The overall reputation of Miss Travel is significantly tarnished by numerous customer complaints, primarily centered around the prevalence of scammers and fraudulent profiles. Many users report a lack of genuine interactions and express frustration over the site's inability to effectively manage and verify accounts. Positive experiences are rare, with a few users noting successful travel arrangements, but these are overshadowed by warnings about scams and inadequate customer support. The sentiment reflects a growing distrust towards the platform, suggesting a pressing need for improved verification processes and enhanced user safety measures.

I signed up for a 1-month membership, so that I could "Test" the integrity of Miss Travel, and discovered that the reviews I read prior to signing up were accurate. The site is plagued with Trolls from Africa, claiming to be wayward souls whoo are looking for a "good man". I'm sure there are a few "real" women on this site, but buyer beware. Use it for purely entertainment purposes, with the understanding that the people you meet there will mostly be fake. Of course, I'm way too smart to ever send some stranger any funds... but I thought it was amusing that one woman I chatted with told me she was experiencing "phone" issues, and couldn't talk- just text. Another asked me for an Amazon card a day after we exchanged a few msgs, so she could add time to her phone to call me... seriously, I was laughing out loud. At its inception, this site may have attracted a fairly quality following... now, it's interactive Spam. Stay away.
I joined a few months ago and so far haven't travelled anywhere.
The types of guys you'll most likely encounter on here:
1- He favourites you but never speaks
2- He asks random questions about your dream destinations then goes quiet
3-He messages you last minute expecting you to join him somewhere - as if I'd be crazy enough to join some stranger who I haven't even chatted with-_-
4-He asks for your number then asks you to send more pics of yourself ( even though I have 5 up on the site) or even worse he asks for nudes
5- He says he wants to go on a date or just says hi then goes quiet
This has been my experience on here it seems most of the members are either fake, unable to afford to take a lady on luxurious trips (splenda) or just looking for a prostitute.
One guy messaged me asking if I have a big bum, ummm you can do one mate
Another chap said he's going to Berlin for training 9-5 for three days and wants me to stay at a hotel and like a sex slave pleasure him after 5. I told him to sod off
Being the optimist that I am I'm still on there but I'm very careful, if you decide to join I hope you have better luck than me but don't be surprised if you get creepy messages like those.
I have used MissTravel for several years to meet women who wanted to travel for free. I've met some spectacular woman as well as a few that didn't quite work out. The problem now is that the site is overrun with scam artists (mostly from Ghana). Just for fun, I spent a good deal of time chatting with them to learn more about how they operate. None of them fooled me because if you have any common sense at all, they're pretty easy to spot. The bottom line is Miss Travel is now a wasteland of scammers. Stay as far away from this site as you can. However, if you insist on using it, you'll know there's a problem if a woman says her camera doesn't work, her microphone doesn't work, or she refuses to have a voice or video chat on Whatsapp or Skype. You should also run all her pictures through an image search. Pretty soon you'll find out that almost every single woman you meet on MissTravel is fraudulent.
So far my experience has shown there are about 50 scammers for every one "real" woman. The good news is that they are really easy to spot. Their profiles all follow the same general format, have several high quality pictures, have their phone number and email address and they are all incredibly hot. Phone numbers are an easy give away, they type them with +1 at the begining which is the international dialing code, who in the US does that.
So since they are so easy to spot but are so plentiful I can't imagine they are actually trying to do anything about it, more likely they are site sponsored as many here have suggested.
The best part is on the page where you can report people there is a warning that YOU might get banned for reporting too many people.
I completely 100% have no doubt that there are a ton of fake female profiles out there and scammers. With that being said I am a hot, normal, classy, REAL woman that will never use this sight ever again! I have had nothing bad experiences. It would be pretty awesome if there was a single guy on MT that treated the sight for its actual purpose. All these men want is a prostitute. I'm sure the reason they don't just go rent one for a week is because they're cheap! They'd have to pay for her time and the trip. By tricking an unsuspected regular girl into hooking for free essentially they're saving thousands I'm sure. Not to mention this site is filled with fat, dirty old men. I did end up meeting one guy for lunch. He was a poster child for the expression "thirsty" and actually started touching himself under the table! Ladies save yourself the hassle. A free trip isn't worth your safety and dignity!
In fairness, I think the concept is just wrong. Unless you are a hooker I don't recommend this site. Unlike other sugar daddy sites, this one is for guys who are visiting town so there's absolutely no chance of an ongoing relationship. I signed up and had a few men proposition me but all were the same: "You are beautiful but since we don't live in the same town I can just offer you $$ for 2-hours of your time... yuck!
I, subscribed to miss travel, on july 10th, because I am black most likely and African, my transaction was labelled as fraud. Transaction that I used my personal card to pay for, so the original owner of the card is fraudulently using his card to pay for a site, i made a complaint, and I was threathened by a miss anna, that I will be reported to relevant agencies. This is a warning re-instate my account or refund my full sum under 72hrs or I will personally report you to the bank that your company fraudulently charged my card and I did not give you guys authorization, since you can threathen me, I can also threathen you. You have been warned
I know it seems like a good idea, but... dont bother, and stay away. More trouble than its worth. And super risky. Tried to join the site to see what its about despite the bad reviews... someones already using my email address (the junk one i never use) for an account of their site. So either a scammer has it, or the site itself is using it in a fake scam. Either way, already turned off to the idea of this website. And based on other reviews of other travel sites... theyre all trash... wishful thinking, but theyre all awful.
Miss Travel is full of cheating husband's and horny ugly old losers who just wants to get laid while traveling. I cancelled my membership and I'll just plan out trips with my busy but normal friends and family.
Forget for a moment that most the women on there (can't speak for the men) are fakes and scammers with stolen pictures, fabricated home cities, and who are only interested in getting your credit card number - the surprising part is that the site barely works. Last search I ran showed a 25 year old who it reported "last logged in 73 years ago." It included a dozen women supposedly from Peru, IL and Lima, Kentucky that only speak Spanish. I've revised my profile a dozen times but it refuses to list me as "looking for a traveling companion" - on a supposed travel companion website! The last Trip I posted there reported that seven women were interested in going but it would only show me two of them. Just too many more problems to list here. PS. I'm a paying member and although most of the time they keep saying the issues are on my end, I've tried it on several platforms, with the latest OS and several different browsers. Update: I added a second star to my review because if you are extremely careful, are upfront about your expectations (and find another who does the same) you can possibly find a travel companion. But I still find too many flaws in both the app and in the (non-existent) vetting of members.
What happened with miss travel, I used it 1,5 years and few days ago my password not work but I received messages from people on my email, I wrote customer service but 10 days have No answer, I did new profile but after few minits I received message from admin and they block me because I don't write in my profile why I want travel, what is it?
I like miss travel but i prefer www.girlstravelling.com it's easier to search and write to a girl and there are more profiles compared to misstravel
I was just google searching if the site was down for maintenance or issues and came across these reviews and thought I'd put in my 2 cents. I've been on the site for over a year and have met up with three women. One where I covered the Expenses and they flew to me, twice in which we met somewhere and split the costs. All three were fantastic experiences and we had a great time. Still in touch with two of them and are good friends. I've been on many dating sites and it is generally very easy to tell which ones are filled with fake profiles and scams. I have never come across a fake profile so far as I can tell and have never had one woman send me a message asking me to go to a link to something else to chat. If you are not getting responses maybe you are targeting women out of your league or maybe they're just not attracted to you. I've sent plenty of messages with no response. I've also received many messages that I didn't respond to. I wasn't interested. I'm getting ready to go on another trip soon and can't wait. Take your time and put in the effort to contact women on the site, send real messages not simple "Hi". You get out what you put in and so far for me this has been one of the least fake dating websites I've seen. There are plenty of women looking for sugar daddys yes. But most I've talked with have at least been real and honest about it. Respect that. There are also plenty of real women. In my experience.
I am a real person, with a real interest in travelling. (NOT a scammer, I am actually a travel blogger) and I was permanently banned from this site for no explanation whats so ever. Was even threatened with legal action. Seems like they only keep the REAL scammers on this site and make some of the money they steal. Stay clear of this.
Wanted to try this website after seeing a news story on it and thoufht it looked like a lot of fun. I spoke to about 8 guys on and off and 3 guys more seriously. Ended up exchanging numbers with the 3 main guys and planned to meet two of them but one cancelled on me on the day and one never got back to me. The last one i met spontaneously one evening and had a wonderful time! We met a couple times more before he flew me out to spain. A few months later i have been flown out to spain three times, portugal once and been to gibraltar once. I didn't think i'd find someone i would want to be serious with but i am really happy how this has turned out! Guess you just have to be lucky with whom you meet. And always be careful,
As a male using this site I was just disappointed. So many fake profiles and girls looking to rob men.
Talked with a young lady for weeks she was real however after purchasing her ticket she flew in and I never saw her depart the plane... which means someone else got the ticket
Im just a normal guy with a good head on my shoulders. Had a fabulous experience with a wonderful younger woman. I looking forward to booking my next trip. However, dont be an idiot, use your head when sifting through the offerings. I had a gorgeous woman wink at me yesterday, we talked in the phone and she was awesome. I went to look at airfare and shared what I found with her. She didnt want to fly Spirit nonstop, she wanted Delta which was 50% more, it made me think. I googled her and found an arrest record for prostration. The trip I planned was to Vegas and the entire idea gave me cold feet as it relates to her. Use your head and think. BTW her name is Jana Zinkel from GA.
I tried this site for a week to find a long term/marriage partner that loves to travel. The first message I got a guy offering money for services I reported it to the page only for them to suspend my profile. Yet the people doing this and escorting still have their pages running up. I was in shock and safe to say I never want to try this site ever again. What a waste and sham
I used the site as man with paid option to send messages as many I want. I got some annoying messages from people who are from Nigeria and yes you can call them scammer. But sent and I also got messages from local girls who like to travel. I went to date some of the girls and all are real people. I stated clearly as I pay the trips I wanted to have benefits and all the girls I been they see the deal as FWB. There are plenty of escorts and hoes directly asking money without ever seeing them. They look payment for their time as per per meet. Block them directly please. The website could be better done and messages option work better. Easy to find girls. Many of the girls are also on the Seeking Arrangement site.
I've been on this site for about a year, and more often than not, the beautiful woman I communicate with, turns out to be a scam. They conjure up a reason for you to send them money. Or if you suggest to meet them via video call (i. E. Skype), they say they can't because they "don't have Skype", and they suddenly disappear when you start to question them as to details of their life. You suddenly get a strong feeling you're communicating with some Eastern European in his one room apartment who created the profile to try to scam money out of people like me - and it worked. I've had small luck with this website, so my advice is tread cautiously, or don't tread at all.
