I recently made a payment of $14.99 for what I believed was an unlocking service for my phone. However, it turned out to be an "illegibility check" related to unlocking from a specific carrier. The service was not clearly explained, and I felt misled. I would not have paid for it had I known the true nature of the service.
They will check your phone imei status and make sure everything is ok and legit and they will check with network and if it fails with the manufacturer. So at the end you will get your code.

I was so skeptic as I have tried other unlocking companies and they were all fraud. So initially I did the standard service unlock and it didn't work because the phone was in contract with AT&T. So the Premium Service unlock was offered to me, which required an additional amount to be paid( I was so scared this was another scam) however I proceeded, I was informed the unlock would take 7 days. To my surprised it was unlock in 5 days, I highly recommend there's services!

My iPhone 7 was unlocked so overall no complaints, it was my fault for not realising it can take so long but it took around a week for my phone to be unlocked and said 'overdue' on my updates the entire time, it does say this can happen and is normal process on the website but in my haste I hadn't realised so was disappointed it wasn't done straight away. Nonetheless my phone was unlocked and I was kept undated every step of the way so would use this service again if needed.
Scam artists. The price you pay is only to see if your phone isnt stolen, etc which you already knew! They then charge more than the carriers to unlock which Im assuming most do not. If you pay the 100 euro fee they REALLY CHARGE then you are a mug as its 25 euro in the local shops.
Of course they will write a generic reply that the check is needed, well in person shops dont need it and if you do then it should be FREE and then a clear and transparant price can be either agreed or not. In fact Im going to issue a chargeback

Following you last email, I enclose a photo that verifies the phones IMIE that is also printed in it's battery compartment which I sent to you at the beginning of this exercise.
I have since taken a copy of your email instructions & unlock code provided to a local phone shop.
They tried the instructions using O2, EE & Three sim cards. It came up with the same error message as my first SIM.
They told me "if we could not unlock your phone we would give you a full refund", so suggested I ask you for a refund.

My Dad wanted to move provider from O2 to Smarty mobile. The phone was locked to O2 but by using MobileUnlocks I was able to move networks with ease. The onscreen instructions were simple and I was kept upto date with how long it would take for the phone to be unlocked.

It works very well and I was able to use other SIM cards in my UK phone while travelling in Africa, BUT mind you there is an extra charge HIDDEN COSTS on top of the one they initially advertise. First they charge you to check whether it can be done on your phone, then they charge you to complete the entire job.

I was dissatisfied with was the cost. Firstly I payed just over £13 then to go on to pay another £26 was discusseding which I could got done at a shop for the first amount I paid so for that I was not a happy person.
