“Quick and easy unlocking.”

Gloria M.

My phone being locked by an unknown service provider was starting to be a problem for me. Unsure where to go I did an online search and came across Mobile Unlocks which sounded just what I needed. The directions and information to unlock given by the company was clearly set out from the start so with that sorted I commenced the process. It was seamless, quick and efficient and my phone was unlocked within the time stated. Communication was very good too. New SIM works perfectly now. Job done thanks.

I will never ever recommend anyone to MobileUnlocks. They are scammers. First they charge you $15 dollars, without mentioning that it is only a first stage, and later they charge again $50 more, and later they ask you to pay $300 more for their "premium" service, what's the point of asking for a verification payment of $15 if at the end they will ask for $300 more?. They stole my hard earned money through dubious means and denied any refund. Thieves!

Not sure if it's a scam, I've ordered unlock my iphone 3 days ago from mobileunlocks.com but it's still in process. The website says the process will take 1-24 hours when I order it. I have emailed them yesterday asking for refund but haven't got any response. I've just emailed them again. Be careful with website. And another tricky thing is that when you choose unlock phone button, you will be given status check order instead of Unlock.

Tip for consumers:

Hi Oscar,

I'm truly sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with our service. I understand it can be frustrating when the costs seem to add up. I want to help by clarifying why there were different stages and payments involved.

Initially, the $14.99 you paid was for the Eligibility Check, which ensures your iPhone 13 Pro meets the network criteria for unlocking. Following that, the $50 payment covered the Standard Unlock service. The additional $300 you mentioned is for the Premium Service, which is sometimes necessary if the device doesn't meet certain criteria – this is outlined on our checkout page for transparency.

I would like to assure you that all costs are communicated upfront during the purchasing process, and we strive to provide clear information on what each service entails.

As your order status indicates "Awaiting Payment for Premium Service," it seems your phone might require this additional service to complete the unlocking process. I'd be happy to help you understand the benefits better and assist you with any further steps.

If you decide not to proceed with the Premium Service, we understand. However, according to our terms and conditions, we normally can't offer refunds for the Eligibility Check and the initial Standard Unlock payment, as our services have been rendered. Nevertheless, we value your satisfaction greatly, and if you encounter any issues that line up with our Refund Policy (e.g., a service failure), we would certainly honor it.

Please let us know how you wish to proceed or if there's anything else we can do to assist you. Our goal is to unlock your device and ensure you're pleased with the outcome.

Kind regards,
Charlotte

They are scammers don't pay for them. First they will ask you to pay 14.99$ to check if they can unlock your device after that they said your device is eligible to unlock and you have to pay another 50$ to unlock it. After waiting for 8 days they will say your device cannot be unlock and we will give you a credit note! I asked them to refund my money back to my credit card they said our policy said we can't refund the money. Please don't believe this scammers.

Hello there,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I'm sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with our service. It's important to us that our customers have a clear understanding of our process and policies from the start.

As stated in our terms and conditions, the initial payment of $14.99 is for the eligibility check to ensure your device can be unlocked. If the device is eligible, the further payment of $50 is for the actual unlocking service. These steps are laid out to ensure transparency before any purchase is made.

I understand that an 8-day wait can be frustrating, and I apologize for any inconvenience you might have experienced. Upon the unsuccessful unlock attempt, our policy is to issue a credit note, as refunds are only provided under specific conditions. This is in line with our refund policy and is mentioned in our terms under section 7 of the T&Cs which you can refer to for detailed information.

We are committed to delivering a positive experience and would like to ensure your concerns are addressed. If your device meets our refund criteria listed in our Refund Policy, we are more than willing to work through those options with you.

As I don't have any reference or IMEI number in your message, I'm unable to look into your order specifically. Please use the Live Support feature on your tracking page, so our team can assist you further and resolve this matter to your satisfaction.

Best regards,
Charlotte

It was a tortuous process, a lot of information required, difficult experience. Part way through £11.99 was demanded to continue. No mention of payment was made at the beginning. Eventually decided to continue, finally got to 50% completed when a second demand for payment was made £26! We wondered if any more demands would be made. Eventually decided to continue but felt like I had been mugged. It was a second hand phone and did not know this would happen.

Reason I chose this business:

Google told us how to unlock the phone

Reason I chose this product:

I was happy with the phone it was unlocking it from EE presumably was the problem

Hello Mrs Boulter,

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience with unlocking your Huawei Mate 20 lite from EE UK. I'm really sorry to hear that you found the process challenging and that the payment stages were not as clear as you had hoped from the beginning.

I understand that there was an initial payment of £11.99 for the Eligibility Check to ensure that your phone could be unlocked, followed by a £26 payment for the Standard Unlock service. I want to assure you that it is standard procedure to perform an eligibility check first, then proceed to the unlocking phase, as outlined in the terms and conditions.

Your order status is showing as "Unlock Complete," which means your Huawei Mate 20 lite should now be unlocked with the code provided. If your phone is not asking for an unlocking code, there is an alternative service available, namely the Remote USB Unlock, though that would require an additional fee as indicated in your order status.

If there are any problems using the code "1662056217464223" or with the unlocking process, we do have support available to assist you further and ensure your phone is unlocked successfully.

Thank you for choosing our services to unlock your device, and we are committed to ensuring that your experience ends positively. If you need additional support, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Warm regards,
Charlotte

Scam artists. The price you pay is only to see if your phone isnt stolen, etc which you already knew! They then charge more than the carriers to unlock which Im assuming most do not. If you pay the 100 euro fee they REALLY CHARGE then you are a mug as its 25 euro in the local shops.

Of course they will write a generic reply that the check is needed, well in person shops dont need it and if you do then it should be FREE and then a clear and transparant price can be either agreed or not. In fact Im going to issue a chargeback

Hello Karl,

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We understand that you're feeling frustrated about the process and costs associated with unlocking your Huawei P8 Lite. Please allow me to clarify the procedure we follow at MobileUnlocks.

The initial €13.49 payment you made was for the Eligibility Check, which ensures that your phone is not blacklisted, stolen, or has any other issues that might prevent an unlock from being successful. This step is crucial to avoid any unnecessary unlock attempts that are destined to fail, which can happen when certain checks are not performed beforehand.

It's worth mentioning that while some local shops may not require an Eligibility Check, our online service caters to a wide array of customers who might not have the same access to in-person services, and hence the Eligibility Check is a safeguard for both parties involved.

The actual unlocking payment is separate, and all costs are clearly outlined on the checkout page before you decide to proceed. We aim to be transparent with our pricing and procedures, and we sincerely regret any misunderstanding in this regard.

Your current order status indicates that you've paid for the Eligibility Check and are awaiting the Unlocking Payment to proceed. If you don't wish to continue with us for any reason, it's important to note that the Eligibility Check is non-refundable as stated in our terms and conditions due to the costs incurred in performing this service.

We hope that you'll consider the value of the comprehensive checks we provide and allow us to assist you further in unlocking your phone. If you have any more questions or if there's anything specific you'd like us to address, please feel free to reach out.

Best regards,
Charlotte

I paid like $15 dollars for a old iphone unlock, then after few minutes it ask for another "Final payment" of $50 dollars, the phone itself worth no more than $75 dollars so I won't do that, they are just ask money from you.
So I think this is a phishing site, keep away from it, if there is 0 rating I'll choose it

Hello there,

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns, and I'm sorry to hear that the process has not met your expectations. When you made your initial payment of $15, this covered the Eligibility Check to ensure your iPhone can be unlocked. This step is crucial for us to proceed safely without risking your device's usability or violating any service terms.

Additionally, as outlined clearly on the checkout page before purchase, unlocking an iPhone involves two stages: the Eligibility Check first, followed by the Unlocking Payment. This two-step process is standard for our service as it helps us to tailor the unlock specifically to your device's requirements.

While I understand your hesitation given the value of the phone, our goal is to provide a reliable and official unlocking service that maintains the integrity and security of your device. This is a legitimate process, and certainly not a phishing attempt.

If you have any further questions or would like to discuss how we can make this right for you, we would be grateful for the chance to help. It's important to us that your experience is positive, even if you decide not to proceed with the final unlocking payment. Please remember to have your IMEI ready and reach out to our Live Support via your tracking page for any specific assistance related to your order.

Hello Latasha Wilson,

I'm truly sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience with the unlocking process for your Galaxy A53 5G. I understand that it can be frustrating, especially when things do not go as anticipated. In reviewing your order status, it seems that your phone has been reported as not unlocked and we are awaiting your feedback.

We do our best to outline all potential costs at the checkout page, which includes an Eligibility Check followed by an Unlocking Payment. Since your device did not prompt for an unlocking code, it appears that a standard code unlock won't be possible, and a Remote USB Unlock service may be necessary to proceed.

I realize this isn't the news you wanted, but we are committed to helping you use your preferred phone. I encourage you to continue the process and utilize the codes provided, or consider the Remote USB Unlock service which is designed to work with your device type. This additional step might be the solution needed to unlock your phone.

Should you encounter any issues with the Remote USB service, our refund policy ensures you can receive a refund if the service doesn't work or is incompatible. Despite the difficulties, I'd like the opportunity to turn this experience around for you and ensure your old phone is unlocked and ready for use. Please don't hesitate to contact us with the outcome or if you require further assistance.

Kind regards,
Charlotte

Hi Dumisani V Dhliwayo,

I'm sorry to hear that you've had an unsuccessful experience trying to unlock your Oppo A72. I understand that a smooth process is what you were looking for, and it's concerning to hear that follow-up communication wasn't as responsive as expected.

Your order status indicates that it is "Reported as Not Unlocked, waiting customer feedback," which suggests we're at a crucial stage where your input is vital. The unlocking codes provided to you are "12535131". If you’ve already attempted these with no success, we’re ready to assist further.

As outlined in our Refund Policy, if "having worked with our technician to get the code to work, and we cannot get the code to work, you'll be refunded." Please reach out to us with your feedback on the code usage, and our technicians will be more than eager to guide you through any additional steps that might be necessary.

If we ultimately find that the code is incorrect and we're unable to unlock your device, a refund will be processed according to the policy terms. We're committed to resolving this for you and converting your experience to a positive one.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Best regards,
Charlotte

Avoid, they claim the initial charge is just to see if they can unlock the phone. This isn't made clear or stated anywhere on the order page but they cover themselves by having in the T&C. Then once the code is ready they want a further 34£ to release the unlock code. Complete scam.

On the home page, you enter your IMEI number and the company to which your phone is locked. You then go in to their payment page and give them the fee previously quoted ( in my case £12.99). After a couple of hours, they then ask for details to verify your identity (driver's licence, passport etc) and, once you have provided this, they come back requiring a further £24.00 before they will give you the code you need. It, therefore, will set you back over £35 to get the codes required, rather than the £12.99 you are led to believe it will cost. In most cases, this is more than the worth of the 'phone. BE WARNED - this is just a scam.

Don't use them. They advertised one price and then it turned out to be a few pounds more, then there was another payment and then a third. Ended up costing about 5 times the advertised price.

Finally, they offered to pay for me to leave a positive review. I would rather forego that and let people know what this company was like to deal with.

Reason I chose this business:

Price - which was misleading.

Dear Jonathan Rose,

I'm so sorry to hear that your experience with us didn't match your expectations due to the pricing concerns. It's important to us that our pricing is transparent, and I'm here to clarify any confusion.

The initial amount of £11.99 you paid was for the Eligibility Check to ensure your iPhone XS could be unlocked from EE UK. Following that, the Standard Unlock fee of £26 was the actual service cost to unlock your device. All costs are clearly outlined on our checkout page before any purchase is finalized to make sure there's no surprise for our customers.

I understand that no one enjoys unexpected costs, but I assure you our aim is to be as upfront as possible with all potential fees. I'm glad to inform you that your unlock is complete, and I would love to guide you through any further steps to ensure you have a positive experience with your now-unlocked iPhone.

If there's anything more we can support you with or any additional information you require, please let us know. We value your satisfaction highly and hope to convert your experience into a more positive one.

Your feedback on our service is greatly appreciated, and I hope we can have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

I paid for the initial eligibility check. No problem. Their service ran a scan, and came up with my phone's details. Was prompted to pay an additional $50. I thought since they could get detailed info about my phone, they should be legit. I was prompted to wait a few days. When I checked back, I got a message that said my phone was hard locked, and they need to have a service tech do an unlock for another $150! Seems like a scam to me.

I used mobileUnlocks service thinking they would provide a quick and easy service. They guaranteed that the phone would be unlocked (100%)

The bill was £11.99
On the same day a further bill was charged for £24.00

Two days went by...
Then they demanded another £40 because vodafone rejected the unlocking because the phone wasn;t purchased from vodafone, and required payment.
The phone was purchased from vodafone.
I didn't pay because this did not seem right.
I went to the trouble of contacting vodafone directly, and easily obtained an unloack code within 30 minutes FOR FREE
That's right. The code was easy to obtain and vodafone did not charge a penny for it.

Paid $14 for a service that was clearly described a sim unlock. After paid, the asked for $69 more. According to them, the $14 step was for a "Pre-Order IMEI Unlock", so in order to "Unlock" I had to pay more! In addition, there's absolutely no way to recover your money. STAY AWAY, they are scammers. Confirmed.

Tip for consumers:
Their site is MISLEADING. They offer an unlock for a price. After you pay, then they describe it as a "Pre-Order IMEI Unlock", then they ask you for way more money. The "unlock" is never performed. In addition they don't warn you that what you are paying at first is a "pre-order" service, not the actual "unlock" which is misleading. A form of scam.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. I'm sorry to hear about the confusion regarding the charges for our unlocking services.

The initial payment you made covers the cost of the Eligibility Check, which is a necessary step in our unlocking process. We always strive to be transparent about our service structure, which includes an Eligibility Check followed by an Unlocking Payment, and these costs are outlined on the checkout page prior to purchase.

We understand that the additional payment required for the actual unlock service can be surprising, but please rest assured that this two-step process is standard practice to ensure that your phone can be successfully unlocked.

Your unlock is currently awaiting the final payment, and we urge you to consider completing this step so we can proceed with the service you initially sought. Our team is here to support you throughout this process, and we would like to help you achieve a positive outcome.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with the next steps, please do not hesitate to contact our Live Support through your tracking page. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we're committed to making sure we can address your needs appropriately.

This company needs to be shut down! I don't understand how they keep scamming people and are allowed to continue on and on with it! I want to know #1 how to get my full refund because I am not going to spend "the final payment" of $47.00 after spending $28.99 which is what I thought the cost was to begin with then they are going to ask for more money after the $47 "final payment". They sent me an email with my device model (Motorola) and model number at the top of it then by the end of the email they were saying that I had a Samsung S20...WHAT? I just want my $28.99 back. I won't spend more than that on this site! Glad I didn't! Hope no one else does! I hope they get shut down completely because someone's getting rich off this crap and it's not right at all! They haven't gotten a good review in the last YEAR AND ARE STILL ACTIVELY SCAMMING PEOPLE! UNBELIEVABLE! Wish I could write a review on the website itself...apparently the owners are the only ones who can do that. I HATE THAT I HAD TO GIVE THEM ONE STAR IN ORDER TO POST THIS BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE GAVE THEM NEGATIVE STARS IF IT WAS POSSIBLE. Ive already gotten ripped off with a locked phone that I paid for and can't use my service on now I got ripped off trying to get it unlocked.

Tip for consumers:
I wish I would've known they wouldnt give me the full refund as promised before I gave them my money. I work too hard for my money to just get taken by scammers online for a service that I needed really badly right now!!

S23 Ultra on AT&T. Passed your $15 "check". Paid for the full unlock, but was told the device was "hard-locked" because it would not ask for an unlock code when changing SIMs. Verified on video that it does ask for a code, and have asked for a refund multiple times in the last 2 weeks with no response.
Posted a poor review on their site (which is there for me) but when I use another browser and VPN, they have it removed for other people, view pictures.

I am still in dispute with them after 2 weeks without a phone as the unlock codes did not work.
I have sent them no less than 17 emails as I have not had even so much as a confirmation that they are dealing with the issue of the wrong unlock codes being sent out.
The only thing I will say that I am pleased about with them, is that I could pay with Paypal so that I am covered by them with their buyer protection policy.
If you are considering using mobileunlocks.com, then I suggest you use Paypal to pay also. At least you have a chance at getting your money back by doing so.

In my experience? They are just another one of the many fraudulent unlock companies out there that just take your money and when they've done this to enough people, they'll shut down and keep the cash.

SCUM.

Tip for consumers:
If you do get duped by their lower prices and decide to give them a go, USE PAYPAL!!
At least if it goes wrong you can claim your money back from fraudulent companies

The website advertised unlocking my phone from £7.99, on that basis I proceeded, I then got a charge of £12.99, it was more than I expected but I proceeded. The app then went through a check list, it then asked for a further £26 to unlock the phone, totaling nearly £39. I would have pulled out of the transaction but the,£12.99 was non refundable so I felt was committed to the deal.
My other ee phone was locked and ee unlocked it for free, so I am a bit disappointed to say the least. I feel this company is underhanded.

Reason I chose this business:

Because they offered unlocking for £7.99

Reason I chose this product:

It seemed good value on the face of it but this turned out to be a sprat to catch a macrel.

Hi Alfonso Ben,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I understand your concerns regarding the payment structure and I would like to clarify a few things to help resolve any confusion.

You’ve successfully made a payment of €13.49 for the Eligibility Check on your Nokia 2720a-2 from Orange Spain. This step verifies that your phone can indeed be unlocked. As outlined on our checkout page prior to purchase, after the Eligibility Check, there’s an Unlocking Payment that's required to proceed with the actual unlocking service.

The cost of the Eligibility Check and the final unlocking fee are segmented to ensure that your handset is eligible before any additional commitments are made.

While there are different levels of service and pricing across various websites, our aim is to supply a reliable and official service that complies with all relevant laws and network regulations.

We appreciate your business and would like to encourage completing the process with the final unlock payment of €51, as your order is now at the stage of "Only paid for Eligibility Check, awaiting Unlocking Payment".

Our team works diligently to ensure a positive experience and we assure you of our commitment to helping you unlock your phone. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Warm regards,

Charlotte

First they charge 15 dollars for checking the eligibility. Then i paid another 50 dollars to unlock my device career. Then they further asked me to pay 174 dollars as the unlocking was on discount and I paid it. Now after 14 $#*!ing days they are telling me that I need to pay them 161 more $#*!ing dollars to be able to unlock my phone. Or they are offering me a credit on their store which is of no use to me as it a $#*!ty website.

Initially charged £12, but it did not say that they were charging for the eligibility check. Then they asked for another £33 to unlock the phone Total of £45 I paid. I paid the full amount but O2 unlocked my phone. I provided all evidence to mobile unlocks still they refused my money back. They don't have dedicated customer service support, only contacted them via live chat and waited for the reply, it took hours and meanwhile, and I couldn't talk to them. I couldn't find a telephone number or email address to contact them. I would not recommend to anyone, please stay away from these scammers.

Very bad and ignorant customer service.

Reason I chose this business:

I thought it will cost only £11.99 to unlock. Check before deal with them.

Reason I chose this product:

I chose them accidentally, I never use these scammers again.

Customer Service R. – MobileUnlocks Rep

Hello T Suren,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear your experience hasn't been as expected. It certainly isn't our intention to cause any inconvenience.

Regarding the costs involved, we do ensure all fees are clearly outlined during the checkout process. Our service involves an initial Eligibility Check followed by an Unlocking Payment. Your payments of £11.99 and £33 align with this structure for your iPhone 7 Plus on O2 UK.

Since your order status is "Unlock Complete", it appears that we have successfully provided the unlocking service. However, if O2 has unlocked your device independently, this could qualify as already unlocked – typically not eligible for a refund as per our Refund Policy.

On the communication front, we acknowledge the importance of timely and effective customer service. We do our best through live chat and aim to improve continually.

We appreciate your choice to utilize our services, even if it was accidental. Our goal is to resolve your concerns to your satisfaction without additional expense. Since the unlock is complete, perhaps we can assist you with another device or service in the future, to extend the value of your experience with us.

Your feedback is invaluable, and we're committed to learning from your experience to better serve our customers. If there is anything specific that we can address or assist you with at this point, please reach out through our live chat support, and we will make every effort to assist you promptly.

Best regards,
The MobileUnlocks Team
