd be something she wouldn't do on her own. The framed photo I received had some scratch lines down the photo. I contacted mpix customer service and told them I'd just like a new print and I can replace it in the frame. In less than two days, I received a whole new frame with a beautiful new photograph. They didn't even want me to send back the old frame! I will definitely use this company again!
Found this site here on sitejabber and ordered a few prints. So much better than what I get from costco. Never used a pro print place before and the difference is amazing. I wouldn't bother with your typical throw away prints as the prices are higher but good for the keepers.
My review is based just on the product I ordered. Not on the company. They were wonderful, receptive customer service is amazing. With that said, I ordered a piece called a stand out. It's quite expensive but the quality is poor. The board bows and does not sit flush against the wall. And the picture started peeling from the board within a couple of days. Definitely not worth the money and really disappointed.
I've placed several orders for giclée prints, matted & framed and with glass. The quality is excellent, the price is reasonable & every order has been extremely well packed.
I had ordered from them before and the pictures and frames looked great. This time my order came in and the frame was put together incorrectly and damaged the frame and photo. I was disappointed and didn't really expect them to do much but I took some pictures of the damage and emailed MPIX customer service. No hassle, they just said we will send you a replacement right away. New one arrived a few days later in perfect condition. Great customer service so I will continue ordering from them.
I have purchased great photos that I am very happy with from this firm but the ordering experience on the website is really poor. When you have a problem they ask which device, browser, version etc that you are using but trust me - it does not matter. I have used many combinations with the same lousy results.
I tried to order several 8x12 metallic prints but duplicates appeared in my order that I was unable to remove. I checked the "Remove Item" box and nothing happened. Tried to change the quantity to zero and ended up with 10!... that I was then unable to change. Perhaps there was another way to do this but I never found it. Just left my cart full and I'm not going back... too much trouble. Its a shame too, because their photos are really good. Some other firm out there will have both - great quality prints and a good website. I am looking for them now.
I used to use Kodakgallery. Then I decided to be cheap and use Snapfish. I'm not sure why Snapfish has such great ratings on the net. Their prints are terrible, cheap paper, weak colors, you get what little you pay for. So I finally decided to try some other place and spend some more money. I gave Mpix a try and have to say I am pleasantly surprised. Their prints are sharp with vivid true colors. They also ship fast and the pictures are very well packaged in cardboard, compared to the cheapo sites which send them in soft envelopes. Absolutely worth the money. I may try some other sites to see how they compare, but unless I find something that is around the same price and better quality, I'll probably stick with Mpix.
I've used this lab on and off for a few years. Recently, every print that I send comes back with some kind of error - either borders are cut off, the print is not centered on the mount, or borders are showing where they shouldn't be. I've had to request do-overs for several prints. I'm done with this lab. Their technicians, who package up the prints, obviously either don't pay attention to what they are doing or don't care about producing horrible work. I will never use them again.
Karen, we are very sorry for your experience. Please reach out to us at info@mpix.com so we can make this up to you.
Answer: The pictures I had developed her professionally taken and I couldn't be happier with the quality. They turned out beautifully. And I got 4x6 all the way to 12x16 developed.
