Perhaps the worst customer service of all time? Been contacting MLB about two game used baseballs that sported the MLB hologram but weren't in their system for over ten years now (crazy, isn't it?) and still haven't gotten a resolution. Hilarious, right? Started way back in 2014 with a customer rep named Howard Shelton, now the customer service agents decline to use their names, which is understandable given how awful the service they provide is. Latest exchange involved me sending in pictures of the balls and holograms (again), and then told... and this is word for word from the un-named agent... "Please continue to check the website for updates." Over ten years. "Just keep checking the website" sounds like someone doesn't want to do their job, does it?
MLB.com and MLB baseball are right-wing apologists for U.S. militarism and fascism, compromising the claims that baseball is a source of unity and inclusion in the world. Nothing could be further from the truth, as MLB actively promotes U.S. military incursions, and subversions of sovereignty, and compromises its objectively with raw, unabashed fealty to force, weapons, and sending U.S. personnel around the world to make life miserable for humanity. MLB is not alone in its mission to promote militaristic propaganda on behalf of U.S. government fascism and terrorism, as all major sports in the U.S. capitulate and promote U.S. imperialism and exceptionalism. Sports are nothing better than a capitalist expression of unilateral force and subjugation that is destroying the world.
Fewer games available every year but no reduction is price. Mobile devices sometimes allow you to log in, other times tell you you have ne subscription. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with - total waste of time calling them. Just a horrible service. Don't waste your money.
MLB.com totally misrepresent their product when they are selling it to you. They tell you will only be blacked out of games based on your physical location (I. E. Zip Code) when in fact you are blacked out of games based on the location reflected in your IP address, which can be very different. They can override this but you have to go thru a 20 minute ordeal with their horrible customer service each time it happens and then it's right back to the same problem for the next affected game. Why can't these morons simply build an override into their product when IP and physical addresses differ, which they often do. Couple this with the really bad quality of the streaming and it's just not worth it. They always tell you it's your internet speed that's the problem but how is it that everything else is OK except their games?
I ordered a hat as a Christmas gift for my son. It was supposedly in stock and would be delivered by 12/23/24. The tracking showed that it was delivered to UPS but it never actually made it to UPS. Now the item is no longer in stock anywhere. I will never order from this company again.
I ordered a t shirt the night the dodgers won the World Series the t shirt was a gift. It took 21 days to get it delivered. It was not a custom shirt, everyone had it. I thought it would be better going to MLB.com. It was not. Package came from Fanatics in Ohio. I could have walked it from Ohio to LA in 21 days. DO NOT use this company
They block out so many games I used to get every game except for one now I'm losing about 20-25 games a year you need Apple TV plus many other providers to watch your games what a rip off and they charge more for subscription now plus they get kickbacks from the other providers they keep saying they're going to do something about blackouts and the $#*!s make it worse
They're nothing but ripoff they used to be better years ago and now they sell shares to other companies to show their games and we have to pay more now what a scam I went to watch the game and it was on peacock I had to pay five bucks because they sold out to us I think it was a 30 million dollar contract and they'll be gone and they raised the price on us great company I have even talked to them they even lie half of them don't even know what's going on pathetic
I go on to look at stats and it only shows one category, i only see HRs with no drop down menu for other categories! It's a user experience disaster. I end up going to Fox. Honestly, MLB.com is so poorly managed because the sport is as well.
Total scam. MLB.com tricks people by not playing the commercials in the beginning of the season, thus causing people to decide to sign up. Furthermore, I think mlb.com filters who gets hit with the commercials. If you sign up for the yearly package, a marginal savings, in the beginning of the season mlb.com has no reason to please you and hits you soon with the commercials. For the past several years I have waited a month or two to sign up for a discount and have gotten no commercials. Years ago, however, when I was signing up for the entire year, I also got commercials. Mlb.com fooled me this time. I thought commercials were gone for good and mlb.com had done away with at least one part of its slimy practices. But alas...
MLB needs to stick to baseball and leave the media to the experts. I'm tired of blurry broad casts, repetitive commercials and now cutting short post game show for my local team. I pay 3x other media subscriptions for less than one year worth of watching a sport I love. I don't live near my teams ballpark, so travel to see in person games requires planning time and money. MLB is pushing out a strong market of fans. You don't have to be in a middle upper socioeconomic class to enjoy this game. Booo on you MLB Network!
Not only does this farce constantly take you back to the beginning of the game, it then will force you to wait. Troubleshooting? Unplug your modem and plug it back in. Anybody reading this should NOT CUT THE CORD! YouTube doesn't even offer MLB TV, believing their audience is too young to care about baseball. Also, I cannot agree more with a comment I saw that there are too many dugout interviews. Even of over the air (OTA) "free" broadcasts. NOBODY cares what the manager think! The same inane questions are asked/answered. No insight whatsoever. If Gregg Popovich did not teach the networks anything about how absurd and a waste of time these interviews are, then someone in sports management who is in charge of TV and this idea, in all major sport all need to be fired. MLB,NFL, NBA, Premier league and all of soccer/futbol, AFL, NRG, and the only one who comes close to getting it right is the NHL. But stop it too. Add to that, all "sideline reporters" except Tracey Wolfson need to be fired. They increase the costs, and absolutely deliver zero information during a game. Please stop all manager and player interviews before, during and after the game! Nobody learns anything and nobody cares. We all flip over to the next game to avoid the cliches. Again, we learn nothing. We really don't care about what the athletes a re doing with their foundations because they are a farce to hire their family and friends. And on Jackie Robinson Day, we get it. Where's Larry Doby's Day? Where's Hank AAron's day? The greatest player ever. Where's Babe Ruth's day? The man that saved baseball? Why isn't number 3retired across baseball. The Babe was the Man. And everyone who has tried to sully his name as a racist has been proven wrong. Where does Babe Ruth Stand in the annals of Baseball? If the standard media has it's way, he will be erased from the sport that he saved, and worked to get players paid more. He was stifled, and threatened if he kept pushing to get black player in the league. But, You.tv sucks. As a streaming serving, it can't stream. Again, cut my costs and get rid of every sideline reporter, especially when thy have two. No value at all.
The mlb.tv app/service is a joke! Woke rob and his dei officers care NOTHING about the fans, only about money and greed! All spring i watch the games no problem, opening day comes and i have to watch THREE ads just to get the game to start! And mind you these arent in game between innings ads, these are intrusive ads that take over the app and you cannot do anything but let them play or close the app, start over, and quickly find out you have to watch the commercials anyway when you restart! Then, i paused and went to make dinner and came back, and when i clicked play, it made me watch SIX more commercials that cannot be closed out or forwarded through! SIX! And dont even get me started on the blackouts! Yeah, its easy to get a vpn and get around it, but it's also costly and an unnecessary secondary cost you shouldnt have to endure to watch baseball! So... your choices are... be treated like a sheeple while they stuff woke robs woke nonsense down your throat with extra commercials... OR... go back to being extorted by the cable companies and pay ridiculous monthly amounts to essentially get one sports cable network you want to watch... OR... watch pirated feeds online which i am not a fan of... Me? I'm going with option 4. Ive created the gravestone and my mlb allegiance is done... dead. Finished... "Here lies my baseball fandom, may it rest in peace! 1981-2024" the woke metrosexuals who cant figure out which bathroom to use can have it! They're all baseball/woke rob care about now! Just ask the people in atlanta who had the all star game stolen from them a few years ago because stacey abrams told woke rob to move the game... kind of says it all, doesnt it...?
Mom loves baseball and watching games live on tv. We're in the Mtn. Time Zone and game start times don't match up with MLB.com's schedule. Call customer service and took 20 minutes just to locate our account, only to be told they can't seem to find the problem and I need to contact my streaming provider. Next day, the schedule timing is way off, so we give up and decide to sign up for cable + sports package. Yup, went backwards and instead of cutting the cable. Thanks mlb.com - you really bite. What a terrible service.
Thanks a lot MLB TV! You screwed me real good. First you made me pay twice, first for the all teams package and then for the Padres specific package. Now, I hope to watch some of the postseason games, perhaps the Dodgers/Diamondbacks game, and it's only on TBS. Yes, MLB is a monopoly, and they just don't give a $#*!.
Astros playing in Seattle (aka 9/25/23)...WHY would they be blacked out? Why would you EVER buy this app if you can't watch the team when they play...especially when they're out of town? STUPID. Note i'm in Texas. $25 a month and SOOOOO many blackouts. Won't be doing next season.
I live in Indianapolis and got the service to watch Cubs and Sox games, While I was on the trial all those games played perfectly BUT as soon as the trial was over they were all blacked out, after they got paid of course. Why would anyone want to pay for the service if they can't watch their team, isn't that why you would get it. They are sneaky after the trial your screwed, needless to say I dropped them immediately. Why pay for this when I can watch what they give me on sports center.
Constantly when using audio I lose reception or it jumps back and repeats itself. And I do not mean occasionally: but rather constantly—as many as 20-30 times in a nine inning game.
I live in SW Ohio and I watch the Cleveland Guardians. This is not a blackout area, but I have had multiple issues where games are blacked out. They always blame my ISP; however, my IP address has not changed. It takes on average 20-30 minutes to fix the issue, which means that I miss multiple innings. I pay a premium for this service, and they always treat me like it's my fault.
Been trying to watch the astros this summer. Tonight it was on spectrum but mlb said it was still blacked out.
I have almost never been able to watch a single astros game (except once. I have no idea why). Even when they were out of state on mlb
It was the biggest waste of money i can think of
MLB umpiring are going from bad to worst. I am fully aware that as human we are prone to mistakes but that is not an excuse. As a professional in any field, if you cannot maintain the required standard of an organization would require that you are let go. So why doesn't MLB have such standards? Umpire Diaz and Hernandez are worst that I have witnessed at any level. That have been the case for a number of years. I can accept a new umpire make these mistakes but I cannot understand these two that I mentioned above still on a baseball field.
